The colorful combination of purple amethyst with crimson red hematite inclusions is uniquely beautiful and utterly fascinating in person! The inclusions on this specimen are especially rich, concentrated at the tips of the short pyramidal quartz crystals. With some backlight you can very nicely see the different zones of white quartz at the core, purple amethyst and fire red hematite inclusions towards the tips. The backside is completely crystallized and the overall condition is excellent.
The Moon Light mine is one of the lesser know localities at Thunder Bay as there is no public collecting allowed there. This specimen however is a beautiful exemplar from this rare occurrance!

Congo is by far the worlds best region for primary malachite. This specimen shows a rosette of interleaved lustrous forest green malachite, all very sharp and dramatic. The backside is broken or contacted but the main view is quite spectacular for the mineral and shows no considerable damage. A massive and rare primary malachite specimen of uncommon crystallization!

A very good cluster of rose quartz and smoky quartz with perfectly crystallized front AND backside. Due to the thin architecture this specimen is especially easy to illuminate with some backlight! Great luster and lovely color make this quite the appealing specimen!

The quality of this topaz is absolutely top notch in every respect! The amazing crystal is completely glassy from bottom to top without even the slightest impurities! The termination is sharp and lustous. There is one repair near the bottom but the rest is all in fantastic condition and breathtakingly gemmy!
The color is a mix of orange with pink clouds in the middle which is fascinating in person. The 2.6 cm long crystal is set on a feldspar/quartz matrix that’s unusually nice for the locale. Our video shows the incredible quality of this crystal!

This wonderful floater specimen of dark andradite is a super-elegant exemplar from this classic locale as you won't find alike! It is completely crystallized with well developed trapezohedral garnets with a nice silky surface. What looks black in normal light becomes a dark and satiated red when provided with direct backlight - at least at the edges, where smaller crystals are more easily lit. Between the garnet there is also some hematite but which is the only association on this specimen. Condition is overall extremely good. There are two contacts but no acutal damage or even abrasions.

The quality of this single isolated pyrite cube is absolutely stunning and beautiful!
Best golden luster and a unique surface structure that looks almost machine made! This brilliant crystal is freely set on a three-dimensional matrix of white quartz and pyrite side-crystals. The whole specimen is in superb condition. Some rough patches at the backside of the main crystal are in fact just contacts, no damage.

OF449 - Quartz - Sold

Even rarer than the fine purple cactus-quartz from Boekenhoutshoek is the yellow variant which makes for a stunning contrast! These crystals are highly lustrous, sharp and translucent to transparent. The bright yellow color is caused by inclusions of hematite and goethite and is really intensive here!
The piece is from a collection in South Africa where it has been for over 20 years. Quality and condition are totally outstanding!

It's not only a completely transparent etched quartz crystal with best luster but also in surprisingly well condition! At some parts you can see the original hexagonal shape - for example when you look from the top, but also there are some flat faces left. The top and bottom terminations are completely etched. Brilliant luster and perfect transparency make this look like a sculpture of pure ice!

IK392 - Rutile included Quartz - Sold
Ritterkar, Rauris, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 27.5 x 16.5 x 12.5 cm

This huge rutilated quartz from the Ritterkar is surely not for everyone. It is wild, it is untamed and rugged. But it is also full of natural beauty! Lustrous quartz is mixed with silvery schist matrix and orange limonate. Inside the quartz you can see rich rutile inclusions but also a strong orange color that originates in iron oxide filling out small cracks in the quartz. There are many contacts but the more you look, the more you realize: there really is no damage here. If you are in for a natural beauty of stunning size then have a closer look on this unusual specimen!

The distinctive bend this tourmaline crystal describes is a compelling eye-catcher. The surface is all lustrous and with fine striations. Simply beautiful!
