Mibladen, the world's leading source for high class vanadinite! No other locality has produced such a rich selection of vanadinite specimens of quality and beauty! This specimen is an exceptionally fine piece that shows dark cherry-red crystals of gemmy quality on a vibrant matrix. White tabular barite and dark brown rock is covered in a black, heavily contrasting coating. This 3-dimensional landscape hosts a large number of vanadinite crystals in a size range of almost immeasurably small up to 1.5 cm in diameter. Apealingly beautiful for its particularly nice composition and in superb condition all around, this is a remarkable specimen!

A lovely group of quartz crystal in very best condition all around! The crystals are set on a very thin plate - obviously a mix of quartz, chlorite and limonite - that is completely crystallized on the bottom. The quartz is of rather good quality, glassy and lustrous, with all perfect pyramidal terminations. The periphery is contacted but apart from that there is nothing to worry about. Have a look on our video for a better impression!

XY24 - Quartz - Sold
Tessin (Ticino), Switzerland
Size: 8.2 x 7.4 x 5 cm

One single stocky crystal of glassy quality that is partly encrusted with a mix of limonite and chlorite. This crust adds some character to the otherwise straight and classy crystal. The quartz is lustous and limpid to the very most part with only some internal cracks but really not much! The bottom is completely re-crystallized and free of damage. Overall the condition is extremely well and if it were not for rough edge at the backside I would call it perfect! A very likeable specimen of great quality and appeal!

TA27 - Arfvedsonite - Sold
Mt. Malosa, Zomba District, Malawi
Size: 7.9 x 5.4 x 3.8 cm

Much less known that the outstanding aegirine specimens from this remote locale are the not less important black crystals of arfvedsonite. With close to 8 cm this is a dramatic specimen for the rare mineral. Black prismatic arvedsonite crystal with small aegirine needles attached to its surface and contrasting cream-coulored orthocalse crystals on its basis combine for best textbook aesthetics. The floater has no visible damage which is impressive considering its long history! This classic piece has been in the collection of Dr. Reinhard Dallinger (label included) in Innsbruck from whom we were able to buy it. It has been published in an article on minerals of the Mount Malosa area in the Mineralogical Record 1994, Vol. 25 (issue 1), page 33. The specimen is also pictured in Eberhard Equit's famous work "The world's Mineral Master Pieces", 2002, page 153.

Size: 7.9 x 6.6 x 5.6 cm

High quality colorless fluorite from this abandoned mine in northern Italy is famous yet extremely rare on the market. The optical clarity of this specimen is characteristic for the locale and especially well visible on the large main crystal that's well over 3 cm on edge! This main fluorite is set on a stepped cluster of evenly transparent crystals. While color and quality are rather uniform about this piece the main crystal sets itself apart from the rest through its great size and the resulting window-like front face that grants a view upon the blueish, opaque interior. The whole specimen is in exceptional condition with only very insignificant edgewear. An outstanding piece from this rare locale!

PI4 - Hematite with Quartz - Sold
Fibbia, Fontana, Central St. Gotthard Massif, Ticino, Switzerland
Size: 4.7 x 3 x 2.6 cm

Sharp hexagonal hematite, arranged as 3-dimensionally stacked tabular aggregates. The outline is particularly well defined despite the very organically grown rosettes that cover front and backside. The backside shows the slightly better luster but considering the arrangement in combination with the prismatic quartz the decision for the front is obvious. The whole thing is without any relevant issues, only some contact at the backside. Overall this is a marvelous iron-rose specimen of perfect aesthetics and quality in good size!

These pale green fluorite octahedrons from Mundo Nuevo have been discoveren in 2009 and are quite unique for the region, considering their attractive appearance and the superb quality! This single octahedron is translucent in a very homogenic way with a beautifully structured surface that is all flawless. It is grown on a small group of needl-quartz, acting as matrix but not disturbing from the sharp aesthetics of this fluorite specimen. Simpe and elegant on 360° as you can very well see in our video!

A light green single crystal specimen of titanite that displays rather unusual crystal shape. Unlike many wedge-shaped, compact crystals this titanite is elongated and has a rounded yet completely flawless termination! In fact the whole crystal is virtually flawless safe for one minuscule chip that is hardly visible. The surface is lustrous, the crystal is mostly translucent with some gemmy patches along the edges. Very unusual and especially rare for the locale!

Size: 3.5 x 2.3 x 1.1 cm

This apatite specimen from Alchuri shows totally lovely violet color that beautifully contrasts with the white quartz background! All crystals - the largest of which is 1.3 cm - are lustous, glassy and just brilliant! The overall condition is very well with only some damage on the smaller crystals but which is unavoidable on a elegant piece like this and not easily visible anyway! There have been only very few comparable piece coming from a single lot found around 4-5 years ago which makes this a well desired rarity among collectors! As a floater specimen it has a perfectly crystallized backside as well which you can easily see in our video! Ex Fabian Wildfang collection

A water-clear floater of very much unusual shape! Perfect wet-look luster shines on every crystal face - and there are plenty of faces, fine structures, windows and terminations. Scattered across the quartz are some single isolated pyrite crystals around 3-4 mm in diameter. Characteristic iron oxide coatings between the gaps adds some golden orange shimmer to the specimen. The whole piece is near-perfect. Only at the bottom there are some minor chips but the rest is flawless. Intriguing and beautiful in person!
