This is a very attractive specimen of purple fluorite with sphalerite crystals atop. The fluorite comes as a stack of very nicely crystallized modified cubes. Those cubes are transparent and lustrous with frosted bevels. Set between the fluorites you can see sphalerite crystals of intensive orange-red color which nicely contrasts with the purple fluorites. The piece is a floater with only minimal contacts and in best condition.

The main crystal at this high quality smoky quartz specimen is a stocky exemplar of best luster and clarity with a distinctive brown color. The growth pattern is rather unusual, two parallelly intergrown crystals forming a single large and dominant quartz. It is prominently nested between a number of smaller crystals that display the same beautiful quality. A brilliant and highly attractive smoky quartz on matrix!

Auernig, Mallnitz, Ankogel, Hohe Tauern, Carinthia, Austria
Size: 6.6 x 2.4 x 1.8 cm

This superb doubly terminated quartz shows perfectly developed tessin-quartz habit without any compromise. Both terminations are sharp and pointed and almost perfectly symmetric. Minimal contact induced roundings at the tips are only visible with the loupe. The quartz is transparent with characteristic chlorite inclusions which add a very nice green color that is especially strong towards the terminations. Absolutely amazing single quartz specimen of highest elegance!

IQ985 - Galena - Sold
Tri-State Mining District, USA
Size: 4.7 x 4.2 x 3 cm
Watch Video

Two metallic grey galena cubes are aesthetically set on a small piece of rock matrix with an association of small but brilliant red sphalerite crystals. The galena has that unusual and very distinctive "fortification" style that is due to octahedral modifications and a second generation galena overgrowth. This mechanic, machine-made-look is fascinating in person and a well desired feature on those galenas from the Tri-State Mining disctrict of Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma!

NL374 - Titanite - Sold

Typical for this site, the crystals on this piece have a reddish brown color, which is particularly nice in the glassy crystals! It is a very natural piece of matrix that is covered on both sides with adular microcrystals. There's a whole lot of brown titanites on the front, with a single larger main crystal standing out prominently! Very attractive in person!

ZB729 - Tourmaline with Lepidolite - Sold
Água Branca Mine, Ouro Fino, Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size: 7.8 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm

It has the ocean blue color, it has the pointed termination, it has the addition of fine purple lepidolite. This tourmaline is quite lovely indeed and even if it is not a hundred percent perfect (there is a broken side-crystal at the backside somewhere at the top of the lepidolite zone and it is repaired once) it is certainly a pretty crystal! The combination of blue, pink and purple is what sets this tourmaline apart from the crowd!

WV321 - Emerald - Sold
Panjshir, Afghanistan
Size: 7 x 5.8 x 1.6 cm
Watch Video

Size and quality of the emerald crystals on this specimen is utterly amazing for this locale. The longest crystal reach 3 cm in length, they are totally gemmy and with a rich and intensive green color that you could only truthfully describe as "emerald green"! None of the crystal has even the smallest impairment.
The emeralds lie on a velvety matrix of feldspar and mica, which is uncommon in this beauty. As you can see in our picture and video, the quality and especially the color of the crystals are really impressive! The piece comes with a label from London base collector David Lucas.

A unique 9.4 cm long doubly terminated crystal with several small side-crystals. The main crystal is dark brown, sharp and lustrous. The side-crystals add much to the overall aesthetics! The backside of the specimen is rough and intergrown with countless feldspar micro-crystals. Apart from that the specimen is flawless and completely undamaged!

The 4 cm long main crystal is super lustrous, glassy and has some beautiful sprays of golden red rutile needles inside. That crystal is set on a cluster of equally beautiful quartz crystals protruding in all directions like a star. The condition is fantastic. The floater specimen has hardly any abrasions at all. An amazing specimen with sweeping aesthetics!
