However you look at this magnificent specimen, it is dominated by the sharp, thick, metallic blocks of hematite! There are a rich number of them, all in fantastic shape and condition. Those bright hematites are studded with small but fire red rutile crystals which is characteristic for Cavradi although they are particularly abundant on this specimen! The hematite cluster is set on a small piece of matrix with accompanying clear quartz. Just enough to have some diversion without diluting the importance of the hematite! A jewel of uttermost perfection!

An absolutely gorgeous large cabinet sized white quartz specimen from Val Cavrein! It features one stocky, very well developed main crystal on a lovely floater cluster of interlocked quartz. The quality is totally pristine and without even the smallest abrasions, contacts or damage. The underside is completely crystallized! The main crystal has an internal crack which doesn’t reach the surface but nicely refelcts the light in a silvery way. The first picture was taken in the morning sun which magnifies the elegant and marvelous quartz!

This specimen is highly appealing not only because of the well crystallized pyrite aggregate that really has no damage anywhere around, but also because of the very well balanced piece of matrix with chlorite that supports the main pyrite. Nice rust brown iron oxide patina and good luster makes this a charming Alpine pyrite. The matrix is a mix of feldspar and chlorite and is crystallized on all sides including the bottom. Absolutely stunning aesthetics on this classic specimen!

This quartz shows best wet-look luster all around, it is glassy, sharp and flawless. A smaller side crystals adds much to the overall aesthetics! At the base, especially on the backside where there is a contacted zone, you can find some rutile in a sagenite grid. As you look closer on that rutile you will discover individual needles not only near the bottom but also further up along the surface. A lovely detail on this already stunning specimen!

The single 2.2 cm titanite twin on this super aesthetic specimen has top-notch quality! It is gemmy and sharp and with brilliant luster. The color is a beautiful warm amber brown which is characteristic for Kristallwand. The crystal is set on a lovely crystallized matrix with feldspar and titanite micro-crystals which strongly emphasizes the main titanite. It's a breathtaking specimen for sure and in very good condition. One small chip at the tip is not visible from the front, the rest is flawless.

The way this quartz has developed is amazing and totally unique. As you can see in our video this is only a thin shard, fully transparent and highly lustrous on both sides. One side is shaped like a flat bowl, showing an inward curve constructed from countless shiny crystal faces. The other side is different, it has two flat faces that are arranged at a distinctive 40° angle. But regardless of the apparently complex history of this specimen (did it originally split off a larger crystal?) this is an unusuall and very attractive specimen in near flawless condition and of best quality!

Highest crystal quality, striking aesthetics and perfect condition all come together on this breathtaking smoky quartz! The specimen is a perfect floater, completely crystallized at the bottom. Main crystal and side crystal are both sharp and flawless. With a loupe you can see that the tips are slightly rough but not damaged.
Dark brown color, wonderful luster and great clarity with only some internal cracks towards the termination but nothing that reaches the surface. The aesthetics is really just ideal with a dominant main crystal and a smaller supporting side crystal.

This exceptional and formidable smoky quartz specimen unites three gwindels on one piece which is something I honestly haven’t seen before! All three gwindels are of very similar shape, size and quality and are arranged among other smoky quartz crystals to compose this unique specimen. The quartz is transparent with a nice smoky color. The surface is lustrous, well structured and has hardly any abrasions at all. The bottom is not broken but fully crystallized with small quartz and even some feldspar. This is certainly a unique specimen of exceptional beauty and mineralogical importance!

A single quartz crystal, clear like an icicle and sharp like glass! The flattened tessing habit crystal shows really just amazing quality with best wet-look luster on front and backside as well. It is associated with a cluster of schist matrix covered in quartz. The main crystal has a small damage at the lower backside but apart from that it is flawless right up to the sharp chisel-tip termination!
