The aesthetics of this smaller piece is just about perfect! One single crystal of dark smoky quartz protrudes from a whitish matrix plate, accompanied by smaller side crystals that support its figurative weight. The crystal is free of damage and internal cracks, shows nice surface structure and good luster. Between the side crystals you can find several small hematite roses as is characteristic for the locale. The matrix is cut at the bottom but otherwise of fine, natural appearance. An elegant piece of good quality!
Whichever attribute you would want to assign to this grand specimen it sure is neither "typical", "ordinary" or even "textbook". Much more this group of amethyst sceptres is an untamed, vibrant beauty of intensive color, 3-dimensional composition and natural charm! An exceptionally rugged piece that holds a staggering amount of beautiful details, all composed to shape this unusual yet very much appealing specimen. Silvery muscovite and white adularia make a great and characteristic association. Despite the size and volume there is hardly any damage to be found here. One repair is present, which is only very hardly visible. Absolutely stunning in person and a real eye-catcher!
What used to be a 5.7 cm thick main crystal accompanied by a smaller side-crystal detatched from the matrix and completely re-crystallized at the bottom to form this unusual and absolutely marvellous piece. The crystal is of light smoky brown color and clear as glass. The surface ranges from medium to perfect mirroring luster and is beautifully structured on all sides. There is no damage to worry about. Some small hematite together with the superb quality mark this fine quartz as a characteristic Cavradi specimen!
A very nice combination of quartz and pericline with great aesthetics from the famous Rauris valley in Austria!
This is one of the smaller specimens I have got from this find! Though, it is a very nice specimen with great quality. The crystal has a size of 1cm and is very nice attached on the matrix of sparkling albites. The whole specimen is in a very good condition and completely free of damage.
A very gemmy gwindel with the best quality you can look for. As this specimen is very thick it looks very impressive in person.
If you go to Switzerland, you will see it is a big challange to find any good alpine fluroites there. This is a very lovely group in combination with a very nice quarz. The luster, color and gemminess of the crystals are very good.
A very nice combination of barite with a layer of quartz! The quartz is beautiful sparkling, which is also very good visible on the video!
This is a wonderful multicolored tourmaline of high quality. The crystal is very glassy, highly lustrous and free of any damage! It is really good in person and showing a bright and open color!
Wonderful pink rhodochrosite blades compose this especially lively specimen. Its 3-dimensional character and the appealing heart-shape define this piece and render it just unique. The crystals are perfect in condition and shape. Truly a very attractive specimen in person. A must have for any collector of fine minerals and collectors of the famous Type Locality of Cavnic!
A sparkling marvel of exquisite aesthetics, this piece is the perfect choice for any collector of fine minerals! Several layers of hematite are imbedded in adularia. Upon the mirror-like faces of the hematite blades you see rutile of fantastic deep red color that brightly shine even in low light. The whole composition, the combination of these three minerals is simply superb!
Like snowballs on a slope, these two flawless and highly lustrous yellow calcite crystals are sitting on a beautiful pink matrix that supports the dramatic charm of this specimen.
