Holding this specimen in hands one faces a sparkling fireworks of high quality faden quartz. The chaotic composition of different crystal habits on matrix forms a unique specimen of superb aesthetics. The main crystal, being perfectly presented at the center of this piece is doubly terminated, 9.6 cm long and fantastically lustrous. Turning it around you find this specimen to be a floater with a wonderful backside, shiny and full of structure like a wall of ice. Finding any flaws on this piece is a different thing as there virtually are none. Especially the main crystals is a showpiece of perfection!
With an imposing length of over 10 cm this is an absolutely stunning piece. Not repaired and in flawless condition, there are no downsides on this specimen. Despite being a single crystal, this tourmaline offers much in respect of detail and variety. As you can see in the video, the sides are comprised of many shorter parallel crystals. The termination consists of three main peaks. The whole specimen is a composition of gemminess, pretty color and dramatic shape, covered in brightly sparkling luster.
This piece is truly outstanding. The composition of perfect red spessartine atop a white feldspar matrix is utterly striking and beautiful. The spessartine crystals are just flawless and of a deep wine-red coloring that is in stark contrast with the white matrix. A superb combination, beautiful all around and of the highest quality you can find!
This marvelous piece has a just striking outline and is, aside of some inconsiderable contacts, in perfect condition. While the frontside is all just pyrite, the backside is nicely covered in hundreds of small sphalerite crystals. A beautiful sight all around. The specimen is 3-dimensional and sparkling all around. A lovely little eye-turner!
Over 4 cm in diameter, brilliantly lustrous all around and with a sharp pyramidal termination. This black tourmaline dominantly sits on a bed of smaller side-crystals and quartz of well balanced proportion. There are only minimal abrasions visible here but no actual damage. A beautiful jet-black crystal of great aesthetics!
A large single azurite crystal being completely pseudomorphed to silky, shimmering malachite. The classic tsumeb shape of the azurite is fully intact, dominant and undamaged all around. A very straight forward piece of intriguing size and shape!
A brilliant brasilianite from the type locality Corrego Frio. This is a single floater crystal, all sharp and gemmy. The color is very strong, a charming golden yellow. Turning it around in my hands I find the luster brilliant at the terminal faces, while the main faces are slightly frosted but still fine and with a beautiful structure. A great golden jewel, very elegant and free of any damage!
A very well balanced matrix-piece of utter brilliance that impresses with superb luster and best crystal quality as is typical for Cavradi quartz. The composition of water-clear quartz on harmonious grey matrix is absolutely awesome and classic. The main crystal, vertically protruding from this fine piece, is 5.7 cm long, perfect all around and elegant. The backside of the matrix is cut but the impressive main view offers a distinctly natural appeal with many side-crystals of matching quality. A brilliant piece in person!
While at first glance this piece might not be as impressive as some others we presented so far, this specimen is absolutely awesome if you take the time for a closer look. The surface of this matrix-piece is covered in a composition of hundreds of smaller quartz crystals of sparkling quality and anatase of highest quality. With a length of up to 6 mm and a rare honey-yellow color the anatase crystals are just outstanding and splendid, considering the locale. This is practically a must for every collector of rare Alpine treasures.
This whole piece looks a bit rough with inclusions, contacts and growth irregularities. But then there is so much to see and appreciate! Especially the upper part is highly lustrous, clear and sharply terminated (with a very small ding). At the inside you see colorful inclusions from grey to orange, yellow and red. As you can see in our video, this is a great piece to look at with vibrant inner life and great luster!
A 3-dimensional snowflake of light water-blue aragonite, all marvelous and striking. At some patches you find a second generation of fragile white aragonite grown on the slender, long prismatic main crystals. Aside one small contact at the bottom this speicmen is fully crystallized in virtually perfect condition. Very attractive and exceptionally well shaped with unusually sharp and robust crystals for the locale.
Incredible luster, unusual composition and a nice purple color make this a brilliantly beautiful piece. The main body of this quartz is white and opaque but crystal terminations on all sides - even at the bottom - are clear, filled with color and show so called "windows" on the crystal faces. There is some minor edge wear present but all in all this is a piece of very good quality that is practically a floater.
