A breathtaking cluster of dozens of pink tourmaline crystals that are chaotically composed around each other. Accompanied by some mica the aesthetics of this specimen is just incredibly attractive. All around there is no damage to be found at all. The crystals show great luster, are limpid and of nice pink color with a slight orange tinge at the longer crystals. Utterly unique and simply beautiful!
The sheer size of 16.3 cm is absolutely striking. Combined with high quality and beautiful colors this doubly-terminated (!) crystal is a real stunner. The red core of the lower half is fully embraced by a thin green layer. The upper half is of a marvelous green color that is just wonderful in person. This tourmaline is in outstanding condition though it is repaired one time - which is, in my opinion, fully acceptable on a great piece like this. Imposing like a rocket, this tourmaline is outstanding!
Despite the first impression from the picture, the termination of this crystal has only very minor edge wear. This is actually a doubly terminated tourmaline of great color with some londonite at the bottom. Unfortunately the smaller side-tourmaline is broken but therefore we reduced the price on this one. This is still a very much striking piece in overall good condition! Very lovely in person!
This is a tree-shaped composition of mossy green epidote with brown axinite crystals at its base and the backside. There is no damage to be found on this lovely piece of outstandingly nice aesthetics.
A rare piece of impressively large schwatzite on a beautyful calcite-matrix. The main crystal is 2 cm in diameter and has sharp edges. The backside is largely contacted but not damaged. At the base of the schwatzite green malachite has grown like moss at the base of a tree. White calcite provides a perfect contrast for the metallic schwatzite.
Water-clear, delicately colored and brilliantly lustrous this floater quartz is very impressive for a single crystal. It shows typical Alpine character with no downsides. At the backside you will find some lovely mica as well as some rutile needles. Some edges are a bit rough but not damaged. A great piece for a small price!
The combination of smoky quartz with intensely pink fluorite, sitting directly at its base is just mind blowing. The lovely aesthetics of a flower growing on a mountainside. The quartz is heavily modified and widely overgrown with adularia which gives it a unique and very natural appearance. The bottom is crystallized and without damage as is the rest of this beautiful piece. Remarkable in every way and a highlight for every collection of fine Swiss minerals.
This crystal shows absolutely best luster, especially at the main view with the large terminal face which grants a look deep into the limpid crystal. It is complete on all sides and the bottom as well, where there are fully re-crystallized contacts, partly covered in some dark green chlorite. The whole piece is in fact flawless and a marvelous example for best quality Felbertal quartz!
Not only exceptionally rare but also a piece of great aesthetics and unusual shape. Colorless to yellowish prehnite crystals have completely overgrown a large adularia specimen on 360°. When turning the piece around you see two color zones, caused by green chlorite showing through the prehnite. The condition is mostly flawless with smaller contacts but no damage. A remarkable piece of Alpine prehnite, unusually shaped and of fine quality!
Only very rarely do you see iron roses of such fine and exuberant structure. A single large rosette with blades up to 3.1 cm in diameter dominantly sits on a small but glassy piece of quartz. Its surface is mostly silky flat but getting more and more bright the more it reaches the rose's center. There is one damaged blade at the very top but fortunately more to the back of the piece. Anyway it is extremely hard to get a fragile piece like this in flawless condition. In fact it is extremely hard to get a piece like this AT ALL! Watch our video for a better view on this spectacular piece!
A true masterpiece of a gwindel! The massive crystal is clear as a window, lustrous on both the front and the backside and is in great condition. An accompanying quartz crystal at the lower front is contacted but not damaged. The termination is to a very low degree chloritized, nothing that would desturb from the fantastic beauty of this specimen. Some edgewear keeps me from calling this piece "perfect" although that would be only a small step. Majestic, classic, outstanding!
Bare, metallic pyrite of such sharp outline is more than rare in the Austrian Alps as most specimens are covered in a layer of limonite. Quality like this has only been discovered in one single find, around 20 years ago. We were lucky to get this piece out of the finders private collection. The crystal on this specimen is 3.7 cm on edge and reflects golden color all around. It prominently sits atop a piece of feldspar matrix, covered in chlorite. Nice textbook aesthetics catches the eye and emphasizes the large pyrite crystal, heart of this exceedingly rare piece!
