Wow, what a bomb! This impressive topaz crystal is just huge and mighty! Striking ice blue color gleams inside the characteristic topaz-shape and is enclosed by sparklingly lustrous faces. The crystals body is clouded at the center but nicely transparent at the edges. Impressive quality for a piece of this large size, which is just simply unique. The bottom is framed by some mica, probably lepidolite which nicely completes the picture. At the back side one restoration is present. An overall breath-taking specimen of elegance and splendour!

The size of this incredible quartz specimen is just staggering but once you got over that you will continue to be impressed by the incredibly high quality. The quartz is glassy, highly lustrous all around and well terminated. The larger main crystal is 6 cm broad and actually consists of two intergrown crystals. It has a sharp chisel termination and is, like all the other crystals on this cluster, in perfect condition. At the insides of several crystals you will find beautiful chloritized phantoms which add a very special as well as characteristic Alpine look to this specimen. The backside is contacted but mostly re-crystallized, the front is completely flawless. A real masterpiece from Piz Regina near the Lumnezia Valley in the Swiss canton of Graubünden.

This is a highly exquisite piece mined at the famous Jeffrey Quarry! The main crystals are pretty good isolated, up to 2cm tall and well balanced attached to the matrix. The beautiful intense cocngac color of the garnets is showing a strong contrast to the much darker matrix. The crystals are very gemmy and lustrous, like small jewels and looking simply gorgeous! Except some small contacts, the specimen is in a great condition. Really stunning in person and a perfect fit for the advanced collector! Check out the video, this speaks for itself!

WOW, this is an incredible specimen from the Tsumeb mine, which is the classic locality for dioptase, still setting the standard for this mineral in my opinion. Many crystals of high brilliance are well isolated situated on the white matrix of dolomite and calcite, showing a great contrast. The main crystal in the middle is 1.6 cm long and 1 cm wide. All crystals are highly lustrous, gemmy and of the best quality you can look for! Just one of the side crystals has a very small edgewear, while all the others are completely pristine. Really stunning in person!! price on request

RK34 - Quartz var. Amethyst - SOLD
Guerrero, Mexico

Guerrero is famous for its highly appreciated amethysts of fine quality. I have seen a lot of clusters in the past, while really nice pieces are pretty rare though, especially when it comes to matrix specimens like this. The interaction of the purple amethyst and the beautiful yellow-brown matrix is unbelievable on this specimen. The amethyst is furiously shooting out in all directions, what makes the piece very 3-dimensional and showy also from the sides. The piece is in a very good condition, while one of the crystals has a damage worth to mention, but luckily pointed to the back and not visible from the front side therefore. As there are many main crystals on that piece, this is fully accaptable. It was in the collection of the University of Arizona in Tucson for many years! They have a very fine selection of amethysts, but this piece is the best specimen on matrix I have seen there. Really stunning and sweet! Ex-Hubert de Monmonier, University of Arizona, Reinhard Dallinger

KR00 - Tourmaline on Quartz - SOLD
Mogok Township, Mandalay Division, Burma (Myanmar)
Size: 8.4 x 6.8 x 5.6 cm

This is one of the very finest tourmaline we have ever seen coming from Burma! The color you see in the picture is real and stands in stark contrast to the white quartz-matrix. A pristine play of gemmy pink tourmaline and lustrous clear quartz that blooms like a flower, sweet as nectar and with a mysterious inner glow. Somewhere on this piece there are small gapfills but which are so small and insignificant that even I forgot where to search for them. A staggering piece of outstanding quality and beauty!

KR56 - Mimetite - SOLD
Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Tsumeb, Namibia
Size: 4.6 x 3.6 x 2.3 cm

The Tsumeb Mine is famous for producing the best mimetite crystals worldwide. Highlight of the Tsumeb history is the legendary "gem pocket" from '71. Unprecedentedly sharp edged crystals of perfect transparency, attractive yellow color and a typical shape of elongated hexagonal prixms with basal pinacoid terminations have come from this small pocket that produced only around 30 specimens. This is one of those fantastic and highly coveted "gem pocket" mimetites. A considerable number of richly sparkling crystals are attractively arranged on matrix to form this wonderful and outstanding specimen. The whole piece is in remarkable condition with all main crystals flawless and only some minor peripheral issues. A real marvel and an incredibly rare chance!

A new gold rush has broken out in Brazil! A spectacular new find on a completely new location near Bolivias border has produced some of the finest Gold specimen I have ever seen coming from this country, well known for its fine world-class minerals. The quality we see here is just exceptional in person and outclasses almost everything we know even from Alta Floresta. Sharp crystals meet brigth golden color. Lovely filigree growth meets a vibrant sheen. This specimen, vaguely shaped like a flame or a wafting spirit, is especially 3-dimensional as you can very well see in our video. A sweeping sculpture of dramatic visual impact. Flawless and appealing all around this massy 70 gramm piece is a real stunner. As it is a floater, also the bottom shows not the slightest contact. Sensational quality as a trademark for this new find!

In short, this is as good as it gets! The quality of this dramatic single isolated aquamarine on matrix is breathtaking. It is absolutely water-clear, has pristine luster and a unusually fine tapered, polyhedral termination. At the right angle you can see on vertical internal crack, reaching down only about half a centimeter from the top which is absolutely nothing to be concerned about. The crystal is perched on a vivid white feldspar matrix with black contrasting schorl. This is an older specimen, found in the 90s, that never lost anything of its matchless class. A real jewel!
