Size: 8.6 x 4.7 x 2 cm

The fan-shape of lustrous epidote crystals is quite characteristic for the locale that produced a rich amount of fine epidote specimens in the 90s but is closed ever since. The crystals are generally opaque but show bright gemmy green patches and an overall green shimmer at direct downlight. All crystals are sharp and lustrous and perfectly arranged to form this highly aesthetic specimen. The size is quite remarkable and exceeds the majority of comparable Pampa Blanca epidote fans! Almost perfect all around and stunningly beautiful!

Especially the mainy pyrite on this specimen shows just excellent crystallisation and brilliant golden luster, with bevelled edges. The surface is nicely striated and shows no damage. A second pyrite has an imprint at its side but is also undamaged though the luster is not as good. Both crystals are embedded in a landscape of white quartz. Have a 360° look in our video!

Octahedral fluorites of different sizes are scattered over a surface of acicular quartz. The sometimes single isolated, sometimes interlocked crystals have wonderful green color with purple edges which adds a beautiful visual effect! The backside is a matrix of massive green fluorite where the white quartz is attached to. The whole specimen is in very good condition with mostly flawless, translucent crystals. Best quality dioptase with single crystals up to 0.9 cm is richly grown over a piece of matrix. The overall shape is highly attractive and distinctive. Between the sparkling, gemmy and deep green dioptase you can see snow-white calcite that provides contrast! The piece does not need a lot of light but when provided with direct downlight the effect of exploding color and hundreds of mirroring crystal faces is just mesmerizing! Absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition!

A large, heavy and totally impressive floater-specimen of pure galena, crystallized in cubo-octahedral habit and associated with beautiful white calcite, especially at the backside and periphery. The backside also holds some smaller patches of chalcopyrite.
Galena crystals range from a few millimeters to around 2.5 centimeters, show mirroring luster and "melted" edges. There is no damage anywhere which is a small miracle on a heavy piece like this! Wonderfully aesthetic and alegant, full of pretty details and impressive in size and quality!

WK12 - Aragonite - 1500€
Lavrion District Mines, Lavrion District, Attika Prefecture, Greece
Size: 24 x 14 x 9 cm

Lavrion is one of the great classic European locales for aragonite and has produced many great pieces. Still, among all those specimen I have hardly every seen a specimen of a size and quality comparable to this very specimen! The main view is a great display of light blue aragonite that is absolutely amazing! The botrioidal shapes offer a very 3-dimensional landscape that beautifully shines in ordinary daylight. The rather intensive blue color is caused by copper salts inclusions and is uniform throughout the whole specimen. This sure is a dramatic aragonite of intensive color and great quality from of the minerals best sources!

SO108 - Phenakite - 3000€
Izumrudnye Kopi area, Malyshevo, Ekaterinburg, Sverdlovskaya Oblast', Urals Region, Russia
Size: 6.2 x 5.3 x 3.9 cm
Watch Video

A single impressive crystal of colorless, transparent phenakite on black mica schist! The bulky crystal is rather large for this rare gemstone and in perfect condition. At some spots and at the pieces core there are inclusions of mica as is characteristic for the famous Izumrudnye Kopi belt but large areas around 1 cm deep into the crystal are transparent. The specimen is complete all around with only minimal edge-wear.
Pieces from this locale are real classics and especially transparend pices like this one are highly coveted!

This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way. This specimen is a dominant epidote "bow tie" of considerable 4 cm in size. It is accompanied by a second, smaller cluster that is equally perfectly developed. Highly attractive and in very best shape!

Etched spessartine of deep blood-red color with supreme luster on all sides! As a complete floater there is no damage anywhere, just the beautifully structured surface as is characteristic for the locale! While this is generally a loose single cristal, there is one quartz attached to it which makes for a very nice visual effect! Most special however is the incredibly gemmy interior! Provide some backlight and the deep red color radiates its magic glow! An absolutely fantastic specimen from this important locale!
