A classic mineral from Germany with elegant outline and shiny, sharp crystals. The shape of this specimen resembles the hilly landscape of St. Andreasberg where it was found. Below the shiny metallic surface of the crystals you find blood-red glowing parts that are only revealed at intense illumination. At the backside there is some smaller stilbite present. This is a fine classy specimen of high quality and grace.
This rare piece is a combination of prase at the bottom and amethyst at the upper half. It is one of the best crystals from an older find. As the search for minerals has meanwhile been prohibited at Serifos there are no new specimen comming these last years. The fanned out shape of this specimen is very 3-dimensional and lovely, reminding me of a blossom, waiting for a passing by hummingbird. There is no damage on this piece, even the smallest side crystals are intact. An unusual specimen of great quality and a dramatic, highly attractive color change.
This single apatite crystal impresses with its massy body - 1.8 cm thick - as well as its polyhedral crystal habit. The apatite is clear, lustrous and in good condition. Aside of one damage at the bottom, there is no visible flaw on this piece. An appealing specimen of imposing size and quality!
If you are a fan of extraordinarily shaped tourmalines, you will be honestly amazed by this fantastic specimen! What used to be a green tourmaline with orange termination has been intensely etched all around to become an amazing, fragile and dazzlingly beautiful specimen. It is a floater without any contacted spots. I have to admit that there is some tiny damage present but which does not catch the eye easily as the structure is so chaotic and mesmerizing. Incredibly sharp and clear as glass! You could easily read the newspapers through this crystal - yes, I have tried - for it is absolutely perfect with a completely smooth surface. Only after around 2.5 to 3 cm the crystal starts to show internal cracks and inclusions before it turns completely opaque further down. The quartz sits on a grey piece of matrix and is exceptionally aesthetic in person. A small chip at the backside of the crystal's termination is really not discernible from the front but keeps the price low for this beautiful piece!
The dominant main quartz crystal springs from a chaotic cluster of quartz, adularia, some tiny rutile needles and yellowish iron oxide. It is a floater with some broken but completely re-crystallized quartz crystals. No cosiderable damage, just some edgewear here and there. A piece of dramatic aesthetic in good condition that is very characteristic for the region of Rauris.
A sparkling cluster of nested tetrahedral pyrite of exceptional quality! The huanzala mine is certainly among the worlds best localities for pyrite and this very piece speaks loudly for this credit! The whole surface is covered in crystals up to over 2 cm on edge that show a nice golden luster and no damage to speak of.
The composition is quite 3-dimensional and a nice play of smaller and larger crystals stacked together. The underside of the specimen is partly crystallized with some tiny quartz in between. An impressive specimen of high class pyrite from Perus most famous mine!
Congo is by far the worlds best region for primary malachite. This specimen shows a rosette of interleaved lustrous forest green malachite, all very sharp and dramatic. The backside is broken or contacted but the main view is quite spectacular for the mineral and shows no considerable damage. A massive and rare primary malachite specimen of uncommon crystallization!
Gracile like a butterfly on a flower, this barite composition is absolutely astonishing. The yellow tabular barite is 3-dimensionally arranged, vitreous and in very good condition. All main crystals are perfect, tiny edgewear on side-crystals is scarse. This is an outstanding piece, delicate and beautiful. Please note: Due to its fragility hand delivery is a must at this specimen. Please contact us, so we can arrange a meeting!
Brilliant in any possible way this piece catches the eye in such a manner as is remarkable for a gwindel this size!Perfectly clear with pristine luster and free of any flaws this gwindel is a real jewel. The combination with a protruding prismatic quartz crystal adds much to the overall aesthetics. For a better view on the 3-dimensional character of this piece please watch our video. This is a real killer and a one of a kind quartz specimen!
Doubly terminated, right-handed and sharp, this main crystal freely protrudes from its "base", another smoky quartz thats thicker yet largely contacted at the back. The main crystal is perfect all over with a sharp and flawless termination, a body that is virtually free of internal cracks or inclusions and a lustrous surface. The terminations are somewhat chloritized but only slightly, still allowing the view to the crystals clear interior. An appealing specimen with typical Val Giuv color and quality!
An Alpine wonderland that is naturally composed of white adularia, metallic black hematite, silvery sparkling muscovite and a 4.8 cm tessin habit smoky quartz that prominently protrudes from the top. There is no damage to speak of, the backside seem naturally broken. As you can very well see in our video, this paragenesis appeares very lively and is a perfect manifestation of classic Alpine character!
