This rare specimen features a glassy and colorful tourmaline that’s grown on a single quartz crystal. The quartz is slightly smoky and shows great translucent quality. The bottom is sawn but all around its natural and unharmed! The tourmaline on the other hand is all perfect and brilliant! With pink, apple-green and again pink towards the termination, it is beautifully colored and absolutely gemmy! The termination is sharply defined and highly lustrous as is the rest of the crystal. Just perfect! I love the overall aesthetics that is very well balanced and greatly emphasizes the tourmaline! Ex Fabian Wildfang collection
This vivid specimen from the Yaogangxian Mine is a very 3-dimensional combination of brilliant purple fluorite grown over glassy quartz crystals. The specimen strikes with vibrant colors and very best luster all around! Most of the quartz crystals are completely covered in fluorite and - on the backside - silvery muscovite. Some second generation quartz crystals of very best glassy quality are set atop some of the peaks which adds a sharp termination to this detail rich cluster! The whole piece is of first class quality and shows no damage at all! Highly aesthetic and impressive all around!
