A thin sheet of very shiny and well defined gold of a strong yellow color, quite exceptional for the locale. Besides the outstanding color, it’s the surface that makes this piece so special. Both sides show incredibly detailed crystallizations with triangular shapes distributed all over it. Combined with a distinctive outline and great luster this adds up to a fantastic piece altogether! It is complete all around, distinctive and quite catchy for a piece that size!

This is quartz at its very best!
An impressive single crystal that is clear as glass with a perfect wet-look luster. It is almost colorless but shows a nice yellowish tinge throughout the whole crystal body. The sharp pointed termination is a bit rough at the tip but which apparently is not due to damage. Also the bottom, where it detached from the rock, is not freshly broken but fully re-healed.
As you can well see in our video, this is an elegant and truly fascinating specimen of Alpine quartz!

One extremely sharp and gemmy cinnabar crystal is set on a characteristic dolomite/rock matrix. The crystal shows fantastic brigth red color and a very distinctive and flawless twin-architecture! In picture 2 and 4 you can see the crystal in natural light, picture 1 and 3 attach direct backlight. The crystal is set on contrasting cream-colored dolomite that is grown on grey rock matrix. This rare beauty is from an old find when some of the best cinnabar was found in China.

The Weisseck area is well-known for producing fluorites with good quality for the last years. This specimen comes from a special pocket found some years ago. Most of the bigger specimens I have seen are broken or trimmed on the back side, but this specimen is alos fully crystallized at the back. As the group is pretty thin, it does not need as much light as the bigger crystals, to show the very intense purple color.Currently in the A. Watzl Sr. collection.

XFBS - Fluorite and Barite and Quartz - 4200€
Berbes Mining area, Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain
Size: 10.2 x 7.3 x 5.8 cm

Considering how beautiful these fluorites from the Berbes mining area can get it is unfortunate that the mines are no longer active and deeply buried unter debris. This is an unusually fine exemplar from a brighter period that features a rich number of purple fluorite cubes on a background of sparkling white quartz and ivory barite. The Fluorites are up to 1.5 cm on edge, glassy and lustrous with gorgeous surface structures! The crystals are almost colorless near the surface but are filled with a purple color that gets more and more satiated the deeper it gets. A rarity that's very nice to look upon and in outstanding condition!

This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way.
This is basically a very strong and thick singly "bow tie" cluster, distinctively developed and with a bright luster! It is free of any damage, only a at the bottom you will find some contacted remainder of a second crystal which is not at all visible from the front. Very much striking and characteristic for this new find!

A classic miniature specimen of solid silver from Kongsberg. The single claw-like structure that protrudes from the top defines the distinctive shape and makes the piece unique and attractive. A interplay of oxidised silver on the outer surface and bright shiny zones in countless cavities brings the piece to live as if there was some inner glow! A nice classic piece without any downsides!

It's a rather natural matrix that features a single main anatase on the right and a group of quartz crystals on the left side. This arrangement very much emphasizes the anatase which is a sharp and highly lustrous crystal. With strong direct illumination you can see a strikingly blue zone towards the termination and gemmy brown patches further down. This 1.1 cm main crystal is accompanied my several anatase micro-crystals, scattered over the rock surface.
