One single epidote crystal of about 2.5 cm in length protrudes from the pointed termination of a glassy quartz crystal of superb quality. An exceptional piece of elegance and lovely aesthetics. The epidote itself is limpid, of olive-green color and with an unharmed termination. Despite its exposed position this crystal is flawless and not repaired! The quartz has beautiful inclusions of byssolite and epidote and is in perfect condition as well. A rare piece of unusual aesthetics!

XY31 - Quartz - SOLD
Valsertal, Surselva, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 10.3 x 7.1 x 3.7 cm
Watch Video

Somehow typical yet somehow unusual. The large main crystal emerges from a piece of matrix, completely overgrown with small white quartz crystals. It is terminated at the bottom and flawless all over. The backside is nicely encrusted with some grey-brown matrix and quartz crystals of differing size. At the lower left side there is a weirdly curved quartz, a detail I have only rarely seen. This is a lustrous, attractive specimen of distinctive composition and remarkable crystal quality!

RK371 - Quartz with Siderite - SOLD
Gjaidtroghöhe, Große Fleiß valley, Hohe Tauern, Carinthia, Austria
Size: 5.9 x 4.8 x 3.6 cm
Watch Video

Now this is an unusual piece! Several quartz crystals of very good quality are grown on a pericline matrix. Atop the main crystal a rather large ball of rust-brown siderite is perched and attracts most of the attention. The whole piece is a floater and free of any considerable damage. This is definitely a unique piece from an uncommon locale.

OK18 - Quartz - SOLD
Wolfskogel, Schwarzenbachtal, Zillertaler Alpen, Ahrntal, South Tyrol, Italy
Size: 6.2 x 2.5 x 2 cm
Watch Video

A single quartz crystal of great quality, perfectly gemmy, sharp and with a nice alpine-type surface striation. The bottom is completely crystallized and flawless. At the lower backside the quartz is encrusted with some hematite and feldspar which is nicely visible through the water clear crystal. The luster is very good all around though I have to admit, it is even better at the backside. A negligible drawback on a otherwise great crystal!

XK2 - Amethyst - SOLD
Mörchnerkar, Zemmgrund, Zillertal, Tirol, Austria
Size: 3.8 x 3 x 1.5 cm
Watch Video

An amethyst gwindel? Well, not really, but it sure looks like one!
The unusual crystal shape totally resembles a gwindel but it misses the characteristic twist. The quartz shows intensive purple color and is mostly transparent. The backside it is a shard of white quartz that is broken and completely re-healed. The amethyst itself is practically flawless with only microscopic edge-wear. Totally unique and catchy for its intensive color and the unusual shape!

ZL11 - Amethyst - SOLD
Fieschergletscher, Berner Alpen, Wallis, Switzerland
Size: 8.7 x 3.8 x 3.2 cm
Watch Video

What a stunning amethyst! The crystal has a bright purple color, which is very rare from any locales in the Alps. This piece comes from an old find made at the Fieschergletscher long time ago and is very typical for this locale. Some minor edgewear is present on the crystal, what you can also see on the attached video.

NL13 - Tourmaline - SOLD
Golconda Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size: 6.4 x 3.8 x 4.9 cm
Watch Video

This crystal has the deepest color saturation I have ever seen! Though, you do not need a very strong light to get this out! The crystal is of high quality, translucent, glassy and good luster! Some damge is present at the termination, why it is priced much lower! Luckily this is not good visible from the front if presented in an upper shelf of the showcase! A good addition for all enthusiastic collectors of tourmaline!

BS17 - Fluorite - SOLD
Gotthard tunnel, Switzerland
Size: 5.3 x 3.5 x 3.1 cm
Watch Video

This beautiful pink fluorite has a totally sharp and flawless pointed termination, a nice structured surface, is clear in the center and has the ancient aesthetics of a Egyptian pyramid. I strongly suggest you watch the video, to get a better impression of shape and quality! The color of the video is about right, with maybe lightly more red in nature. The bottom of this piece is contacted, which does not at all disturb its charming beauty. Very nice and also better visible in the video are the beautiful chlorite coating and the white matrix that provide a superb contrast and a nice Alpine character.

TN01 - Calcite - SOLD

This massy calcite crystal is a shiny marvel of incredible clarity. Absolutely flawless, this crystal is a jewel of fantastic luster with fine striation that reflects the light beautifully. The crystal sits on a matrix of exactly the right proportion, accompanied by many smaller calcite crystals. Most wonderful about this piece is the perfect clarity of the calcite, which allows a view right through it and right to the bottom, where again smaller crystals are visible. A small wonder in perfect quality!
