This is exactly as good as it gets! The quality of this smoky quartz gwindel is absolutely top notch with a perfectly limpid body, brilliant luster and a distinctly developed gwindel habit - the twist is a good 20°. Warm brown color intensively radiates when provided with some showcase ligth. The backside has a contact but which is completely recrystallized. One small chip is present but on the backside and thus not visible from the front. Apart from this the gwindel is flawless and honestly amazing in person! But words can hardly describe just how awsome this gwindel is so please go on and have a look on our video!
A ruby thumbnail specimen of uttermost perfection! The 1.3 x 1 cm ruby crystal is beautifully designed as a hexagonal prism with the usual irregular surface structure. The color is a deep pigeon’s-blood red, much darker and more satiated than most crystals we have seen around. This fantastic and flawless crystal is set on a white calcite matrix of perfect proportion and shape. An absolutely gorgeous specimen, beautiful and well balanced!
This elongated prismatic apatite is gemmy from bottom to top without even the smalles inclusion or internal crack! The water-blue color is easily visible and uniform throughout the whole apatite. With brilliant luster and a unusually well developed pyramidal termination this crystal is a fascinating curiosity of elegance and perfection!
This is no ordinary amethyst specimen like the ones from Brazil or Uruguay but it sparkles with blood red hematitet inclusions just below the surface. Amethyst of the "Thunder Bay style" is exceptionally beautiful for the strong colors: intensive purple amethyst studded with deep red hematite! This little specimen is quite lovely with best luster and intensive colors! There is some minimal wear but all in all the condition is just fine. A beautiful little jewel from the lesser known Moon Light mine in the Canadian woodlands!
Olive green fishtail twin crystals of titanite in combination with pericline and chlorite completely cover the surface of this rock matrix. The largest titanite right at the center is 1.5 cm long, transparent and flawless. Overall there is hardly any damage, only some peripheral issues on smaller crystals. The composition appears very natural and classic. An abundance of crystals on a heavy, naturally broken rock. Very unusual and hard to get from this remote locale!
This is a pristine white quartz specimen of good hand-size and great aesthetics with two dominant main crystals. These main crystals are set on an arrangement of quartz side-crystals and a small piece of limonite matrix. One of the main crystals has a chip at the termination but which is nearly invisible on the sparkling high quality quartz. Apart from that this piece is in great condition. The quartz is highly transparent and super lustrous all over!
A lovely little piece of sweeping aesthetics and brilliant crystal quality! The two main smokies are glassy and sharp and in virtually flawless condition. It is associated with some white adularia and smaller smoky quartz. The base is crystallized all around and on the bottom. A beautiful specimen without any downsides!
This single tile of white apatite looks almost hand made and polished for its uttermost perfection! The unusual procelaine colored crystal is all perfect and lustrous and is set on a nice pericline/chlorite matrix. The specific hexagonal shape is sharply market out against the background which makes this a highly attractive specimen of superb quality and unique character!
The vug inside this piece of rock matrix is completely lined by sparkling dark green micro crystals of libethenite. The crystals show great luster and gem green color though it needs some direct illumination to reveal that color. There is damage only where the vug had to be opened but all crystals are pristine. An outstanding and rich piece for that rare copper mineral. It is a classic specimen from the type locality that has seen several collections including that of Innsbruck based Dr. Reinhard Dallinger and famous Geologist Reinhard Exel.
An extremely sharp and mirroring crystal from the Wessels mine that is 3.1 cm long and impressive 1.3 cm thick. The blocky crystal is all complete and flawless with a flat, mirroring face right at the front! It is accompanied by smaller hematites and some white calcite at the back witch very much improves the overall aesthetics. Highly attractive and in best condition!
A number of lovely fluorite octahedrons are distributed over the contrasting landscape of white quartz needles. The fluorites are of a marvelous color combination, green at the center and deeply purple at the edges. The size ranges from only a few millimeters to 1.4 cm on edge. What's especially nice here is the overall aesthetics of the large white matrix with dark, single isolated crystals. Definitely an eye-catcher and in very good condition!
Blue aragonite from the Austrian Alps is a highly desired variety and usually is found at the fabous Styrian Erzberg. Even rarer is this specimen form Brixlegg, famous for silver and copper minerals like azurite or malachite. It is a very showy piece with unusual structure and lovely baby-blue color. The aragonite is grown in the shape of a winding river, 3-dimensionally protruding from the dolomite matrix. Very attractive and rare from this locale!
