This wonderful specimen of tourmaline with lepidolite strikes with best textbook aesthetics! The single tourmaline is gemmy with a lovely pink color, great luster and a sharply cut polyhedral termination! The color is actually more intense in the lower half of the crystal but effectively reflected in the terminations many faces which brings out the color nicely! Attached to the base of the specimen is some lepidolite which adds much to the aesthetics of the piece. Very lovely in person!
A single high class quartz crystal, colorless and pristine! The elongated prismatic crystal is glassy and only a little clouded towards the termination. The surface is lustrous on all sides and shows some beautiful striations and structures. The termination is sharp and flawless with perfect mirroring luster! Around the crystals base is a cluster of smaller quartz crystals none of which is broken or damaged which is more like a miracle than simple luck! The bottom is all crystallized and sparkling. Summing up I realize how incredibly perfect this specimen is which really amazes me on a beautiful high class quartz like this! Have a look on our video to see the reflections on a 360° view!
A highly lustrous and all over brilliant quartz sceptre with an association of pericline and calcite. The sceptre is distinctively developed with a sharply cut, pointed head. Despite internal cracks the crystal looks gemmy and vibrant. Towards the termination, where the crystal gets increasingly glassy, you can even see thin rutile needles. The whole thing is in marvelous condition. Great quality and textbook aesthetics!
Around ten years ago there has been a major find of the demantoid variety of andradite in the Ambanha District where also this fine piece comes from. Characteristic for the find the main crystal as well as all side crystals are of dodecahedral shape, set on a yellowish porous limestone matrix. The main crystal is 1.3 cm in diameter and displays very good quality, bright luster and a transparent, intensively green crystal. A lovely specimen of well defined aesthetics from this no longer active site.
Thick, lustours and perfectly terminated! The main epidote of this specimen is a sublime crystal indeed! Accompanied by several smaller side-crystal it is a dominant crystal that strikes with its sheer presence! The chisel-tip termination is 1.4 cm broad and completely perfect as is the rest of the crystal. One side-crystal is repaired but which does not impair the beautifully arranged look of this fine specimen! A masterful epidote from the worlds best epidote source!
Gemmy blue topaz specimens from Murzinka are among the most desired mineral classics worldwide. Found in the Alabashka pegmatite field over the past 250 years, these specimens gathered a reputation for high quality among serious mineral collectors.
This piece features a single topaz of super quality, 3.7 cm long and 2.7 cm in diameter. The crystal shows light blue color and is all perfect. It is set on a matrix of rusty smoky quartz and brown feldspar at the backside. Top aesthetics and high crystal quality make this a stunning Russian classic!
Don't cut yourself on this one! While most of the larger crystals have textbook pyramidal terminations some of the smallers have nasty chisel tips with razor sharp edges! The completely colorless crystals are limpid to the core and simply pristine. There are contacts around the base but all crystals are flawless. This breathtaking specimen is the very best piece out of a unique find at this not so well known locale. If you are interested already, go on and have a look on our video, you will be stunned by the elegance and beauty of this fine quartz specimen!
This is a flawless and brilliant tourmaline crystal, nested in sparkling white cleavelandite, set on a lustrous white quartz crystal! The whole piece is impressive in size and of just sweeping aesthetics! There is absolutely no damage of any kind! The tourmaline shows best wet-look luster, has a distinctive, well developed termination and very good clarity, especially towards the termination. The lower two thirds contain a beautiful dark green to black and opaque core which strongly contrasts with the white cleavelandite! This core penetrates through the matrix and is visible at the bottom where it is broken but completely re-healed. Also the quartz is re-crystallized at the underneath!
This anatase double crystal from the famous Hardangervidda in Norway is one of the most perfect exemplars I have ever seen! Both crystals are well defined, of equal size and supporting each other when it comes to pure aesthetics. The anatase is complete all around without even the slightest damage! The quality of this piece is really top-notch with mirror like luster and razor sharp edges! This I have rarely seen as most crystals just do not have the best quality on the surface, which takes away a lot of the beauty! On the backside there is even some minimal matrix as you can see in our video! Go ahead and let yourself be captured by this amazing piece!
Thick and blocky wulfenite crystals of juicy orange color are set on a smooth surface of crystallized calcite! While some are clustered together there are also a number of single isolated, almost cubical crystals that are sharply marked out against the background. Although rather characteristic for the locale - these kind of blocky crystals are much different than the usual thin plates we are used to - this specimen stands out for its very well defined aesthetics. The smooth matrix emphasizes the sharply edged crystals in an impressive way! The wulfenite itself is all lustrous and translucent with strikingly bright color. Damage is reduced to a minimum here, all major crystals are complete and flawless! A classic and fascinating piece from Los Lamentos!
Very much characteristic for the Mundo Nuevo Mine yet of exceptional beauty for the well balanced composition! The pyrite comes as cubical crystals of mirroring golden color that are either sharp or with bevelled edged. Between the pyrite are white quartz spires of different sizes that add a lot of contrast and shape to round out the specimen. With no visible damage this is an attractive pyrite specimen from the important locale!
Let's get directly to the point: The color of this azurite specimen is just fantastic! At direct illumination you see a sheer fireworks of sparkling crystal faces and vibrant blue color. The quality is absolutely amazing and a good example for the stuff that comes out of Milpillas Mine. Prominently sitting on a piece of matrix with some smaller spots of malachite really benefits the overall aesthetics. Some very minor edgewear is barely discernible over the blindening beauty of this great piece!
