It is always a delight to see a smoky quartz specimen from the famous Rufibach find. As many of those pieces this one is cut at the bottom but this is for sure the only compromise you would have to take on this piece. The quality of all present crystals is absolutely pristine, glassy and lustrous, with perfect pointed terminations. The beautiful matrix completes this well balanced piece of striking aesthetics. Most crystals, including the larger main crystal, are right handed. We totally love this highest quality in quartz specimens and we are happy to offer this piece to our customers for a reasonable price!
From all the many pyrite crystals I have seen to date this is without question one of the very, very best!
Golden luster brightly shimmers all over the mirroring surface that especially strikes with beautiful bevelled edges and fine striations! The crytal is free of any damage and protrudes freely from a perfectly balanced white quartz matrix. The overall aesthetics is breathtaking and clearly defies the just-a-pyrite-attitude you might have come across. Every mineral has its masterpieces and pyrite is no exception! A single crystal of greenish anglesite with inclusions of limonite and malachite which adds nice color effects. The crystal has superb luster and good clarity where it is pure and not too much traversed by inclusions. The top is rough and not crystallized but covered in limonite and malachite as well.
Two balls of cerussite sit atop a red barite surface like amphibious pop eyes. The crystals are perfect all around and transparent with a smoky color. The backside is contacted but not damaged. Both crystals are 2.2 cm in diameter. This is a characteristic specimen for Mibladen with stark contrast and well defined aesthetics!
Kongsberg, the mother of silver deposits. Almost 400 years of mining history make this locale THE most famous silver mining regiong of the world. The specimen we have here is very much typical with several wires, one of which proturdes a staggering 4 cm off the main body. The bottom parts are associated with white calcite and some green malachite at the back. The silver itself shows great silvery luster, in parts coated with a nice natural patina. Classic old Kongsberg material in most attractive shape, 3-dimensional and elegant!
A single quartz crystal, not spectacular at first glance but a real beauty in detail! The quartz is water-clear and shows perfect luster on all sides. The arrow-head shape is quite unusual and distinctive. With no damage and a re-healed bottom, this specimen is very attractive in person. The backside holds some small hematite and muscovite inclusions, very characteristic for an Alpine quartz specimen. A stunningly beautiful single crystal!
The superlative brookite specimens of Kharan district, more precisely the Rashkoh Mountains, were first found in the early 2000s. Since then, a number of clefts have been opened to reveal such incredible crystals as this one!
A single, doubly terminated brookite tile of uttermost quality is perched on a well proportioned piece of rock to form this pice of pure aesthetics! The brookite is 3.7 cm long, transparent and blood-red with a lustrous surface! It is in best condition all over!
This brookite is a real blast, featuring a dominant and large main crystal with beautiful drawings and very best quality. Have a look on our video to get a 360° impression!
Unusually bright golden color and a vivid sheen are most intriguing attributes of this remarkably well shaped gold specimen from the famous finds in Pontes e Lacerda. It shows complex hoppered growth in a utterly perfect and sweeping way! The three-dimensionial structure is rich in geometrical forms which is just gorgeous in person! There is no damage or contact or any kind of inperfection. The color is a distinctive yellow that is only characteristic for this fabulous find and superior to just about anything we have seen so far from Brazil!
A prominent outline, stark contrast between smoky quartz and adularia and a staggering crystal quality are united at this fabulous piece. Especially the main quartz, protruding at the very center, shows beautiful surface structure and a intensive red-brown core, a color you rarely find at smoky quartz specimens. Great composition and outline make for an attractive specimen that sparkles with brilliant surfaces. Some smaller damage is evident but the overall condition is fine with no major breaks. A small chip to the main crystal is not visible from the front. The bottom of this fine piece is nicely crystallized with adularia and grass-green epidote, characteristic for Val Giuv.
Dreislar Mine was a classic European barite mine that produced many great pieces with a typical paragenesis of barite and chalcopyrite. On this piece you find white tabular barite with tiny dots of chalcopyrite, alternated with white to beige dolomite and attached clusters of golden chalcopyrite up to around 0.7 cm. The piece is nicely attractive, vibrant and with no obvious damage. Classic!
This lovely and fragile quartz specimen is out of an old find from the 1980s. It is composed of an elongated piece of matrix studded by glassy and highly lustrous quartz crystals, chaotically arranged yet with absolutely charming character. Despite the thin crystals this specimen is flawless with only peripheral contacts but no actual damage. Absolutely spectacular in person and a real eye-catcher!
What a beautiful wulfenite from Bleiberg, Austria. This is an exceptional group of wulfenites, perfectly situated on the top of the matrix. The crystals have a bright orange color, great luster and sharpness. It is free of damage, except one small broken crystal in the middle of the crowd, what does not really detract the beauty of this specimen at all. To get a good wulfenite from this locale has become very difficult in the past, so I was very lucky to get this piece.
