Another one from the famous Rufibach-find. As before, the quality of the quartz is just fabulous and absolutely gemmy. The specimen is in a perfect condition with just some contacts but no real damage. It is nicely 3-dimensional and overall a wonderful piece. It is to mention that the bottom is cut but that's not visible anyway. A remarkably fine piece of superb quality!
This gwindel is just mind-blowing! The crystal is extraordinarily massy and of a dark brown coloring. The presence of side crystals makes the whole piece a real eye-catcher. Admittedly, there is some damage present, gravest of which is a broken side-crystal at the lower left – you can see that in the picture. To compensate for this, there are numerous features I love about this piece, fantastic luster and coloring are just two of those. The internal color-structure of the gwindel is something I have never seen before. A line at the very center of the crystal, similar to a “fadenâ€, is emerging at the bottom and extending to the top, where it expands like a fountain. A rare and impressive piece of nature!
A wonderful piece of pure aesthetics. The combination and proportion that shape this specimen are just gorgeous. Like a mountain hiker carrying his backpack, this sharp and purely white pericline crystal carries the lustrous adularia. The specimen is a floater in outstanding condition!
Fantastic quality and a whole variety of pretty details are bringing this piece to life and making it very much appealing! The quartz is of outstanding clarity and purely colorless, which is typical for the region of Cavrein. At the frontside there is some greenish adularia, as well as some rust-brown iron oxide visible, that upvalue the visual impact. Even more to its benefit there is a doubly-terminated quartz crystal lying across the top of this piece. Very appealing indeed!
Now, this quartz holds some of the prettiest actinolithe I have ever seen! When looking closer, you would not be surprised if fish swam through this water-clear quartz, vegetated with tufted green actinolithe. Simply beautiful! The specimen is in superb condition. There is one recrystallized contact at the top, the bottom is flawless. At the back you can see some matrix, where the piece detached from the rock. Luster and clarity of the quartz are brilliant. Appealing and unique!
The quality of this quartz is absolutely fantastic! Perfect clarity and luster, not one single crack and a sharp, flawless tip! The main-crystal as well as some of the side-crystals are right-handed.What is truly remarkable about this piece is not just the outstanding quality, but also the awesome textbook-composition. This specimen might be small, but it is a real stunner of extraordinary aesthetics!
The splendidly etched surface of this specimen allows a glimpse to the water-clear inside of the smoky quartz. Wonderfully appealing on all sides, this piece is a real stunner! The bottom as well is perfectly crystallized. While the major part of the surface is in almost miraculously good condition, there are one or two small chips, but none of which is significant. Without discussion, this piece is simply fabulous!
The shape and color of this amethyst scepter are very special for this locale. The purple scepter-head is sitting off-centred on a colorless body. The quality is good, though admittedly some small edgewear is present. Still, this is a very fine piece as you can nicely see in the picture and the video as well.
This thin piece of matrix of blue and orange, brown and white colors is folded like a protecting hand to hold a rich cluster of bright green dioptase, surrounded by shattuckite! The crystals are gemmy and lustrous, generously radiating their intensive open color! I don't see any damaged crystals here, even the smallest ones are in perfect shape. A nice beautiful specimen of appealing composition!
Its one of those special pieces that will definitely never loose their magic! A fantastic gwindel with only a very faint smoky tinge, water-clear and supremely lustrous. It shows a distinct right hand twist and a just lovely structured surface. This gwindel is virtually perfect and doesn't need much more explanation. One one more thing: watch the video!
This might not be the largest quartz but its quality is absolutely fascinating! The 8.3 cm specimen is from Tessin and shows the characteristic growth habit that is named after this region! The single crystal is of superb quality with brilliant luster and a completely limpid body! The surface shows fine striations and is all perfect. On the backside there are a few inclusions near the surface which add some life to the otherwiese totally smooth specimen! Perfectly well developed and with flawless edges and a pointed termination, this specimen is really something special!
A complex, pristine tourmaline specimen that combines several crystal, all with sharp cut terminations and lovely open colors! The gemmy crystals display distinct color zoning, from pink to green, white and pink again at the termination. Very lovely and in flawless condition!
