WOW, this is an awesome indigolite in combiantion with a very nice doubly terminated quartz on the back! Most of the pieces coming to the market are simply single crystals without any matrix and I have seen this combiantion only very rareley in the past! The quartz is perfectly grown on the back side of the troumaline here and also in the right hight! The indigolite has a beautiful pointed termination, which improves the over all appearance even more! All this properties combined on one pice are making a beautiful outline here and a great aesthetics! The crystal is showing an intense blue color with just a slightly touch of green. It is transparent, free of damage and lustrous! Over all this is a high quality indigolite easily good enough for the edvanced collector.
Found in spring 2014 this specimen is one of the finest of its kind. The striking turquoise Paraiba-color is caused by copper and catches the eye instantly. Analysis identified this mineral as the extremely rare tridymite crystobalite opal. Especially specimens on matrix are almost impossible to come by, so this one might just be the chance of a lifetime!
This group of adularia is nested atop a snow-white cluster of pericline. The piece is a floater in a totally flawless condition with a beautiful green chlorite coating at the bottom. To see the distinct 3-dimensional character, you would want to watch the video. Very nice in person, this specimen appears fine and very attractive.
Serandite of such extraordinary quality is only produced by the mines of this classic locale and is incredibly rare on the market. The salmon colored crystal is prominently situated on a beautiful brown and white matrix with inclusions of black aegirine. What you find here is perfect textbook aesthetics with a flawless crystal of brilliant luster, color and quality. A fantastic piece and a rare opportunity!
I love the dramatic contrast on this piece, where the single bright green emerald crystal is perched upon a beautiful black and white matrix. The emerald shows some tiny edgewear, but strikes through brilliant luster and an intense green color. The matrix shows crystallized calcite on all sides and offers just the perfect proportion for this eye-catching emerald crystal of 0.8 cm in length. A superb piece of excellent aesthetics.
I love the luscious colors of this tourmaline! Ranging from a deep water-blue to an elegant green in several zones, the change of colors is truly fascinating. It needs some illumination from the back to be honest, but when provided this is absolutely worth a look! The specimen consists of two elongated crystals that are grown together. There is a contact and some edge wear to be found at the backside of the crystals, which is not visible from the front. A mesmerizing piece of unusually fine colors.
A highly aesthetic, heart shaped grey schist matrix with striking honey-yellow titanite. The main titanite crystal is a 1.8 cm long, gemmy and completely flawless "fishtail" twin. Scattered across the matrix there are a number of smaller titanites as well. The matrix itself is nicely crystallized with white feldspar on all sides and provides an appealing background for the main attraction of this piece. This is a shiny example for a high quality titanite on matrix from the Austrian Alps.
This thumbnail specimen is quite a joy, presenting a single translucent titanite crystal of striking shape, color and luster in combination with adularia crystals, covered in chlorite. A well balanced and aesthetic piece, with good color and charming all around.
I love the aesthetics of this fine little specimen! A cubical fluorite dominantly and well centred sits on a supportive matrix of smaller fluorite. The crystal has bright candy yellow color, is lustrous and flawless. The whole piece is in best condition and perfectly attractive!
This is a beautiful cluster of quartz crystals, fanning out like a blossom. The crystals sit on a heavy galena matrix, covered in lovely pink rhodochrosite. Associated with the main crystals are smaller amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite. The quality of the quartz is all magnificent with no damage anywhere. A just lovely piece of 3-dimensional beauty!
This V-shaped smoky quartz specimen is a real jewel. Extremely high quality meets a strikin shape. Both crystals are glassy through and through with fantastic luster and perfect pointed terminations. The small amount of matrix very much enhances the overall aesthetics of this lovely piece. A floater with right-handed quartz that has no downsides whatsoever.
The beautiful chocolat brown color immediately tells you one thing: This small cabinet smoky quartz comes from the Swiss locale Val Giuv! Admittedly there is some minor damage present but nothing very obvious from the front view. The crystals are all glassy with very good luster on all sides, especially the largest crystal with 2.2 cm in diameter shows best quality and color. Very pretty on all sides and characteristic for the locale!
