This quartz is quite characterisic for the locale. Stepped growth with etched faces, a sharp termination and some associated hematite, feldspar and limonite make the origin obvious! The crystal is mostly opaque but has a brilliantly glassy part at the sharp termination. This part even has some purple color which can be revealed by some direct white light from the right angle. The whole specimen is in very good condition with even the bottom being re-healed, not broken.

Water-clear, beautifully skeletalized and absolutely flawless! This amazing quartz shows unique shape and outstanding quality! The upper half of the specimen has an unusually tapering yet well defined shape while the lower half is much more skeletalized and leaves no discernible crystal habit. Those two halfs combined make for a lovely specimen of unusual sparkling character!

Shape and size of this exceptional garnet crystal are totally unusual! The crystal is a floater of elongated pseudo-prismatic shape with a size of 4.5 cm! It is a complete floater with a perfectly shaped upper termination and a small quartz crystal sitting on the fully crystallized bottom. The spessartine is mostly dark but with an inner fire burning beneath the beautifully structured and flawless surface!

Copper-bearing adamite from the Ojuela mine is a classic and highly appealing due to the shiny, translucent crystals with their attractive green color! This adamite cluster is nested in a brown limonite matrix which provides a well contrasting background to those superb crystals. Very beautiful and in great condition!

A sharp phantom quartz crystal of splendid quality from the unique finds in Hyderabad. The crystal is highly lustrous on all sides and grants a 360° view on the very well developed and distinctive purple and pink phantom. The condition is really great with only contacts at the side and micro-abrasions here and there but no damage. Our video shows the beautiful quality of this excellent quartz!

XR465 - Rutile - Sold
Untersulzbachtal, Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 3.3 x 2.3 x 1.3 cm

First of all, this rutile knee twin crystal is large and spectacular. That being said, I have to admit that it's not quite perfect. Part of the lower "leg" is broken and missing, another part is still there but repaired. However, the sheer thickness of 1.3 cm, the sparkling red surface and the combination with some white feldspar makes this piece really special all the same. The somewhat chloritized terminations on top and bottom show that this is in fact a floater.

FH204 - Topaz with Quartz and Feldspar - Sold
Small Spitzkopje granit stock, Spitzkopje Area, Erongo Region, Namibia
Size: 6.8 x 6.1 x 4 cm

This is an excellent topaz from Small Spitzkopje granite stock which is a classic locale for the mineral. The piece features a single main topaz crystal on a matrix of quartz and feldspar. The topaz is completely perfect, water clear, sharp-edged and shows a wonderful complex architecture! It is set in the middle of that very ncie and well crystallized matrix. An excellent piece for this classic topaz site!

TM743 - Rhodochrosite - Sold
N'Chwaning Mine, Kuruman, Kalahari manganese field, South Africa
Size: 2.9 x 2.1 x 2 cm

A classic rhodochrosite from the important locale of N’Chwaning with a thumbnail size of 2.9 cm. Due to the small size it’s a rather inexpensive specimen but make no mistake, it is a beauty all the same. Crystal quality and the red color are excellent and contrasting with the black manganese matrix. Some of the crystals are chipped but which is hardly avoidable on this material.

BC198 - Quartz - Sold
Brandegg Klamm, Untersulzbachtal, Oberpinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 8.5 x 6.3 x 4.7 cm

The piece is from the so-called "Ramsauer Kluft", found by Josef Ramsauer in 1971. Quartzes from this cleft count among the most beautiful in the Eastern Alps, thanks in no small part to the fine greenish chlorite that adorns the tips of the crystals. The glassy transparent crystals are spatially arranged and grown on a piece of matrix that is also crystallized all around. An exceptionally delicate and brilliant piece in almost immaculate condition.

JN689 - Fluorite - Sold
Steinbruch Rehrl, Vorderkrimml, Wald im Pinzgau, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 10.6 x 6.3 x 4.9 cm

Krimml fluorites are unquestionably a well coveted species among Alpine mineral collectors. But above all, the intensive blue color (in contrast to the more common green or turquoise) distinguishes this very piece!
It is particularly beautiful in daylight, but cold artificial light also emphasizes the blue color very nicely. It is largely in excellent condition. Only in the upper left corner is a contact zone to be seen, but which is certainly acceptable for such a special piece. The fluorite comes with a label by Dipl.Ing. Kontrus (Vienna), who apparently acquired the piece as early as 1961. A historic piece, then!
A wonderful piece that is undoubtedly even more beautiful in nature!

Size: 12.6 x 9.5 x 5.7 cm

A perfect floater with a very interesting combination between a yellow calicte, a smoky quartz and some small adularia crystals, which makes this specimen truly unique! I have never seen such a nice combination before from this locale. Some small chlorite is also present partially.

A very good gold is well situated on a quartz matrix here!It has a bright yellow color and good luster! The contrast of the yellow gold to the white quartz is intense and makes the piece very showy! Alpine gold is very rare and therefore this is a perfect fit to every alpine collections! Beautiful in person!
