A spray of thick metallic stibnite crystals shapes this distinctive Chinese specimen. The antimony mines near the town of Lushi have produced a number of fine crystals in the years 1995 to 2000 but are closed now, thus no new stuff is comming from there. The crystals here, as is typical for the find, are well terminated and up to over one centimeter thick. The striated surfaces shows tempering colors and very good luster all around. The whole piece is very much 3-dimensional and in good shape. One broken crystal at the back is not visible from the front. Very attractive in person, distinctive and catchy!

Massive and very well defined this is a beautiful specimen of large trapezohedral analcime crystals on basalt matrix with associated small calcite. The opaque white crystals nicely contrast with the brown matrix. With the largest crystal being 7.5 cm in size this is definitely a major piece and completely flawless all around. Impressive in size and quality with a distinctive arrangement. A look on our video is absolutely worth a look!

Color and shape of this miniature spodumene specimen are quite out of the ordinary. What at first sight would remind me of a skeletal aquamarine specimen is in fact a brilliant etched spodumene floater of light greenish blue color. The piece is in very good condition with some edgewear but no real damage. The crystal is gemmy and superbly lustrous. A surprisingly detailed and attractive little specimen!

A well defined, sharp fluorite cube with absolutely striking purple and green phantoms inside the otherwise glassy crystal. The cube is lustrous on all sides and free of any considerable damage. The interior is quite fascinating as is characteristic for the Okorusu Mine. A purple cubic phantom holds another green phantom inside. The innermost part of the crystal is held by some tufted matrix. This main fluorite sits on a cluster of smaller fluorite crystals, accompanied by several white quartz prisms. Very aesthetic and typical for the locale.

A cluster of high quality elbaite crystals from the famous Pederneira Mine. The main crystal is a total of 9.1 cm in lenght, gemmy green to blue and with a sharp, pointed termination. The thick and flat terminated side crystals have a opaque core, coated with a layer of brilliant gemmy and highly lustrous tourmaline. There are some broken crystals here which dramatically reduces the price on this piece of highest crystal quality and considerable size.

A number of single isolated, blocky wulfenite crystals on contrasting white calcite matrix. The combination of bright orange wulfenite on white calcite is quite rare for the locale as most pieces are on limestone or just too crowded make out any matrix at all. The crystals on this piece are brightly lustrous and show a slight sandwich-effect at the side faces. Very nicely crystallized and free of any considerable damage. This is a distinctive piece of high quality and great aesthetics!

This majestic amethyst is from the legendary 70s find of Struntz and Putzgruber and totally impresses with its exceptional size and quality! The color is a satiated violet as known almost exclusively from Mörchnerkar when it comes to Alpine amethyst! The piece is crystallized all around including the bottom. Especially the main view is all brilliant, lustrous and glassy. There is a break at the backside but which happened during growth and thus is slightly re-healed and acceptable on an important classic speciman as this. Absolutely stunning and beautiful in person!

AP8 - Titanite and Adularia - Sold

One doubly terminated titanite crystal horizontally lies across a small piece of matrix. While the middle section is set with some adularia crystals, both terminations are freely visible. The backside shows the countinuous titanite crystal, 4.4 cm long, but the luster is a little less bright and there is one chip right at the center which makes our choise for a main view obvious. All in all this is definitely an appealing specimen that is basically a floater of good quality!

It is almost impossible to get a good scheelite from the Austrian Alps and even harder if it's got size! This is a massive, 850 gram(!) crystal with a bright orange color from the famous Rauris valley in Salzburg. With a size of over 10 cm this crystal is a real giant and totally unique, especially for a piece of this fantastic color! When illuminated from the back a dark juicy orange, almost red, warmly radiates from the rock!
The crystal is contacted at the back but has no damage at all which makes it even more attractive!A perfect fit to every high class alpine collection that brings some color to it!

A number of spherical blue azurite crystals are scattered across this landscape of snow-white calcite. The already marvelous contrast is even improved by some green malachite at the right side of the specimen. Considering the classic locale, this is truly a unique piece of highest quality, as I rarely have seen it before. The azurite spheres - the largest of which has a diameter of 8 mm - are in perfect condition and show velvety blue color. In between these spheres you can see scalenohedral calcite crystals of differing size. Without question, this is a unique piece of superb aesthetics and quality!
