Smoky quartz from the Cavradi gorge is not exactly common, especially when it comes to large and massive specimens like this one! The main crystal is stunning 11.2 cm long and 7 cm broad and is attractively perched on a piece of rock matrix. Through the transparent quartz you can see this matrix which really brings live to the crystal! It is highly lustrous, shows dark and warm brown color and is a complete doubly terminated crystal. One small chip at the bottom is the only little flaw, the rest is perfect. The matrix has some smoky quartz side crystals as well as hematites, mostly at the underside. The whole specimen is impressive in size as well as quality and it's totally outstanding for the locale!
This is a highly attractive schorl from the Erongo Mountains that shows uttermost perfection and very well focussed aesthetics!
The schorl itself is jet-black, highly lustrous and with a beautiful stepped growth on all sides that leads towards a pointed termination.
A ridge of contrasting white feldspar along the right side and a small group of smoky quartz crystals perched to the left side both perfect the overall picture!
Absolutely lovely aesthetics and brilliant crystal quality!
A coral-like construct of sharply crystallized copper. The copper has no coating or patina but shows its very good rust-brown color. The second picture shows the specimen with incident daylight which very well presents that aspect. The specimen is all complete with no damage or even contacts. The largest crystals reach around 7 mm in length.
Covellite is a rare copper sulpfide mineral that is known for its strong metallic blue iridescence. While the mineral itself is well known it is only rarely found in its crystallised form. This specimen features several blossoms of thin tabular hexagonal plates that are set on a grey crystallised matrix. The largest of those blossoms has a diameter of somewhat over 1 cm and is very well isolated.
The elegance of this rich fluorite specimen from Planggenstock is really just unbeatable!
Lovely pink fluorites are arranged on a white feldspar-rich matrix. This not only makes for a strong contrast but also looks absolutely pristine. No damage, fresh open pink color and just finest crystal quality all over!
As you can see in our video the rock matrix is all natural, not trimmed or worked. This is a spectacular specimen without anydownsides!
This is a rather large specimen of phantom quartz from the spectacular find near the City of Hyderabad. Especially the interplay between smaller and larger crystals, all with that splendid dark purple hematite phantoms, is highly attractive and aesthetic! There are some damaged crystals here but the overall picture is rich and beautiful and those damages aren’t really that prominent. However, if you can accept some imperfections, you are in for a superb specimen of highest quality and beautiful composition! Have a look on our video for a better three-dimensional experience!
A complex cluster of interlocked red spessartine crystals is set atop a pristine white piece of feldspar matrix. The garnets are particularly well developed with nice luster and surface structure. At direct light they reveal their cherry red color that reflects from the crystals gemmy bodies. Especially near the surface this color is strong and enchanting. The stark contrast to the all around crystallized feldspar matrix makes this piece even more attractive. Very unique and beautiful!
Really beautiful in person and incredibly vibrant, this is an outstanding “faden”-quartz specimen with chlorite from North Waziristan.
When you hold this specimen in your hands it catches and reflects the light from all directions.
Best sparkling luster and brilliant clarity are combined with a wonderful aesthetics!
The quartz crystals are towering on a small piece of grey rock matrix and there is some greenish chlorite to add some color.
With no damage or even abrasions at all, this is a fantastic piece indeed!
This stunning specimen features a single morganite crystal with a size of 6.5 x 2.2 cm. It is set on a piece of feldspar and schorl matrix, where some of the schorl are intergrown with the morganite. Most attractive about this specimen is the stunning quality of the morganite itself. It is gemmy, highly lustrous and has a distinctive pink color! The hexagonal shape is almost complete and has beautiful modifications. Only at the underside you will see some intergrowth and a small chip. The rest is perfect. It is a remarkable specimen with a rough and natural look but very good quality!
Fluorite specimens from the Gastein Valley are highly sought after and exceptionally rare. The delicate pastel green hue, characteristic of this region, exudes an elegant charm, with the translucent crystals gleaming even in ordinary ambient light. The solitary octahedral fluorite in this specimen stands out with its distinctive shape, showcasing remarkable luster and transparency. It is beautifully set upon a white matrix, which is intricately covered in quartz microcrystals.
What a great hematite! This specimen comes from a new find which was made in spring 2013. It has great aesthetics and the two hematites that have grown together make the whole specimen very impressive. The matrix consists of crystallized albite with a small titanite attached on it. The condition over all is very good.
The two fat crystals, grown together on this matrix, look very impressive! The crystals are modified by stepped growth, what makes a good contrast to the very nice quartz!
