ST2 - Wulfenite - 2100€
Stefanie Mine, Bad Bleiberg, Bleiberg District, Gailtaler Alpen & Karnsiche Alpen, Carinthia, Austria
Size: 8.5 x 6.1 x 3.4 cm
Watch Video

This is clearly an excellent wulfenite specimen from the type locality Bad Bleiberg where wulfenite was first described in 1785. The quality is absolutely top! Highest luster, bright orange color and a rich display of uncountable thin tabular crystals. The wulfenite is all sharp and undamaged, sitting on pale yellow limestone. I am happy to present such a brilliant and extremely rare piece from the classic Austrian mining. A great chance for any collector of fine classic minerals!

WA61 - Adularia - 350€
Mörchnerkar, Zemmgrund, Zillertal, Tirol, Austria
Size: 7 x 6 x 3.1 cm
Watch Video

This is a classic piece of adularia or K-feldspar from Mörchnerkar, better known for its superb hematite and adularia specimens. The large main adularia sits on a matrix-like cluster of smaller crystals, encrusted with rust-red limonite. The adularia is translucent to even transparent and of fantastic luster at the front. Very attractive and practically a floater with only a small contact at the bottom.

FJ3 - Fluorite - 4500€
Camissinone Mine, Zogno, Brembana Valley, Bergamo Province, Lombardy, Italy
Size: 18.5 x 14.1 x 9.5 cm
Watch Video

This is a huge and simply incredible specimen from Zogno! Not only is it the impressive size or the combination of distinct cubical crystal shape and amorphous etches. What is totally striking here is the fantastic color that virtually explodes from this piece at direct backlight. Depending on the light-temperature the fluorite shines in a dark satiated purple at warm light or intensive blue at colder light. The whole cluster is in perfect condition and has no downsides. Absolutely brilliant and amazing!

TB4 - Hematite - 680€
Mörchnerkar, Zemmgrund, Zillertal, Tirol, Austria
Size: 3.5 x 3 x 1.9 cm
Watch Video

Unusual, almost botryoidal growth makes this iron rose specimen unique. The several hematite rosettes perched on this adularia matrix are exceedingly thick, yet lovely composed of hundreds of tiny hematite plates. The surface is sparkling in manyfold tempering colors. Very compact, delicate and perfectly developed. An exceptional specimen from Mörchnerkar, home of Austrias best hematite specimens.

WA56 - Gypsum - 35€
Höllgraben, Pfarrwerfen, Werfen, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 11.6 x 7.8 x 4.9 cm
Watch Video

Bright red gypsum with grey, contrasting schist matrix on all sides. The gypsum is gently washed out leaving a smooth surface between the sharp-edged schist. Overall this is a beautiful and catchy piece, a floater that is free of any damage and 360° appealing!

WA6 - Quartz - 140€
Foiskaarsee, Obersulzbachtal, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 6.7 x 5.1 x 3.3 cm
Watch Video

Neat, compact and overall attractive. Two main quartz crystals with a slight smoky hue protrude from a brown piece of matrix, accompanied by several quartz side-crystals. Aesthetics and outline are totally appealing in person and with no considerable damage in sight, this is a good choice for the locale and Alpine quartz in general.

AB35 - Quartz - 185€
Grimsel, Berner Oberland, Switzerland
Size: 9 x 5.8 x 4.2 cm
Watch Video

Right to the point: If you can live with an encrusted backside then this is a marvelous choice for a reasonable price. In fact the completely clear crystals with mirroring luster grant a unimpeded look at said backside, making for a unique and highly appealing view! The whole piece is flawless and a complete floater. Definitely a striking piece of exceptional beauty!

WA76 - Fluorite - 3400€
Steinbruch Rehrl, Vorderkrimml, Wald im Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 8.8 x 7.3 x 5.2 cm
Watch Video

It's the color! Straight away, if you are searching for an Alpine fluorite with fantastically bright blue color and great aesthetics, you are at the end of your quest. As newer finds in Krimml not nearly have the same quality it is truly hard to find a matching specimen. Especially the largest fluorite cube at the specimen's center is highly attractive, acting as a window to a unusually dark purple core that is very strong in yellow light but completely dissappears in white light. It's this color-change that makes fluorite from Krimml so special and famous! The whole piece is a floater and crystallized on all sides. There is no considerable damage, only a small contact that's not apparent at all. A piece of fantastic color and a rare chance for any Alpine collection!

RK428 - Quartz - 1250€
Erzwies, Gastein Valley, Hohe Tauern, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 22 x 10.6 x 7.5 cm
Watch Video

A very massy single quartz crystal of striking luster and a distinct Alpine characteristic. It is translucent to transparent, especially the lower body is very clear. The shiny surface shows many details, stepped growth, striation and corrugated faces. The bottom of this quartz is mainly rehealed and holds some matrix fragment, a piece of pericline with iron oxide coating. Overall this is a remarkable piece in person that impresses with high quality and massive size alike!

GM20 - Skeletal Quartz - 600€
Felbertal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 7.5 x 4.4 x 3.9 cm
Watch Video

A marvelous sculpturesque skeletal quartz, 360° etched and beautiful. The quartz is completely water-clear with thousands of sparkling faces and great structure. Finding any flaws here takes long and intensive search and results only in tiny chips at one or two spots. Almost invisible and definitely irrelevant on a striking piece like this. It's exceedingly hard to find these beautiful floater pieces from Felbertal so I am glad to present this bright and stunning specimen!
