Cruzeiro mine, São José da Safira, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size: 7.6 x 5.3 x 4.3 cm
Watch Video

Quality and aesthetics of this rubellite are absolutely stunning! The crystal shows most vivid raspberry-red color which is especially intensive at the flat termination, where the crystal is gemmy. The body of this specimen is evenly studded with lavender lepidolite and white cleavelandite which is just beautiful on such a vibrant, lustrous and thick crystal. There is virtually no damage here, even the backside is complete and similarly impressive. Highly attracitve specimen of great hand-size and unusually fine developed aesthetics!

SK40 - Sphalerite on Quartz - 1900€
Herja Mine, Chiuzbaia, Baia Mare, Maramureș Co., Romania
Size: 10.8 x 7.2 x 6.1 cm
Watch Video

Five elongated quartz crystals are fanning out like shiny white fingers. Especially the largest crystal is heavily supported by black sphalerite which provides the perfect contrast and spectacular aesthetics! The single quartz fingers are at closer inspection clusters of hundreds of small crystals which makes for a fantastically lovely surface. A sparkling, 3-dimensional sculpture that is perfect on all sides and rich in so many beautiful details!

SO98 - Stibnite on Barite - 650€
Cisma Mine, Băiuț, Maramureș Co., Romania
Size: 9.3 x 5.7 x 4.2 cm
Watch Video

The thick, blocky stibnite crystals on this specimen are quite characteristic for the Cisma Mine. Still, this classic old European piece has exceptionally fine aesthetics. The metallic black stibnite is gracefully arranged on a contrasting white barite matrix of perfect proportion. While the backside is somewhat contacted, the front is completely unharmed and nicely crystallized all over. Very 3-dimensional and statuesque!

XCT2 - Cerussite - 120€
Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Tsumeb, Namibia
Size: 7 x 5 x 3.1 cm
Watch Video

The characteristic "snowflake" pattern is well visible on this compact cerussite cluster. The piece is pure cerussite with no considerable matrix or association. The crystal itself seems clear at the inside but the surface is intensively structured and to the most parts obstructs the insight. Anyway, this is a nice example for Tsumeb cerussite without any damage to speak of.

PB145 - Pyrite - 1000€
Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Dos de Mayo Province, Peru
Size: 9.3 x 5.6 x 5.5 cm
Watch Video

Beautifully rounded crystals are forming a 3-dimensional sculpture of bright golden color. This unusual crystal shape is a transition of pyritohedron and octahedron which is quite rare even for Huanzala standard. The surface is mirror-bright and golden on all sides with nice striations. The whole piece is in excellent condition with only minor, insignificant issues. A perfectly aesthetic pyrite of highest quality!

Watch Video

This specimen is from a unique find from early 2009 and was depicted in the french mineral magazine "Le Règne Minéral" number 88, page 29 as a great example for the lot. It features a single aggregate of excellent blue-green euchroite, very much distinctive on a contrasting brown matrix. The aggregate is around 0.9 x 0.6 cm in size and shows nice luster. An outstanding piece from Farbište, not far from the type locality Svätodušná deposit.

Mibladen, Midelt, Khenifra Province, Morocco

A cluster of large hexagonal vanadinite crystals, up to 1.8 cm in diameter, on matrix. The vanadinite is lustrous and shows a dark cherry red color inside the translucent crystals cores. In parts there is a sand brown stain to the surface but thats fortunately mostly at the underside, the rest is bright and clean. About damage: there is none, even the backside is nicely studded with tiny vanadinite crystals. A rather large vanadinite cluster of great quality and sculpturesque shape!
