Since around the year 2000 the Pederneira Mine has been established as one of the worlds leading source of high class elbaite in collecting quality! This piece shows the supreme crystal quality, this mine is famous for in combination with brilliant eye-catching aesthetics!
The main crystal, around 6.5 cm long and 0.9 cm thick protrudes freely from a complex and colorful group of green elbaite, purple lepidolite and white albite. The main crystal is just incredibly glassy and lustrous with deep blue-green color. The termination is sharp, pointed and flawless with yellow color.
Overall this is a formidable floater specimen of highest class that is repaired on the main crystal but is otherwise in perfect condition and without downsides! Quality, color and aesthetics all fit together here!
This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way. This sure is the central piece of the find and it impresses with sheer size and a flood of details alike! The main view is a wonderland of dozens of sparkling, nested epidote "bow ties" of best quality! While the front is a jet black landscape of high class epidote, the backside is much more covered in byssolite and calcite microcrystals. Contacts are limited to the backside only, the front is all perfect and beautiful! A major piece of Pakistani epidote!
This is a remarkably beautiful quartz specimen from Val Gronda da Cavrein that shows best textbook aesthetics! One large main quartz surrounded by several side-crystals is perched on a well proportioned piece of rock matrix. The quartz is glassy and lustrous with only very few internal clouds. The chisel-tip termination is exceptionally sharp and completely flawless! Most unusual about this specimen however is the greenish layer that coveres the matrix. The surface is completely covered in transparent quartz which again grew over an association of chlorite and epidote, which is rare for the Swiss Alps and only characteristic for this valley! Very unusual and appealing in person!
The massive 7 cm broad smoky quartz crystal majestically towers above a supportive group of side-crystals. All crystals are of very dark brown color with great luster and very well defined development. At roomlight you might believe it to be of the opaque "morion" variation but direct backlight reveals a completely clear interior with a sculpture-like inclusion in the middle. The piece has some edge-wear but is overall in very good condition with no damage anywhere. Even the bottom is not broken but only contacted or even crystallized in parts. An outstandin piece of highly appealing aesthetics, superb quality and imposing size!
This Paprok tourmaline unites everything we look for in a high class specimen! Nice combination of colors, great luster, a sharp pointed termination and even small side-crystals, all found in this crystal of remarkable size! The tourmaline is gemmy from bottom to top, almost transparent and displays an amazing color zoning: Orange at the lower half, deeply emerald green in the middle and strikingly pink at the terminal zone. The termination itself has a pyramidal shape, is lustrous and with a brilliant surface structure, all perfect and unharmed! All over, this specimen is flawless and nicely lustrous along the striated prism faces. Two small side-crystals near the bottom complete the picture. A marvelous tourmaline with no downsides!
The find in the western Pakistani Mountains has brought a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape to the market. Sprays of dark green, lustrous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way! This unusual specimen resembles a cross of two bow-tie shaped epidote aggregates that is especially lovely! A perfect little thumbnail of highly appealing shape without a single scratch!
Pyrite is stacked upon pyrite, all towering up until one singel 3.5 cm octahedron completes the composition. All crystals show nice golden luster and well developed crystal shape. There is no damage to be found here - also the backside is an impressive show of rich intergrown pyrite. Unusually nice aesthetics, sharp crystals and brilliant luster are adding up to a superb pyrite specimen!
Color and clarity of this rather small specimen are very much impressive! The single crystal shows a deep cherry red and is gemmy through and through! With a pointed pyramidal termination the development is remarkably good for a piece of that size. Overall the crystal shows some rough edges and faces but thats contact induced, not due to damage, which becomes obvious when you put it under the microscope. Our video shows color and luster very nicely. Clarity on the other had is much better in person!
This specimen is huge and full of beauty once you take the time to go into it! As a complete floater it is fully crystallized on all sides. Be it great colorless calcite on the front or sharp white adularia at the back, there is not a speck on this rock that is not covered in crystallized minerals! The front view is dominated by marvelous glassy calcite aggregates with great luster and clarity! The calcite is surrounded by sharply defined adularia rhombs, contrasted by some chlorite. The backside is a 3-dimensional landscape of adularia and chlorite. The overall condition of this imposing specimen is surprisingly fine with only some minor contacts here and there - mostly on the back - but no damage! Hard to imagine how a large specimen like this could survive the retrieving process in such unharmed condition! A unique specimen of great size and beauty!
This staggerin topaz specimen is exceptionally glassy and sculptural in person! It is from a unique 2017 find near a farm in Fazenda do Centro, Brazil! The spectacular pocket yielded a number of skeletal topaz of different colors that are absolutely unique in the world! The crystal is of unusual shape due to heavy etchings and razor-sharp edges! It is a complete floater of sweeping 3-dimensional shape and super sparkling luster. Apart from very few minimal abrasions the piece is perfect and complete! Very special about this is also the color which ranges from champagne at BOTH ends to a colorless zone in the middle that has a very slight blue tinge. Have a look on our video for a feeling for the 3-dimensional shape!
This is a classic from the Swiss Binntal, a beautiful specimen of several water-clear quartz crystals on matrix! The long prismatic main crystal that protrudes 5,8 cm from the matrix shows great luster and a sharp chisel-tip termination that is in absolute best condition without even the slightest wear or abrasion! Colorless, transparent, glassy and attractively attached to a well proportiones piece of matrix!
This is an excellent glassy crystal of raspberry red color with a zone of warm honey-yellow towards the termination! The crystal is of good size and shows strikingly beautiful quality and color! It is super lustrous on all sides with a fantastic polyhedral termination! Atop this termination sits a small tourmaline that’s like the icing on the cake, adding a little extra to the otherwise straight single crystal. Definitely a gorgeous tourmaline of significant size and brilliant quality! Ex Fabian Wildfang collection
