The sheer amount of top-quality augelite on this important piece is just amazing! Augelite of this brilliance has only been found at the Mundo Nuevo Mine in Peru, but such a richly loaded piece is rare and dramatic even for that standard. The single isolated augelite crystals reach a size of around 1.3 cm and are embedded in a sparkling white matrix of glassy and gemmy colorless quartz. This is definitely a premium piece of exceptional quality, best condition and outstanding size!
This elegant silver sepcimen is an important and rather large example for the 2014 find at the Andaychagua Mine. A single "herringbone" aggregate plate rises from a spacial white calcite matrix. The silver is very thin and fragile yet in perfect condition and incredibly beautiful. Depending on the light the silvery-grey color shows a vivid sheen all around and draws attention to itself. A high class silver specimen from this new Peruvian locale.
Hardly ever do you see specimens of such perfect textbook aesthetics! A "V"-shape of quartz covered white barite presents a play of purple fluorite cubes and short prismatic transparent quartz. Like the barite, the fluorite is completely covered in sparkling quartz which adds a just lovely effect. The backside is all complete and flawless with only a small contact at the bottom, where it detached from the rock. A pristine piece of exceptional aesthetics that is free of even the slightest damage. Absolutely amazing!
A beautyful glassy smoky quartz crystal with very good luster all around. The bottom is nicely crystallized with no damage. The backside of the termination seems to have had a contact but which also is perfectly crystallized and flawless. One or two minor chips are hardly visible and not at all troubling on this overall beautiful and impressive specimen!
Quite unusual and of great quality, this is a brilliant aquamarine specimen from Xuebaoding Mountain. A cluster of tabular hexagonal crystals with associated muscovite and schorl. The aquamarine is gemmy and superbly lustrous with nicely beveled corners. Being a floater specimen it is particularly 3-dimensional and beautiful on all sides. There is no damage present anywhere here. Our video shows a fantastic look on this remarkable specimen.
The shape of this datolite/quartz combination is extremely rare and in an untamed and chaotic way very aesthetic! A rather large pastel green and lustrous datolite crystal, 5.2 cm across, sits amid a "V" shaped array of unusual quartz crystals. The weird quartz shape that gives the impression of shifted layers results from intergrown calcite that dissolved later on. The whole piece is in exceptional condition and shows a number of smaller datolite crystals on all sides. Dal'negorsk is known as the worlds best locality for specimen-quality datolite which is clear when you see this fantastic and utterly unique specimen!
Like a waterdrop, splashing on solid rock, frozen in time. This hyalite is absolutely water-clear, highly lustrous and simply beautiful. It is perched on a piece of matrix of just the right proportion and good contrast. The opal is complete all around and without any damage. An incredibly aesthetic example for the recent Opal finds near the town of Tarcal in Hungary. Unusual, dashy and lovely in person!
A single, absolutely brilliant fluorite cube of lovely quality and color sits on a decent muscovite covered matrix. The crystal is of light blue color with a distinct purple phantom. It is in near perfect condition with only very minor edgwear at one of the edges. I love this very clear picture of one single isolated, well developed crystal on matrix. Highly aesthetic and elegant in person!
A striking and well balanced arrangement of tabular hematite, gemmy red rutile and brilliant colorless quartz on matrix. Main aspect here is certainly the massy 3.3 cm hematite "wheel" with its mirroring luster and the perfect outline. Sitting on it are fire red rutile crystals. While one of the hematite side-crystals is damaged, the main crystal is totally unharmed with only a contact at the bottom. The quartz shows the characteristic Cavradi-quality: lustrous, water-clear and with beautiful surface structure. This is a very 3-dimensional piece of classic Alpine aesthetics, a rare composition and a real stunner!
Elba Island is one of the great classical localities of Europe and has produce a great many different minerals over the centuries. While, as type locality of elbaite, Elba is primarily known for fine tourmaline specimens, many other great mineral specimens have been unearthed there.
This is an exceptionally aesthetic example for a high class hematite specimen with white contrasting quartz needles at the periphery. The hematite comes in metallic black, blocky and sharp crystals, beautifully arranged like a bouquet of flowers. The condition is flawless, aesthetics and quality speak for themselves. A brilliant little specimen from Elba Island!
A single smoky quartz that's pracitcally flawless with a completely crystallized base and only a minimal Wilbur at the tip. The crystal is clear with intensive smoky color and very good luster on all sides. The termination shows some chlorite but is still lustrous and at least partly transparent. Two smaller side crystals are attached to the crystals backside. This is a dominant smoky quartz specimen of good quality and no downsides!
Exceptionally aesthetic and well balanced this Peruvian paragenesis is absolutely outstanding with appealing contrast, color and outline. The lustrous golden surface of the rather large cubical pyrite, up to over 4 cm on edge, is partly covered in black sphalerite which makes for a charming visual effect. The pyrite is accompanied by rounded chalcopyrite, shimmering in a greenish yellow color that adds much to the overall aesthetics of this piece. Small white calcite perfects the picture. The backside is contacted but there is no considerable damage here. A brilliant combination piece that knows to impress!
