Size: 4.5 x 3.2 x 2.1 cm

The prominent main crystal on this titanite matrix piece is a staggering 2.2 cm long which is just incredibly large for the locale! It sits on a perfectly proportioned piece of matrix, nicely crystallized with small titanite and white calcite. The quality is as good as it gets: gemmy, sharp and with the fantastic cognac-color this locale is famous for. This is a highly aesthetic miniature titanite specimen of absolute world class quality as you can very well see in our video!

WZ19 - Azurite and Malachite - 1500€
St.Gertraudi, Bez.Kufstein, Nordtirol, Austria
Size: 10.5 x 6.6 x 3.8 cm

A number of spherical blue azurite crystals are scattered across this landscape of snow-white calcite. The already marvelous contrast is even improved by some green malachite at the right side of the specimen. Considering the classic locale, this is truly a unique piece of highest quality, as I rarely have seen it before. The azurite spheres - the largest of which has a diameter of 8 mm - are in perfect condition and show velvety blue color. In between these spheres you can see scalenohedral calcite crystals of differing size. Without question, this is a unique piece of superb aesthetics and quality!

WZ21 - Apatite - 2400€
In der Gunggl, Zemmgrund, Zillertal, Tyrol, Austria
Size: 7.3 x 6.6 x 6.6 cm

A roughly heart-shaped apatite of great quality sits on a 3-dimensional matrix, crystallized with pericline, mica, chlorite and smaller apatite. The piece has literally no downside as it is a complete floater. Especially the main crystal is impressive: It is largely transparent, lustrous and beautifully developed with characteristic bevelled edges. It has a damage at the lower right side but most of which is rehealed and not visible from the front anyway.
A remarkably beautiful Alpine apatite of great aesthetics from an uncommon locale!

XY25 - Smoky Quartz - 520€
Fibbia, Fontana, Central St. Gotthard Massif, Ticino, Switzerland
Size: 11 x 6 x 4.5 cm

A beautyful glassy smoky quartz crystal with very good luster all around. The bottom is nicely crystallized with no damage. The backside of the termination seems to have had a contact but which also is perfectly crystallized and flawless. One or two minor chips are hardly visible and not at all troubling on this overall beautiful and impressive specimen!

RK269 - Quartz - 220€
Greina pass area, Camadra Valley, Blenio Valley, Tessin, Switzerland
Size: 7.1 x 5.8 x 3.8 cm

A beautiful near-perfect doubly terminated quartz crystal of best quality! It shows brilliant luster on all sides, a beautiful structure and some nice inclusions that make this piece even more interesting. While you see a pointed termination at the top the bottom is much more irregular but completely crystallized all the same. This is a highly appealing quartz specimen from the uncommon locale Greina Pass as you can very well see in our video!

KI15 - Schorl - 480€
Gamsmutter, Habachtal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 6.2 x 5.4 x 2.5 cm

Alpine tourmaline is a rare thing to have especially if it is supposed to be attractive!
While most significant classic schorl specimen are from Lohning quarry in Rauris Valley, this rather large and impressive piece was found at the Habach Valley. It is a sparkling composition of thin, jet black tourmaline needles all showing best luster. Some peripheral regions are damaged but front and backside are equally beautiful and in great condition. The backside has some additional chlorite and white albite. All in all this is an outstanding specimen of Alpine schorl!

PA21 - Quartz with Adularia - 1400€
Brand, Felbertal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 11.8 x 7.5 x 4 cm

The quality of this phantom quartz is just amazing!
It's as if the chlorite and rock that's visible inside lies just below the surface of a steady pool of water, all quiet and mesmerizing. At some spots the chlorite breaks through the surface which makes this piece even more lively. As a floater this piece is perfect all around while the luster is admittedly less good at the backside. Some snow-white adularia adds a great visual effect to this overall just beautiful specimen of Felbertal quartz!

WZ38 - Smoky Quartz - 2600€
Val Giuv, Tujetsch, Vorderrhein Valley, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 9.9 x 5 x 4.5 cm

The center of attention is a prominent single smoky quartz crystal of finest quality! Warm color throughout the whole gemmy clear crystal, sharp edges and no flaws at all. It is distinctly right-handed (as is the smaller side crystal) and shows a beginning termination at the bottom, where it then merges into a flat matrix of adularia, small smoky quartz and even epidote and some byssolite. Very attractive and highly aesthetic as the main crystal is incredibly dominant here and fully lives up to his role. Have a look on our video for a better 3-dimensional look!

XY7 - Skeletal Quartz - 140€
Cavradi, Val Curnera, Tujetsch, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 5.8 x 3.5 x 3.3 cm

For understanding this quartz sculpture you definitely have to watch our video. It is a 360° perfect floater composed of countless little crystals clustered and stacked upon each other to shape this unusual piece. The quartz is water-clear though the many faces make this specimen obscure. Unusual and pretty, from the famous Cavradi gorge!

PW6 - Amethyst - 3500€
Zirknitz, Goldberg group, Hohe Tauern, Carinthia, Austria
Size: 12.6 x 9.1 x 5.5 cm

Let's get to the drawback right away: This amethyst specimen is damaged at the tip and one of the side-terminations. Now that that's said, this piece is absolutely fantastic from one of the very best Alpine amethyst finds of all time! Hardly ever have I seen such incredibly strong color on a large and massive Alpine amethyst specimen like this, paired with wet-look luster and beautiful stacked crystallization. Most sections at the back are crudely crystallized but damage is scarce and anyway, the main view is just stunning and a real eye-catcher! Rare and outstanding Alpine amethyst of great size and exceptional quality!

CT1 - Quartz Gwindel - 1100€
Val Gronda da Cavrein, Vorderrheintal, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 6.6 x 5.5 x 3 cm
Watch Video

The unique aesthetics of this piece largely speaks for itself! A single high quality left-handed quartz crystal brotherly sits beside an equally glassy gwindel on a perfectly proportioned piece of rock matrix. The crystals show best luster and a lovely surface structure. Minimal edgewear is present but not eminent on this impressive piece. Unusually well composed and beautiful on 360° as you can easily see in our video!

PT8 - Quartz Sceptre - 500€
Saurüssel, Zemmgrund, Zillertaler Alpen, Nordtirol, Austria
Size: 11.8 x 9.1 x 4.5 cm
Watch Video

This is a piece of pure natural aesthetics that can only develop its full beauty in person! Lovely sceptre amethysts along other quartz crystals are grown on a bed of cream-colored albite, dark green chlorite and gneis matrix. The longest, most distinct sceptre amethyst is 2.5 cm long, the most voluminous crystal is around 1.5 cm thick, all without damage!
While this piece is not for the collector of textbook composed specimens or crystal fetishists, it sure is a rewarding and exceptional specimen for the collector of Alpine beauties!
