This anatase shows a perfect and flawless pointed tip, as is rare at this species. The doubly terminated crystal is almost black but shows a slight blue shimmer when illuminated directly. It is accompanied by some quartz and sits perfectly on a grey and rust-brown matrix. A marvelous and perfect piece with a mysterious character in person.
This piece is outstanding in any respect. Two marvelous amethyst sceptres are combined a this piece with a number of side-crystals. The whole piece is free of any damage, is a floater and is just amazingly rich in details. Perfect purple scepter-heads are in dramatic contrast to green chlorite and yellow and red rutile needles. The faces of the bigger sceptre show windows between perfectly sharp edges. Nothing more to say, this piece is perfect!
The superb aesthetics of this wonderful piece is simply outstanding. The 1.5 cm main crystal is of a deep red color, is totally clear and in perfectly unharmed condition. Sitting on a snow-white quartz-matrix of perfect proportion accompanied by a couple of gemmy clear quartz crystals this brookite specimen is a uniquely beautiful marvel. Perfect on all sides and impressive in person!
This apatite crystal from the Colconda Mine especially impresses with a deep purple color and a blue core that is to be revealed when backlit. The surface shows a fine striation and very good luster. The backside is contacted but not broken. While there is some minor damage present, the general condition is good and absolutely acceptable, considering the pretty coloring and the nice composition of two crystals that are grown together to one fine specimen of color intensive apatite.
The combination of pink, orange and yellow on this marvelous piece is simply beautiful. The single tourmaline crystal shows a perfect modified termination that is free of any damage, just like the rest of this fine piece. The accompanying side-crystals, connected to the main-tourmaline by a matrix of mica, very much perfect the picture of pure textbook aesthetics. A piece of unique charm in perfect condition.
This quartz specimen is utterly unique for its dramatic cross shape. A doubly terminated quartz horizontally lies across a vertical quartz of equal shape and quality. The surface of both main crystals is highly structured and beautiful. All over this specimen you find smaller quartz as well as some white feldspar at the bottom. Rarely have I seen a quartz specimen of such distinctive character with so many details to be discovered.
The largest pericline crystal here is 3.5 cm long and looks like carved from porcelain. It is set atop a cluster of evenly nice pericline and lustrous, colorless quartz crystals. Except for some peripheral contacts there are no issues here, even the bottom is fully crystallized.
The Tormiq Valley contains many occurrences of Alpine-type mineralized clefts. One of the specialties of Tormiq Valley are lustrous and sharp apatite and fluorapatite. This very specimen is a major example of cream-yellow apatite that is remarkably massy and of high quality. An aggregate of intergrown apatite and practically a floater with no contacts or breaks, crystallized all over. The apatite is translucent to transparent, showing a lustrous and nicely structured surface with only some smaller patches of chlorite distributed about the periphery. Definitely an important piece for the locale!
This is a classic piece for Naica, with the characteristic modified, beveled cubical crystals on a contrasting black sphalerite matrix and some chalcopyrite at the backside. The crystals are nicely stacked upon each other with increasing diameter to the top. The color is pale inside the transparent crystals, yet shows a surprising change from a green tinge - visible closer to the matrix - to a light purple. Condition is well with only some very minor issues, nothing to worry about. A cluster of amazing aesthetics and high quality!
This wulfenite specimen is from a younger find a couple of years ago. The crystals are loosely distributed about the red-brown matrix which gives this a very special appearance. The somehow blocky, almost cubical wulfenite crystals are honey-colored, translucent and in excellent condition. In between the wulfenite there is some green mimetite. A beautiful 3-dimensional piece of eye-catching wulfenite crystals on appealing contrasting matrix.
This is a totally unique piece of exceptional aesthetics! What at first sight looks like a pseudomorphosis of some kind is in fact a hexahedral crystal overgrown with a second generation of smaller pyrite crystals. A striking outline almost as if done by a cookie cutter. White calcite on both sides as well as some sphalerite are beautiful additions and very much contribute to the general beauty of this specimen. The backside is contacted, the overall condition is outstanding. A dashy piece for any fine mineral showcase!
A very nice, compact apatite crystal that shows best shiny luster on all sides! The inside is partly obscured by some cracks and inclusions but nice and gemmy at some patches. The specimen is without damage and shows a complete hexagonal crystal that is perched on a smaller apatite.
