A very big and clean Baveno twin coming from Val Curnera in Switzerland. With 10.1 cm in length this specimen has a remarkable size and it is very sharp all around. Except some very small edgewear, which is very hardly visible in person this speicmen is perfect all around.
Front- and backside are equally well developed, well balanced and focused on the freely protruding hematite rose. The rose with a sharp hexagonal outline sits on a matrix of white adularia and silver-grey muscovite, all nicely crystallized even at the bottom. The hematite itself shows great metallic luster and is in very good condition with only minor edgewear here and there. This piece is a rare gift from the Austrian Alps, attractive and rather impressive in size and quality!
The two vertical main crystals on this quartz specimen are accompanied by a third crystal, horizontally lying by their side. The bright shiny quality of the crystals paired with the unusual composition and flawless condition make this floater a unique specimen from Rauris. Some yellow iron oxide is characteristic for the locale and adds a beautiful effect. Distinctly 3-dimensional and attractive on all sides!
A single fishtail-twin titanite of light mossy green color, mostly translucent with some gemmy patches, especially at the tip. The crystal is sharp and lustrous with some chloritizations at the lower part, typical for the locale of Felbertal. The bottom where it dispatched from the matrix is recrystallized. The rest is complete and unharmed. A strinking single crystal of considerable size and remarkable quality!
A complete floater of adularia with decent chloritization especially at the backside. It shows no damage or even contacts all around and offers great quality with lustrous, transparent crystals. The most massive crystal is 2.7 cm broad, the longest one is an exact 5 cm long. An appealing cluster of adularia, perfect all around.
