Around 45 years back the La Farola Mine produced distinctive and beautiful atacamite, arranged as fully developed 360° stars flat on matrix. What we have here is a rich example of that early mining period. The flat piece is almost fully covered in sparkling, transparent crystals, radiating in vibrant dark green. The backside is encrusted with green chrysocolla. Aside from some peripheral issues this piece is in very good condition and shows its beauty especially at closer view. A mighty aegirine specimen from the early mining period in Malawi, where first considerable aegirine crystals have been found 25 years back. Several elongated crystals up to over 15 cm long are stacked together, decorated with smaller quartz, orthoclase and microcline to form this impressive and highly attractive piece. I have hardly seen any comparable pieces save for those at the collection of the natural history museum Milan. The crystals are sharp and lustrous and are free of any damage. A spray of thick metallic stibnite crystals shapes this distinctive Chinese specimen. The crystals here, as is typical for the find, are well terminated and up to over one centimeter thick. The striated surfaces shows tempering colors and very good luster all around. The whole piece is very much 3-dimensional and in good shape. One broken crystal at the back is not visible from the front. Very attractive in person, distinctive and catchy!

A well defined, sharp fluorite cube with absolutely striking purple and green phantoms inside the otherwise glassy crystal. The cube is lustrous on all sides and free of any considerable damage. The interior is quite fascinating as is characteristic for the Okorusu Mine. A purple cubic phantom holds another green phantom inside. The innermost part of the crystal is held by some tufted matrix. This main fluorite sits on a cluster of smaller fluorite crystals, accompanied by several white quartz prisms. Very aesthetic and typical for the locale.
