RT5 - Quartz - 490€
Rauris, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 13 x 6 x 5.5 cm
Watch Video

It's a completely flawless single quartz that is crystallized even at the bottom! The whole specimen has a very glassy look to it with brilliant wet-look luster over a very nicely structured surface. The interior is limpid, especially in the middle section. The termination is kind of corroded, possibly contacted, but all natural and not damaged. A wonderful crystal with a unique character!

FS178 - Quartz - 2850€
Grimselpass, Hasli Valley, Berner Oberland, Switzerland
Size: 11.2 x 8 x 10 cm
Watch Video

It's a gorgeous exemplar of bright golden quartz in best condition and magnificent aesthetics! The 3.5 cm thick main crystal prominently protrudes from a composition of smaller side-crystals. All quartz crystals are glassy, sharp, lustrous and of intensive golden color that originates from a thin coating of iron oxide that fades towards the terminations. The main crystal has a small amount of chloritization at the termination but not much and not distracting. The color is surely the most unusual feature of this specimen but high quality, textbook composition and near perfect condition are really elevating it to a piece of art!

HQ053 - Fluorite - 3500€
Weißeck, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 15.4 x 12.3 x 6.2 cm
Watch Video

The largest one of these modified cubical fluorite crystals is 7.3 cm in diameter and, like the rest, in outstanding condition! This terrific fluorite was found at the so called "Gipfelkluft" (=summit cleft) which produced some of the best specimens of this whole area! The fluorite is a spectacular mix of green and purple zones as you can easily see with some backlight illumination. And it doesn't need much! A little sunlight or some artificial light (LED, halogen, etc.) is sufficient to have this crystal shine in all kinds of colors from purple to green and blue and everything in between, depending on the light source. We tried to capture that with the camera but the different versions don't really do it justice as the camera is just never as good as the human eye! Always better in nature, trust me on this one! When turning it around you will find that the whole backside is crystallized and with very minimal damage. The front is completely flawless and shows a beautiful array of stacked fluorite cubes. Totally stunning for its striking aesthetics, the sheer size and of course the impressive colorplay!

GS05 - Smoky Quartz Gwindel - 890€
Mont Blanc Massif, Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France

Watch Video

A single crystal smoky quartz gwindel with not the smalles chip or abrasion anywhere. The gwindel rather typical in shape with a good 20° twist. Some chloritization is present on all faces but still the crystal maintains a certain amount of luster and clarity - also the interior is free of inclusions or cracks. The bottom, where it detached from the matrix, is re-crystallized and perfect. A nice single crystal specimen from the French Alps!

KO232 - Skeletal Quartz - 1900€
Forsterbachtal, Rauris, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 10.2 x 5 x 5 cm
Watch Video

The 3-dimensional sculpturesque design of this skeletal quartz specimen is absolutely unique and immensely appealing! Right at this point I'd like to suggest a look on our video for a better impression. It is simply impossible to show this kind of unusual shape on mere pictures! The sculpture is made from water-clear quartz with some frosted, some brilliantly lustrous faces. At some parts you can find white adularia as well as greenish chlorite which adds some variety to his otherwise pristine and colorless specimen. A wonderful example of fine nature's art!

BQ934 - Amethyst - 1300€
Mörchnerkar, Zemmgrund, Zillertaler Alpen, Tyrol, Austria
Size: 12 x 8.4 x 6.9 cm
Watch Video

If you can appreciate the untamed beauty of irregularly grown natural crystal specimens then I invite you to have a look on our video! Yes, it is crystallized all around and the purple color is strong, especially towards the termination. The whole specimen is pure quartz, mostly transparent through and through. Grown into the side there is a rough and opaque part with small amethyst sceptres atop. When looking closely you will also find tiny iron roses which is characteristic for the locale. The overall condition is very good with only very small issues that are even hard to see on a rich and absorbing piece like this!

AF149 - Smoky Quartz - 800€
Hochalpl, Untersulzbachtal, Hohe Tauern, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 10.1 x 7.5 x 4.5 cm
Watch Video

Smoky quartz is exceedingly hard to get from the Austrian Alps so this nice group is for sure something special! The crystals show very good clarity and luster with some chloritization at the pyramidal terminations. The larger crystal is chipped at the termination but which is hardly visible from the front. The rest of the piece is in best condition with even the bottom being crystallized! A great piece for this region! Finder: Anton Paluc.
