Everything a world class gwindel needs is united in this fantastic specimen! What immediately strikes the attention is the brilliant luster on the amazing, well structured surface. Below this stunning surface is a glassy crystal that is completely free of internal cracks or any kind of impurities. Its color is the warm chocolate brown that is characteristic only for Val Giuv and most desirable. The gwindels bottom is nicely crystallized with some small adularia. Absolutely stunning and of highest possible quality!

Two glassy quartz crystals dominantly protrude from this specimen like rabbit ears. The quartz is sharp, lustrous and virtually flawless. The matrix is a nice combination of small quartz crystals and brown limonite. The whole piece is in best condition, a floater of perfect aesthetics and great quality!

A characteristic Swiss smoky quartz plate that was found in the 1970s by Michel Rau from France. It is a mix of prismatic smoky quartz crystals and smaller adularia in between, arranged on a white feldspar/quartz matrix. All main crystals are flawless, transparent and with excellent luster! What looks contacted around the left periphery is in fact completely crystallized and perfect. There are some smaller issues but only very few and the overall condition is just great. Nice quality and a distinct 3-dimensional feel! Ex. Jonas Norpoth collection.

A lovely little tourmaline of great brilliance! The crystal is sharp and gemmy with nice color change from skin-color to green and pink at the sharp termination. There is some white feldspar attached at the side and the termination but that only adds to the beauty of this singel crystal specimen!

Schorl from the Tyrolean Alps is rare and not even mentioned in "Moore's Compendium of Mineral Discoveries". Fascinating enough this is a large specimen with crystals up to 7.5 cm long and 0.9 cm thick. The crystals are embedded in a silvery schist matrix and complete. Definitely a rare and interesting piece of Alpine tourmaline.

A single 5.4 cm smoky quartz of nice dark brown color is set on a well balanced piece of rock matrix. The crystal is flawless and straight, it is lustrous and with a sharp termination. There is minimal chlorite on the termination which makes the surface there evenly satinated. A very straightforward specimen in best condition!

This is a very fat cluster of rutile, very showy over all. It is not perfect at the terminations, but therefore very low priced also!

This scepter is generally composed of a flat quartz tile with a "windowed" amethyst atop. Both, shape and coloring of this piece are remarkable. Chlorite inclusions and covering, as well as layers of iron oxide and some specks of sagenite grid are composing an overall appealing picture. The scepter-head is brilliant, largely windowed and purple colored at the tip.

A dark green, almost black core changes to green with a colorless termination. This thumbnail tourmaline might be small but is still a lovely piece of great aesthetics. Some accompanying albite gives this piece the special catchy looks that bigger specimen are usually lacking. The tourmaline is of great luster, with a more matte termination. Beside some edge-wear there is no considerable damage to be found here. A fine piece from Stak Nala, especially for thumbnail collectors.

I love the exceptional beauty of this etched specimen as it offers something immensely fascinating to the viewer. Color, shape and the incredibly perfect clarity sum up to an astonishing etched fluorite specimen. Very massy and 3-dimensional, flawless and simply beautiful. The color might be a little more to the green side of the spectrum but that is hard to capture on a picture. A lustrous piece of many details that is even better in person!

A brilliant thumbnail specimen of mirroring luster, excellent composition and near perfect condition. The early 2000s find at Kamoya is regarded as the best for this mineral species and there really is nothing comparable in sight. The larger crystal on this specimen is 1.3 cm in diameter, sharp and with nice detailed faces. All crystals are of characteristic cuboctahedral shape, nicley developed and of best quality!
