A brilliant brasilianite from the type locality Corrego Frio. This is a single floater crystal, all sharp and gemmy. The color is very strong, a charming golden yellow. Turning it around in my hands I find the luster brilliant at the terminal faces, while the main faces are slightly frosted but still fine and with a beautiful structure. A great golden jewel, very elegant and free of any damage!

SS15 - Quartz - Sold
Cavradi, Val Curnera, Tujetsch, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 9.5 x 7.4 x 6.2 cm

A very well balanced matrix-piece of utter brilliance that impresses with superb luster and best crystal quality as is typical for Cavradi quartz. The composition of water-clear quartz on harmonious grey matrix is absolutely awesome and classic. The main crystal, vertically protruding from this fine piece, is 5.7 cm long, perfect all around and elegant. The backside of the matrix is cut but the impressive main view offers a distinctly natural appeal with many side-crystals of matching quality. A brilliant piece in person!

While at first glance this piece might not be as impressive as some others we presented so far, this specimen is absolutely awesome if you take the time for a closer look. The surface of this matrix-piece is covered in a composition of hundreds of smaller quartz crystals of sparkling quality and anatase of highest quality. With a length of up to 6 mm and a rare honey-yellow color the anatase crystals are just outstanding and splendid, considering the locale. This is practically a must for every collector of rare Alpine treasures.

This whole piece looks a bit rough with inclusions, contacts and growth irregularities. But then there is so much to see and appreciate! Especially the upper part is highly lustrous, clear and sharply terminated (with a very small ding). At the inside you see colorful inclusions from grey to orange, yellow and red. As you can see in our video, this is a great piece to look at with vibrant inner life and great luster!

WK13 - Aragonite - Sold
Laurion, Greece
Size: 12.4 x 11.4 x 8.5 cm

A 3-dimensional snowflake of light water-blue aragonite, all marvelous and striking. At some patches you find a second generation of fragile white aragonite grown on the slender, long prismatic main crystals. Aside one small contact at the bottom this speicmen is fully crystallized in virtually perfect condition. Very attractive and exceptionally well shaped with unusually sharp and robust crystals for the locale.

HW18 - Quartz - Sold

Incredible luster, unusual composition and a nice purple color make this a brilliantly beautiful piece. The main body of this quartz is white and opaque but crystal terminations on all sides - even at the bottom - are clear, filled with color and show so called "windows" on the crystal faces. There is some minor edge wear present but all in all this is a piece of very good quality that is practically a floater.

XY36 - Smoky Quartz with Adularia - Sold

This piece is absolutely fantastic and to the point when it comes to a perfect composition. One single smoky quartz crystal of exceptional quality holds a white adularia crystal like an arm in front of its body. A striking piece of pure aesthetics that has no obvious downsides. The bottom is crystallized with small white adularia spread across the surface. While there are some contacts at the bottom and backside the whole piece is free of damage. A great piece of highest quality!

This sharp titanite is out of a spectacular new find from this spring. This specimen is a more or less complete floater that is crystallized on all sides and has only few damage, mainly at the bottom. The surface is lustrous and to a certain part transparent. Besides internal cracks and inclusions, there are brilliant patches of appealing mossy green color. All in all this is a great piece with the typicall character of the already famous find of exceptionally large and impressive titanite at Schwemmhäuslbruch in Austria.

Wow, this is a spectacular piece in person! A single tessin-habit quartz of just water clear quality, superb luster and incredibly beautiful surface structure. Elegant and eye-catching. The crystal has a smoky hue but not too dark. It sits on a small piece of matrix that is over and over encrusted in gemmy adularia, muscovite and quartz. This is a complete floater that is, save for some minuscule edgewear, free of any damage. A high class Alpine quartz, outstanding and beautiful!

Majestic and impressive, this rather large quartz crystal stands out and enchants the viewer with highest Cavradi-quality and timeless elegance. To perceive the full beauty of this crystal I strongly suggest you watch the video as a 360° view is surely necessary here. The crystal body is water-clear but with some appealing inclusions, the hint of a phantom. It is completely flawless and shows a beautiful surface structure. The small side crystal of matching quality perfects the textbook aesthetics of this specimen. A fantastic quartz specimen that has everything you could wish for on a classic piece like this!

When searching for Swiss amethyst specimens mindat.org shows me exactly 10 pictures. A sign for the sheer rareness of this mineral in Switzerland, as most Alpine amethyst comes from Austria. This scepter amethyst is out of the famous find at Fieschergletscher, made by Kaspar Fahner. The intense purple color is unique for this locale and absolutely fabulous. This cluster of colorless quartz and amethyst is appealingly aesthetic with a distinctive outline and good color contrast. An incredibly rare piece and utterly beautiful!

FJ31 - Aquamarine on Feldspar with Muscovite - Sold

Wow, what a stunner! A single aquamarine crystal of intensive blue color protrudes from a beautifully contrasting matrix of dark muscovite and white feldspar. The aqua shows perfect mirrorinig luster and is completely gemmy through and through with only some very thin internal cracks. Most striking about this crystal is the termination. Unlike many aquamarine crystals with flat terminations, this one is highly modified and shows a charming frosted zone along the slanted adges. Many terminal faces and sharp edges on a completely transparent crystal, make this an absolutely astonishing specimen. No damage. No downsides.
