This is a beautiful quartz sceptre from the famous Rauris Valley in the Austrian Alps. The crystal shows high luster and clarity! On the back side a small calcite is present, which looks very lovely in person. It is completely free of damage and as a cool extra, the crystal is well doubly terminated. This piece remained for decades in a german collection, from whom I recently got it out.
What a beautiful aquamrine! I love the contrast to the smoky quarz and the snow white feldspar on this piece.
This single crystal of fluorite strikes as a massive specimen, free of any damage and with great color. Actually, the color is even better – more to the red end of the spectrum – than at picture and video and shines truly fantastic when illuminated. The surface of this fluorite is naturaly etched, which adds much to the general impact of the specimen. At the backside you can see calcite, grown into the fluorite. All in all, this piece has a distinct alpine character and is of very fine quality!
WOW, what a beautiful aquamarine! Color, clarity, contrast, luster and aesthetics are perfectly present at this specimen. The piece is in a very good condition over all with just some very tiny edge wear at the back side of the crystal.
Sharp and highly lustrous, this doubly terminated anatase crystal is set on a beautifully sparkling matrix that provides an intensive contrast to emphasize the main crystal. The main crystal is 1.4 cm long, flawless and with some gemmy blue and brown patches that are visible under strong direct illumination.
Scattered across the surface of the white matrix you find smaller anatase crystals. The piece is highly attractive and in perfect condition.
Composed from a beautiful honey-yellow elongated main crystal with various side crystals and accompanied by laumontite and pyrite, this striking specimen is very much unusual. Especially the shiny main crystal draws attention. It stands upon the grey matrix like a menhir, much more 3-dimensional than the picture would suggest. At the tip it is intergrown with fanned out white laumontite which adds a very nice aspect to this already pretty piece. The backside is crystallized all over and shows pyrite crystals of up to 1.1 cm in size. Very nice indeed and in very good condition.
Completely flawless all around, this floater is a true eye-catcher. Not just for its significant size, but primarily for its unusually fine aesthetics. Like white petals of a blooming flower, calcite crystals are clustered atop a pretty, mica covered matrix. Especially nice about this specimen is the clear contrast between silky matt white calcite and sparkling black mica. I’m happy to see such a vivid specimen of high quality coming from the Austrian Alps!
A real marvel from the world-famous Pederneira Mine that shows the typical gemmy and highly lustrous bi-color elbaite on pristine white albite. Free of any damage worth mentioning this specimen is deeply impressive and utterly beautiful. The crystal has a raspberry red, translucent core and a water-blue, transparent termination, is perfectly lustrous and basically flawless, with a flat and lustrous termination. The white albite adds a very strong contrast that highlights the colorful tourmaline. Some lavender lepidolite even improves the picture. A highly picturesque specimen of strong colors, great balance and pure textbook aesthetics.
Nestled between blueish pieces of matrix, is a cluster of lustrous, deep green, "primary" crystals of malachite. In addition, the malachite crystals, which reach 1.0 cm across, possess areas of gemmy highlights. This is an important specimen for the locality. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection. Ex. Thomas Weiland Collection.
Very aesthetic specimen of two interlocked anatase on a small piece of calcite covered matrix. The anatase are doubly terminated and very well shaped. The surface is not especially lustrous but smooth and with very little damage all around. A very aesthetic thumbnail specimen of unique character!
A single, absolutely brilliant fluorite cube of lovely quality and color sits on a decent muscovite covered matrix. The crystal is of light blue color with a distinct purple phantom. It is in near perfect condition with only very minor edgwear at one of the edges. I love this very clear picture of one single isolated, well developed crystal on matrix. Highly aesthetic and elegant in person!
This is pristine white and lustrous hemimorphite, constructed as a almost complete wheel. That shape is quite straight forward yet unusually nice in person! The wheel is set on a small piece of rusty red matrix, associated with smaller hemimorphite crystals. A very attractive specimen that's in very best condition!
