This cabinet size specimen is a nice combination of tetrahedrite on a beautiful dark matrix covered in dolomite and quartz. At some spots you can see some orange wulfenite but which unfortunately is not very well preserved. Most striking about this piece is the large 2.5 cm crystal that literally stands out of this landscape-like surface. The combination of quartz and pinkish dolomite makes a very 3-dimensional visual support for the dominant tetrahedrite. A very appealing piece in overall good condition that is a rarity for the famous Tsumeb Mine.
A small pearl and a sparkling one! Absolutely brilliant luster shines on this gemmy crystal of utter beauty. Its star-like shape is just exceptional and visible from all sides. A piece that exceeds its physical size by far. Being free of any visible damage, this specimen is a real jewel!
It's looking at me! Two virtually perfect spherical clusters of prismatic stibnite crystals are perched on a brown matrix like eyeballs. At direct illumination a mesmerizing blue shimmer is revealed. The shape of this specimen is absolutely unique and - if you ask me - outstandingly brilliant! Coming from a very old find there have only been few pieces of this exceptional spherical shape. All of those short prismatic crystals are in perfect shape, sharp and lustrous. A high-class piece and a real classic!
The sheer amount of top-quality augelite on this important piece is just amazing! Augelite of this brilliance has only been found at the Mundo Nuevo Mine in Peru, but such a richly loaded piece is rare and dramatic even for that standard. The single isolated augelite crystals reach a size of around 1.3 cm and are embedded in a sparkling white matrix of glassy and gemmy colorless quartz. This is definitely a premium piece of exceptional quality, best condition and outstanding size!
Charming cream-yellow calcite stands in contrast to sparkling white quartz crystals. The piece is in overall good condition with some smaller edgewear here and there but no actual damage. The calcite itself is a cluster of hundreds of smaller crystals forming two glistening spheres on matrix. While calcite from Cavnic is typically white or maybe a pale yellow, this specimen holds unusually intense coloring. This is a highly aesthetic piece of textbook composition, good contrast and exceptional quality!
A heavy matrix of pyrite and chalcopyrite carries a combination of rhodochrosite and calcite with some accessory quartz. The two carbonates form a nicely harmonious picture of pink and white, all woven over a 3-dimensional matrix. With no visible damage this is a charming piece all around.
A strinking combination of transparent long prismatic quartz supporting a cluster of grey-brown octahedral scheelite crystals, covered in signal yellow stolzite. While there are some abrasions visible, exposing the scheelite, there is no actual damage to be found here. This is a massy, 3-dimensional piece and a good example for the famous and utterly unique 2014 find at Mundo Nuevo Mine. At the bottom and the backside you see accessory hübnerite crystals, also typical for the locale. Highly attractive and rare, this is a unusual combination-piece of great importance.
A brilliant glassy tourmaline crystal of elegant blueish color with pink at the termination and the bottom. The multifaceted termination shows excellent luster. While the backside is contacted - which actually adds a very welcome structure - with some chips at the edges, the front is perfect, clear and nicely striated. A charming single crystal tourmaline of very good quality.
This elegant silver sepcimen is an important and rather large example for the 2014 find at the Andaychagua Mine. A single "herringbone" aggregate plate rises from a spacial white calcite matrix. The silver is very thin and fragile yet in perfect condition and incredibly beautiful. Depending on the light the silvery-grey color shows a vivid sheen all around and draws attention to itself. A high class silver specimen from this new Peruvian locale.
The juicy green color of this fine specimen instantly reminds me of a sweet exotic fruit, waiting for me to have a good healthy bite. The brilliance of this very lively specimen is just spectacular and directs the visual focus to the combination of apple green fluorite and white to pale yellow scalenohedral calcite that sit atop the fluorite structure like a cap. The fluorite is a 3-dimensional cluster of water-clear cubical crystals stacked upon each other. A very fresh piece that is beautiful on 360° and free of any damage. Highest crystal quality and unique aesthetics are combined to an absolutely stunning piece!
The open-pit Chino Mine is one of the oldes copper mines of North America where already prehistoric peoples took native copper from. This is a fine example for the great quality this mine produces, with bright color and very sharp crystals. It is a full, fork-like arranged floater, free of any damage and strikingly aesthetic. Very showy and vibrant in person!
A deeply cherry-red and sparkling fireworks that shows high luster, especially on the side faces. The vanadinite crystals are covering a smaller piece of matrix and piling up to form a specimen of exceptionally fine aesthetics. This whole piece is in a very good condition with only minor damage at some spots. A highly appealing piece for a low price.
