Imposing like a mountain, littered with masses of sparkling adularia! Atop this mountain stands a dominant structure of metallic black hematite, well contrasting against the background. The hematite shows lovely rosettes of mirroring hematite on otherwise rather thick plates! Along the left side and the back is an amount of chlorite and muscovite which is characteristic for this important locale!
All in all this is a somehow rough piece but completely free of damage and literally studded with high quality crystals!
Found in the world's best strontianite-locale this little ball of strontium carbonate shows lovely stepped crystallization and best luster on all sides. As a perfect floater it shows no damage or contacts anywhere. The color is characteristic for the mineral, a gentle skin color, radiating from the translucent crystals inside! A superb specimen of this rare mineral!
The Gerstenegg cleft is a huge cleft, found in 1974 in the course of power plant construction works. Now preserved as a natural monument and exhibition cleft, it yielded a number of high class quartz and pink fluorite specimens back in the early 80s.
This specimen holds a dominant, water-clear main crystal that is sharp and shows a rudimentally termination at the bottom. The crystal is embedded in a natural cluster of quartz and feldspar that makes for a nice background. With no damage all around, this is an outstanding specimen from this long closed collecting locality!
Aesthetics is everything! This marvelous little tourmaline specimen seems to have emerged right out of the textbook. One main crystal, one side-crystal and a perfectly proportioned piece of shiny mica matrix. The crystals are flawless, gemmy, lustrous and multicolor. Have a look on our video for a full comprehension of this tourmaline's beauty!
Very aesthetic high quality topaz from the unique find of etched specimens at Fazenda do Centro. The crystal is all complete and in outstanding condition! It is very much transparent with a champagne colored tinge. Have a look on our video for a better three-dimensional impression!
This unusual disc shaped crystal habit is known to occur at the Wutong Mine but crystals of such exceptionally large size are extremely rare! The vivid cherry-red translucent crystal shows an extensive frosted surface, encompassed by pinkish white rhodochrosite microcrystals. The lower left corner is where it detached from the matrix, all other edges are perfectly well developed. Turning it around you can see the microcrystals extending over the whole face with some pyrite association which looks absolutely lovely! A marvelous and huge rhodochrosite for this unusual shape!
Brilliantly sparkling tourmaline from a recent find in Myanmar that has produced a small number of exceptional tourmalines with highest quality and beauty!! The crystals from this find show incredibly good quality and very attractive deep red color that stands out from the large number of tourmalines worldwide! This miniature specimen is crowded with beautiful crystals. Among the many small tourmalines there is one main crystal, 1.7 cm long and 1.6 cm in diameter, dwarfing all the others. All crystals show best sparkling luster and very well developed polyhedral terminations. The color appears cherry-red all over but at closer observation the crystals have a beautiful greenish brown center. There is no damage overall, only peripheral contacts. Have look on our video for a better view of the bright luster and the remarkably intensive color!
This piece has got enormous "showcase presence"! It is not just large but also strikes with pristine quality and a dramatic, elevated main crystal: An "L" shaped combination of two crystals in a wide 110° angle with a total span of 16.5 cm across! The quartz is sharp, glassy white with brilliant luster all around! The whole construct has ideal aesthetics. Smaller doubly terminated quartz crystals form the base upon which the dominant and artful quartz shape is set. As a floater this specimen is all complete and generally in very best condition! A wonderful specimen of superb quality and aesthetics!
This Stak Nala tourmaline group strikes me as completely unusual! Four crystals are parallelly aligned, divided only by some accompanying white albite! All tourmalines are about equally long and thick, show pyramidal terminations and very good luster all around! The top has great open green and turquoise color, further down the crystals turn opaque which is characteristic for the locale. The white albite is a lovely and fragile background for these four crystals and adds to the overall aesthetics! Have a look on our video for a look on the 3-dimensional quality of this piece!
It is an elongated single crystal of tourmaline that is exceptionally gemmy and lustrous with a distinct water-blue color that is easily visible despite the rather thin crystal. Towards the sharp pyramidal termination you can see a short mossy green zone which adds much to the overall impression of the piece! Despite the fact that this is a single crystal it shows a very much unique and attractive design which is due to its unusual “bow” at the lower end. Also this part of the crystal is studded with some white feldspar which adds a lovely visual effect! Have a look on our video for a better 3-dimensional view!
I have hardly ever seen a quartz with such exceptional phantoms inside! The cololess quartz is clear on the inside and has good luster, especially on the front. The front face is like a window through which you can see the very distinctive dark green phantom that reaches out from the bottom like a spear! At closer inspection this is another first generation quartz with heavy chloritizations on the surface, which got overgrown by the second generation quartz. Absolutely unique and faszinating! Another, much fainter phantom is visible just below the termination. Some iron oxide layer on the backside of the crystal adds even more color and structure to this already rich specimen. Turning the piece around you will even find some rutile needles grown into a small vug-like hole near the termination. The condition is great with some rough edges at the termination but no actual damage! This specimen generously shows its many beautiful details as you very well can see in our video!
This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way. This specimen is a dominant epidote "bow tie" that is accompanied by a smaller version attached to it like in an acrobatic performance. Both clusters are in best condition! A lovely specimen of exceptional aesthetics!
