Two adularia crystals are grown together to a quite impressive floater-piece of good quality here. The crystals are glassy and show very nice luster. Most beautiful about this specimen is the surface of the polyhedral main crystal, which reflects the light in many ways and shows rainbow-colors at the core. Perfect textbook aesthetics combined with high quality crystals is like the holy grail for every mineral collector. This smaller specimen nicely offers these characteristics. Brilliantly lustrous tabular hematite with brightly red rutile, presented on a small matrix-piece that is covered with calcite on all sides. Still, there is one blemish to be mentioned: A small break at the very top, that loweres the price on this otherwise perfect specimen. A fantastic piece if you can live with a small imperfection!
