AT28 - Smoky Quartz - Sold
Val Strem, Tujetsch, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 7.1 x 6.3 x 3.4 cm

One main quartz crystal dominantly sticks out of a feldspar and quartz matrix which creates a very catchy outline. The crystal is lustrous, beautifully structured and water-clear. You really have to look closely to find some tiny wear here. The matrix as well as the larger side-crystal are contacted at the back and the sides, but if you can live with that this is a very good piece with an imposing main crystal of good quality for a low price!

AF50 - Adularia - Sold
Stgegia Alp, Medel Valley, Grischun, Switzerland
Size: 6.1 x 4.3 x 3.6 cm

A nice, massy adularia crystal on matrix with just the right proportion. The crystal shows the typical rainbow-colored sheen and is lustrous, especially on the front faces. There is some edgewear here and there but no acutal damage. Even the bottom of the matrix is nicely crystallized and offers a worthy base for this fine single adularia crystal.

The dominant main quartz crystal dramatically protrudes from this fine piece that is an almost perfect arrangement of quartz and pericline. There is no damage at all here, just some insignificant contacts at the back. The quality of the quartz is amazing and allows a view right into its core where green chlorite completes the picture. A great piece of fine aesthetics!

Elongated, shaped like an Egyptian obelisk, this typical baveno law twin adularia is nicely aesthetic with sparkling hematite at the surface. The termination as well as the rest of this classy crystal is in perfect condition. A worth noting piece with its own distinct character.

Knappenwand, Untersulzbachtal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 6.8 x 2.7 x 1.7 cm

As you know, epidote is a very fragile mineral. Most specimens are repaired and so is this one. But aside of this one repair this beautiful epidote cluster is in superb condition with virtually all of the smaller clystals intact. It is very much 3-dimensional with some byssolite here and there. A remarkably aesthetic mineral specimen of high quality, good general condition and a dramatic visual impact.

RK195 - Magnetite - Sold
Amertal, Felbertal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 1.3 x 1.2 x 1.2 cm

This magnetite specimen is out of the famous cleft found by Josef Papp in 2009. The rhombic dodecahedral shape is unique for this Alpine cleft and a true sensation. This single crystal - a perfect floater - is 1.5 cm in diameter, sharp and of typical metallic luster. It is a flawless and remarkable piece all around and a real Alpine rarity.

RK192 - Apatite - Sold
Winterstock, Göschenertal, Switzerland
Size: 3.4 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm

An unusually elongated, prismatic apatite crystal of pink color. Despite its smaller size this spezimen is something very special: Rarely have I seen that crystal shape on an Alpine apatite. It has mirroring luster and is totally limpid with a perfect termination. A treasure for any collector of exceptional minerals!

This nicely composed specimen is from one of the largest ruby depostit in the world near the village of Ali Abad. The pinkish-red ruby is translucent and shows a very intensive color. It sits well centred on a white calcite matrix that provides a striking contrast. The crystal is flawless with elongated prismatic shape and very good luster.

A collection of six cuprite crystals with malachite coating from the classic locale of Chessy-les-Mines in France. The size varies from 0.8 cm to 1.2 cm on edge. Like small crystal form models these specimens show different shapes: Three crystals are perfectly octahedral, one is a perfect example for a rhombic dodecahedron, the other two are hybrid forms. All crystals are in very good condition without any damage. Coming out of an old collection (see the old label!) these specimens are an excellent choice for every collector of classic european minerals!

TN45 - Fluorite and Quartz - Sold
Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province, China
Size: 4.5 x 4.1 x 3 cm

This weirdly looks like a TV-set showing a picture of another TV-set. A colorless transparent fluorite with intense purple edges has been overgrown with a second generation of fluorite of the same coloring and around 2.8 cm on edge. Across this lustrous fluorite-screen lies a doubly terminated white quartz crystal. At the backside of this specimen you see one interesting aspect as the smaller first generation fluorite has not been fully covered. I invite you to watch the video to have a look on this yourself! The whole specimen is free of damage with some contact at the bottom but nothing serious. A piece of pure aesthetics with great contrast and color!

FA52 - Pyromorphite - Sold
Guilin Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China
Size: 9.4 x 8.3 x 2.6 cm

The fresh apple-green color of this specimen is characteristic for Guilin Prefecture in China, an important pyromorphite source. The triangular shape is fully covered in hundreds of pyromorphite crystals of around 1 cm in length. The sides are contacted and there are two or three rehealed crystals, but the overall condition of this fine piece is very good with mainly just flawless, well terminated green crystals.
