Sure, this piece needs strong light from the back to reveal its beautiful color but when provided, the deeply purple color is totally stunning. The crystal is sharp and well at the front but has obvious damage at the backside. Still, this is a worthy little specimen for the locale that strikes with dark, radiating color!
Reduced to the essentials, this miniature smoky quartz quindel offers a perfect outline, a distinct twist and a clear crystal body with only some internal cracks at the bottom third. This whole specimen is virtually flawless with great luster on all sides and an intense grey-brown color. A lovely piece with no downsides!
When it comes to composition, this piece is outstanding. Two doubly terminated quartz crystals of high luster and clarity are nicely perched on a pericline-matrix. The specimen is in perfect condition. The largest main crystal has a length of 5.4 cm. All in all this is a remarkable piece with no downsides.
A classic and rare piece from the pegmatites of Burma. Several pink tourmalines are spread about this nicely crystallized matrix-piece of quartz, mica, orthoclase and cleavelandite. The largest tourmaline is around 1.4 cm thick and in perfect condition. One of the side-crystals is broken which is a bit of a damper here but still, this is quite a fascinating combination-piece of generally high quality and aesthetics.
A real eye-catcher that strikes with best luster, clarity and a vivid inner life. When eyeing this specimen you soon realize this is in fact a doubly terminated crystal on matrix accompanied by several high quality side crystals. There is one small ding at the tip worth mentioning but which is hardly visible from the front. The rest is in great condition with some peripheral contacts and an older rehealed breakage at the lower back. As you can very well see in our video, this is a dramatic quartz specimen of utter beauty and strong, remarkable aura!
The Austrian variety of aragonite is often called "flos ferri" or (in German) "Eisenblüte". This is a classic stalactitic specimen from Erzberg that holds its very own beauty. Two parallel stems are standing out like fingers, adorned with smaller twigs and supported by a broad base of nested aragonite. The whole specimen is perfectly snow-white and elegant all around. Some damage is seen at the lower section but all major parts are intact and fine. An appealing choice of classic Austrian aragonite!
The crystals on this specimen have a bright red color, high translucency and an incredible good luster. On one of the edges some irregular grwoing is present, it is hard to say if its natural, a contact or a small damage. This is hardly visible in person and not really important therefore. Over all this is an excellent fluorite on matrix!
This tightly packed specimen is full of brilliant white pericline, mounted with several adularia crystals. As you can very well see in the video, the backside is fully crystallized too, showing adularia and chlorite. The crystals are generally in good condition with only some contacts at the sides. Distinctly 3-dimensional and of high quality, this is an excellent Alpine specimen!
It is extremely hard to find good colorless quartz gwindel as most of gwindels show at least some faint smoky color. But this one doesn't and it is just great in composition and quality! The gwindel sits on a small piece of grey-brown matrix and is accompanied by several smaller side-crystals. There is a contacted spot at the lower front but which does not disturb at all. The trapezoid shape tapers to a only 1.5 cm broad termination which leads to a very distinct twist at the upper part. The gwindel body is water-clear with a beautifully structured, lustrous surface. Concerning the condition of this fantastic specimen I can say that you would need a loup to identify the tiny ding at the termination that anyway is only visible from the backside. Absolutely brilliant and extremely rare in such high quality and excellent aesthetics!
WOW! This specimen exactly presents what most of the collectors are looking for! A dominant, very clear and perfect crystal is shooting out of a crystallized matrix like a rocket! The contrast with the brwonish matrix is highlighting the crystal very well, which is highly lustrous and brilliant. The tip of the crystal is razor sharp and not just going to a point, what looks gorgeous! I have very rarely seen a piece like this, but especially not without a repaired crystal. Most are coming off due heavy blasting at the mining process in the Cavradi cleft, but not this one. It is very hard to show the high quality on pictures, but the vido speaks for itself!
A perfect thumbnail of pure textbook aesthetics! One gemmy and clear tourmaline of brilliant green color protrudes from a matrix of white albite to form this pretty piece. The tourmaline is perfect, the albite is generally in good condition but shows some damage, which is hardly visible due to its chaotic arrangement. A fine and astonishingly well composed specimen!
This piece looks like a warped, weathered and overgrown version of a perfect smoky quartz specimen. The heavy etching that took place here still left enough of the quartz and its side-crystal to maintain insight to the original impression. Adularia crystals that are grown on and into the quartz are very much perfecting the picture. The condition is just about perfect as the only contacts there are are at the bottom and thus not visible. A fantastic piece that shows us what a skilful carver nature can be.
