A classic piece from this old mineral deposit that strikes with a unusually rich paragenesis. The front view immediately focuses on a hexagonal shape of pyrite. In fact this obviously is a large pyrrhotite crystal that has been pseudomorph transformed to or maybe just overgrown by hundreds of golden pyrite crystals. Further to the back there is a crown-like formation of white calcite and pink rhodochrosite adding nice color and shape. The base of this impressive piece is of massive galena, partly overgrown with fine quartz needles and even, at closer inspection, some gypsum. Large and heavy yet vibrant and full of pretty details!
Wonderfully aesthetic and of best tourmaline quality, this is a beautiful and very well balanced specimen of liddicoatite with contrasting white albite. The single crystal is sharp and well defined with a flat, superbly lustrous termination. The whole piece is in best condition with some contact but no real damage - a small chip at the back is not fresh but re-healed. Give it some backlight and the intense pink color of the top zone is unbeatable! Lower down, the color changes to olive green and brick red at the bottom, all very much transparent and striking. A brilliant miniature of excellent aesthetics!
This quartz is of great aesthetics showing very shap phantoms inside! I got this out of an old collection in europe. It is prestene all around except some edgewear at the back of the main crystal. Still, this is a very nice specimen and a perfect fit for every alpine or quartz collector!
The two different crystal habits make this specimen different and very special in comparison to all the others of this find. This is the only specimen which shows this in one piece! An albite of this shape, size and quality is extremely rare and I have never seen this before. The aesthetics is the best you can look for and also the outline is really great. The whole speicmen is in very good condition. Really fantastic!
WOW! This is an exceptional group of fluorite and extremely nice situated on the white matrix of quartz. The crystals have a very nice purple color and very sharp edges. Well, it seems these are etched out of the matrix but this does not detract the beauty of this specimen at all and the price is much lower also therefore. It is free of any damage.
A very nice group of quartz from Val Bedretto. It consists of many small crystals of high quality and luster with up to 2 cm in length. This type is very typical for this locale.
This group comes from a very small and unique find, which has yielded just a very few specimens of this type. While the lower third of the specimen has the color of a typical prasem quartz, the upper side is very nice purple. The specimen has a great aesthetic and it is very 3-dimensional in person.
Another beautiful mangano calicte. Very 3-dimensional in person.
A wonderful smoky quarz crystal is coming out of a very nice matrix with some small adularias. It is in a very good condition with a very good luster and clarity! As a special extra the crystal is doubly terminated, what is uncommon on a crystal with such a good quality.
This crystal has a very good size for such a good quality! It is bright green, gemmy and very clear! It has a very good termination, showing many well beveled faces!
This single dark smoky quartz crystal erupts from a purely white matrix of adularia like from a sparkling ice shelf. What a fabulous contrast! The whole piece is highly lustrous and in outstanding condition. The one single chip (less than one millimeter in diameter) at the termination of the quartz is negligible and not visible from the main view. Appealing aesthetics and high quality at a hand-sized specimen!
This thin, tabular quartz crystal is unusually nice and a rare piece for its uncommon shape. The vitreous crystal holds golden rutile needles inside. It is perfect all around with just one minor chip at the lower left side which is totally hidden from the front. A very special thumbnail piece from Habachtal, Austria.
