A sparkling fireworks of highest quality quartz, artfully arranged on this fabulous floater specimen. The piece is 99% perfect with only one small chip that is virtually invisible on this sweeping and brilliant specimen. Absolutely spectacular aesthetics and quality! Ex Wolfgang Vötter collection
Apatite, titanite and adularia are all individually situated on a beautiful natural piece of matrix. The glassy apatite aggregate is the focus of the left half. It is highly lustrous and completely flawless with a diameter of 1.2 cm. The right edge of the specimen is dominated by a well shaped adularia with some chloritization. Closer to the center you can see the single titanite crystal, 1.9 cm long and perfect as well. It nicely contrasts against the white and grey matrix and is prominently set right on the upper ridge.
The aesthetics of this specimen is amazingly beautiful: Single isolated crystals of best quality and condition on a highly detailed crystallized matrix!
It's a highly attractive pyrite specimen from the Ankogel group. The pyrite aggregate is set on a towering matrix which is a mix of white feldspar and silvery chlorite. The piece has no damage and is beautiful all around as you can see on our pictures!
It's a completely flawless single quartz that is crystallized even at the bottom! The whole specimen has a very glassy look to it with brilliant wet-look luster over a very nicely structured surface. The interior is limpid, especially in the middle section. The termination is kind of corroded, possibly contacted, but all natural and not damaged. A wonderful crystal with a unique character!
Two interlocked lustrous iron rose aggreagates are set on a three-dimensional silvery mica matrix. Both are in marvelous condition and very detailed on all sides. On the backside there is another, smaller hematite with tiny rutile needles atop. It's a lovely specimen all over that shows best quality and a very nice aesthetics!
This is a perfect and flawless thumbnail specimen of very fine leaf green titanite. A 2.5 cm main crystal is accompanied by two side-crystals, both around 1.5 cm long. There is some intergrown chlorite which adds Alpine character without being too obtrusive. A lovely specimen in best condition and with highly appealing aesthetics!
A classic epidote specimen from the worlds best locale for the mineral: Knappenwand! The largest crystal of the piece is a little over 1 cm thick and 5 cm long. It has brilliant luster and a sharp termination with some rough corners but no damage. Combined with several other crystals it is grown out from a compact cluster of epidote and byssolite that is naturally developed all around with no breaks or contacts. The backside shows a small apatite crystal, very characteristic for the locale. The condition is near-perfect with only some damage at the smallest of side-crystals. Definitely one of the finer specimens of epidote with its very own elegant character!
One single smoky quartz crystal of dark brown color stands out from a piece of characteristic Habach Valley schist matrix. It is around 4 x 1.8 x 1.3 cm large and flawless. The crystal is accompanied by several smaller side-crystals of matching quality. Still, the main crystal is the unmistakable center of this specimen and dramatically draws the attention to it! This highly aesthetic specimen is from the famous find from around 1993 by Alois Steiner and Reinhard Heim, the latter of whom just recently sold the piece to us from his private collection! A unique and most attractive piece from this locale!
A fantastic combination of a large, water clear skeletal quartz on a snow white adularia matrix. The whole thing is a floater and undamaged all around. I actually find both the front and the back absolutely beautiful, with a different character but matching quality. The quartz is all perfect, nicely skeletallized and shows some, but very little, chlorite. The adularia is sharp, translucent white and also associated with chlorite. Between the gaps you will also find some minimal green titanite which even more emphasizes the Alpine character of this exceptional piece. Best quality meets unbeatable, unique aesthetics!
Quality and shape of this brilliant little specimen are utterly stunning in person! The Perfectly developed sceptre head shows intensive purple color, it is glassy, sharp and flawless! The elongated colorless stem is equally perfect and has some small attachements of mica at the bottom which adds even more to the already stunning aesthetics. Small but absolutely gorgeous in person!
Pericline from this locale are Austrian classics that characteristically show well defined crystals with porcelaine-like appearance. This richly crowded specimen is a destintly three-dimensional shape with very nice and lustrous iron-stained crystals, chaotically arranged like colliding ice floes and with some smaller quartz in between.
The piece was found around 1975 and comes with an old label.
A rare combination of high quality titanite with adularia, chlorite and black schorl that comes as a complete floater and in exclusive aesthetics! The titanite is gemmy and brightly green. The matrix is a cluster of well developed adularia, partly encrusted with sparkling metallic green chlorite. Along the right periphery you can find black needles of schorl which is very rare from the Alps and in this attractive combination! Overall this is a brilliant paragenesis in very good condition and gorgeous aesthetics!
