We simply call this specimen, due to the shape of the fluorite as you might well see on the picture, the “Number 3”. The fluorite itself is of very good condition, holding a beautiful pink color and distinct crystal modification. The white matrix adds a perfect contrast and accentuates the fluorite prettily. This specimen was found in the 1960s at the “Rufibach-pocket”. Though most of the pieces from this find are cut at the bottom, this specific one is not. All in all, this is a piece of remarkable shape and quality.

Flos ferri, the “flowers of iron” are a sought form of aragonite that are typical for the classic locale of Erzbert, Austria. While they are usually white, in some very rare events there were blue versions found. This very piece is one of those exceptional pieces. Admittedly most of the longer, fragile aragonite tentacles are broken, but considering the rareness of this mineral it’s hard to ever find a piece without those damages. It is definitely still a nice view of soothing blue color and nice structure, with silvery shimmering surface and some matrix to hold the iron flowers together and form this incredibly rare specimen.

The unusual shape of a screwdriver is what makes this piece special! The crystal is mostly black but strikingly green at the termination. It's interesting and astounding to see the typical triangular shape of a tourmaline broken down to its mere outlines! The crystal is in good condition with only some minor edge-wear. A good choice for any collector of unusually shaped fine minerals.

Found in spring 2014 this specimen is a fine example for its unique kind. The striking turquoise Paraiba-color is caused by copper and catches the eye instantly. Analysis identified this mineral as the extremely rare tridymite crystobalite opal. The opal is grown over colorless quartz as you can well see on the broken backside. The front also shows some damage but best color and the sheer rareness of this mineral more than make up for this little deficiency. Absolutely outstanding!

A sculpturesque floater specimen of vanadinite on matrix. The crystals are up to 1.5 cm in diameter and richly distributed all over the piece. The individual crystals are sharp, lustrous and gemmy red. The backside of the specimen is completely covered in some light grey coating which also affects the vanadinites but that's hardly visible from the front. The condition is perfect, no damage anywhere!

Its a beautiful sight having all different crystal sizes from really tiny up to around 3.5 cm in diameter. Additionally there is lovely white calcite present to add some nice accents. This is definitely a great piece of impressive size and remarkable quality!

Rarely have we seen gwindel as beautiful and distinctive as this one. Imposing in size and quality this specimen definitely draws the attention. Most exceptional though is the chlorite coating that adds a wonderful greenish coloring to this piece. Very often do we see such a coating disrupting the harmony of quartz specimen but fortunately no here where there is just enough but not too much of chlorite present. The inner body of the gwindel is virtually free of cracks and marvelously glassy. The bottom is recrystallized finalizing a piece in overall superb condition. Impressive and elegant alike this is a truly exceptional gwindel!
