This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way.
This specimen is a dominant epidote "bow tie" that is accompanied by a smaller version attached to it like in an acrobatic performance. Both clusters are in best condition! A lovely specimen of exceptional aesthetics!
This is one amazing piece of fluorite! The all limpid crystal is a complete floater in very best condition that shows marvelous surface structure on all sides! Under closer inspection you would find three cubical crystals that are so heavily modified that the basic shape is hardly discernible. The color is a light but distinctive ocean green thats homogenous throughout the specimen. What it comes down to is a rounded, all crystallized shape of glassy green fluorite that is utterly beautiful and attractive in person!
One single white thread, the "Faden", stretches 16 cm from bottom to top and connects a large number of sparkling, sharp and gemmy quartz crystals to an amazingly beautiful and sweeping sculpture! This specimen is pristine all around! So much so that when you turn it in your hands you never want to stop, you want to take in all the 3-dimensional elegance! High quality, superb aesthetics, stunning size and best condition!
Yes, it is only a single crystal. But the quality of this one is absolutely incredible, beautiful and amazing in person! Warm brown color - intensive yet not too dark - fills the glassy crystal body. It is confined in a casing of super-lustrous prism faces with a sharp pyramidal termination. Especially those pyramidal faces show lovely surface structure, like subtle waves on a calm lake. There is not a single scratch all the way down to the recrystallized, partly feldspar-covered bottom. This is a wonderful exemplar of Swiss smoky quartz in uttermost perfection!
This very distinctive short prismatic quartz crystal strikes with superb luster and a complete, limpid transparency throughout the whole crystal! Tthrough one of the steep pyramidal faces that act as window to the inside you can see right to the bottom where a nice green byssolite lawn is visible. The crystal is perfect on all sides on the bottom and the termination. There are some contacts but no damage at all! Very attractive and of highest quality!
Lustrous and sharp lazulite crystals up to 9 mm are forming this dramatic stalagmite. There is associated white quartz and brown, glassy siderite adding some contrast to the ink-blue lazulite. The dark crystals appear almost black at normal room-light but direct downlight reveals gemmy parts and fresh blue and green patches. Very nice and attractive piece from this important locale that produced some of the best of the species!
Good calcite specimens from the eastern Alps are scarce and mostly limited to the Glocknerhauptkamm, the main ridge of the Glockner. This specimen was found by the famous collector Gottlieb Obkircher and is one of the finest found in this region! A thin plate of matrix is covered in white adularia and some contrasting dark chlorite. Upon this matrix lies a massive piece of colorless calcite like a stranded whale. The calcite is perfect, glassy and with a characteristic shimmer! A grand specimen of superb Austrian calcite on matrix as we have hardly seen alike!
A characteristic specimen of spessartine on feldspar that offers great contrast and sparkling gem red crystals. The largest garnet is 1.2 cm in diameter, sharp and lustrous as are the other crystals that cover the feldspar matrix. Very attractive and in best condition!
It's a smaller but very attractive topaz floater from the unique find at Fazenda do Centro. The quality is abolutely amazing. The water clear topaz is encompassed by a beautifully structured etched surface in overall very good condition. There is minor edge-wear present but which is hardly discernible on this fascinating specimen. The shape is like a vivid flame as you can see in our video!
Highest quality quartz, accompanied by a single 4.5 cm pericline crystal. The quartz has best vibrant luster, a brilliant glassy interior and a sharp pointed termination. At its left there is some silvery chlorite but just so much that it accomplishes the beauty of this specimen without disturbing the quality. Dreiherrenspitze (Picco dei Tre Signori) on the border between Austria and Italy is a rather uncommon locale for mineral specimens but this is surely a very attractive specimen of superb quality and appealing aesthetics!
This is an unusual combination of jet-black hematite and milky white adularia. The hematite comes as tabular, highly lustrous crystals in overall very good condition. Along the upper ridge is a group of white adularia which provides a very good contrast. The backside and bottom are completely crystallized as well leaving this as a very attractive specimen in best condition!
L'Etoile du Congo (French for "The star of Congo") is among others known for very attractive sky-blue chrysocolla specimens in varying formations. This striking miniature features a single bulbous shape atop a chrysocolla encrusted piece of grey rock. The aesthetics is very well defined and there is no damage!
