A small pearl and a sparkling one! Absolutely brilliant luster shines on this gemmy crystal of utter beauty. Its star-like shape is just exceptional and visible from all sides. A piece that exceeds its physical size by far. Being free of any visible damage, this specimen is a real jewel!
The most unusual shape of this fluorite from Brandberg is just unbelievable! Perfectly symmetrical and without any contact, matrix or damage anywhere. You might see this as a cross, even the cristian symbol, but the round shape and the kind of human proportions also could be interpreted as an absolutely adorable little person. I have honestly never seen a piece like this before. The honey yellow fluorite is nicely translucent and shows a silky flat surface. At the inside you find some inclusions, not really disturbing on a marvelous piece like this. Totally unique and a real eye-catcher in any showcase!
An unusually aesthetic paragenesis of quartz and fluorite, associated by some smaller, sharp arsenopyrite crystals on a dark muscovite matrix. Most dominant are two brilliant quartz crystals at the back which oppose a single purple fluorite cube. The quartz is clear, shows excellent luster and a very distinctive and attractive phantom. The fluorite is of similarly high quality, clear and of nice purple color. Some edges show very minimal wear and there is a contact on the muscovite but there is no actual damage to report. An outstanding piece of high quality and superb composition from Yaogangxian, one of Chinas richest mineral deposits!
This is a star-shaped quartz cluster with brilliant augelite crystals distributed between the quartz. It is a perfect floater of excellent quality. The augelite is exceptionally sharp, gemmy and of a intense green color. Pieces of such crystal quality - both on augelite and quartz - are a rare exception as mostly the color is pale or crystals are in bad shape. Fortunately this piece is in excellent condition and overall impressive as you can very well see in our video. Terrific!
A striking and well balanced arrangement of tabular hematite, gemmy red rutile and brilliant colorless quartz on matrix. Main aspect here is certainly the massy 3.3 cm hematite "wheel" with its mirroring luster and the perfect outline. Sitting on it are fire red rutile crystals. While one of the hematite side-crystals is damaged, the main crystal is totally unharmed with only a contact at the bottom. The quartz shows the characteristic Cavradi-quality: lustrous, water-clear and with beautiful surface structure. This is a very 3-dimensional piece of classic Alpine aesthetics, a rare composition and a real stunner!
A cluster of sparklingly white quartz crystals, all in perfect condition, is nicely perched to a yellowish matrix plate that is all glistening and studded with smaller quartz of matching quality. This piece is distinctly 3-dimensional and of its very own characteristics. The quality is absolutely top, the aesthetics is catchy yet unusual. An outstanding piece for the locale with no damage at all!
This staggering quartz specimen is a chaotic, 3-dimensional composition of uncountable crystals of different size and shape with lumps of matrix and some accents of brown siderite. However you turn this dramatic piece, it is a beautiful and eye-catching spectacle without any discernible damage. The quartz is higly lustrous and translucent to transparent. The bottom is recrystallized. A brilliant and totally unique specimen!
Let's start this update with an older piece that presents its special charm in a very natural way. A lovely cluster of fluorite is nicely situated on a matrix that is naturally broken all around which forms a very 3-dimensional and attractive piece. The fluorite itself is somewhat unusual for the locale, as fluorite of this shape remind us more of Zinggenstock/Switzerland. Nevertheless the special coloring defines it as not-Zinggenstock. A colorless outer zone allows the view to a misterious and beautiful purple core. Aside of one insignificant contact, that presumably stems from ice-crystals, there is no damage to be found on the whole cluster. At closer view you find hundreds of tiny anatase crystals spread across the matrix' surface. A nice little detail on a great piece of utter beauty.
A single pristine main crystal stands out from a sweeping array of all colorless quartz crystals. The whole specimen is in exceptional condition with the main crystal being the most impressive one. Completely glassy with a sharp pointed and flawless termination. Definitely a gorgeous specimen of unique character!
This is one perfect prehnite sphere on a contrasting white calcite matrix. The prehnite shows an appealing water-green color, is lustrous and translucent. The accessory calcite is partly transparent and slightly etched, with some quartz among it. All in all this is a piece of very fine aesthetics that features a remarakble 3 cm prehnite of flawless shape.
This is an exceptionally aesthetic specimen of colorless gypsum crystals on a dark brown, contrasting matrix. The main crystal is 8.5 cm long, freely protrudes from the matrix and, together with several side-crystals, forms an attracitve, catchy outline. The crystals are transparent with lustrous surfaces. A slight salmon pink hue is due to the presence of hematite. The whole piece is in excellent condition with no damage all around. Beautiful and striking!
The brilliance of this highly aesthetic quartz specimen is simply unsurpassable! Best wet-look luster, a completely limpid body and unusual crystal habit make for a striking little jewel! The main crystal at the center is accompanied by a smaller, similar crystal to the right and a more amorphous, milky but all crystallized quartz to the left. Some minimal edgewear is present but nothing serious at all. A just marvelous miniature!
