Very nicely crystallized rose quartz of striking pink color and sculpturesque composition! It's a rather chaotic assembly but with aesthetic overall shape that is 3-dimensional and rich in details. The largest single crystal on this piece is a doubly terminated 2.7 cm crystal at the top. Associated to the pink quartz are veins of white quartz which adds some contrast to the otherwise pure rose quartz specimen. The whole piece is in best condition on all sides.
The single ruby on this specimen has a visible size of 1.6 cm and is absolutely brilliant! It is in very best condition and highly lustrous on all sides. The color is a lovely pink with a whitish zone in the center. The ruby is set on a exceptionally well crystallized white calcite matrix. A splendid ruby specimen of highest appeal!
A 3-dimensional group of octahedral magnetite crystals has been pseudomorph transformed into metallic grey hematite at the cinder pits near the Payún Matru volcano. This structure is a distinctly 3-dimensional floater specimen that shows characteristic hoppered growth and towering octahedrons. The piece is all undamaged and very much appealing in person!
A combination of pericline and quartz on a rust-brown limonite matrix. The pericline are well defined crystals up to 2.6 cm tainted with some brown iron oxide. Quartz is arranged between the pericline is transparent and with some iron oxide as well. The overall condition is very good with only minimal abrasions. The larger quartz at the top is repaired which is unfortunate but certainly reduces the price on this otherwise charming and well shaped specimen!
A cluster of brilliant and sharp spessartine crystals are set on a contrasting white quarz and feldspar matrix. The garnets show deep cherry-red color that radiates from their cores if you add some downlight. All crystals are in best condition and absolutely flashy!
Another very fine galena on matrix. The crystal is surrounded by many small crystals of quarz, what looks very lovely. The quality of the galena is better than shown on the pictures, having pretty good luster and it is free of damage. Much better in person!
This is an especially fine and colorful liddicoatite crystal that has a great lot of beautiful details to offer. Most certainly the dramatic color-play of different green shades and saturated strawberry red will enchant you in combination with the very lively aesthetics of tourmaline and contrasting white, slightly blueish albite. Even the bottom is terminated leaving nothing to be desired. The whole crystal is translucent and very colorful with no visible damage. One small part - a side crystal covered in matrix at the left - is repaired but which is not visible from the front.
A unique liddicoatite specimen of just perfect size and aesthetics!
Doubly terminated, strawberry colored and with a very nice surface structure! This tourmaline from the Ampanivana pegmatite is overall in near-perfect condition with modified terminations on bottom and top. The crystal needs direct backlight to reveal its colors but those are really worth it as the predominant strawberry red is encased by a fresh apple green which is totally beautiful!
An aesthetic combination of a rather large main quartz emerging from a group of smaller crystals. The quartz is completely colorless, glassy and lustrous, with no damage to speak of. A beautiful, well developed specimen with no downsides!
This brilliant thumbnail specimen features a number of sharp, lustrous and well developed doubly terminated anatase crystals on a white feldspar matrix. The largest anatase has a bit over 1 cm and is accompanied by a small quartz which adds the little extra to the already stunning composition!
A lovely little anatase cystal on a contrasting white matrix! The aesthetic is quite striking, the anatase is all perfect and sharp with a maximum diamter of 0.9 cm. A perfect little thumbnail specimen from the Zard Mountains!
Jet black tabular hematite in combination with schorl, quartz and albite micro-crystals. The hematite has very nice luster on front and backside and while it has mostly rough edges those are not damaged but natural. The hematite is set on a single clear and lustrous quartz crystal that has a thin schorl grown right through it. The larger schorl crystals are on the front and up to 1 x 0,3 cm in size. All in all this is a very nice combination piece without damage from the rauris quarry. The pictures also show the exact findspot.
