I love the dramatic contrast on this piece, where the single bright green emerald crystal is perched upon a beautiful black and white matrix. The emerald shows some tiny edgewear, but strikes through brilliant luster and an intense green color. The matrix shows crystallized calcite on all sides and offers just the perfect proportion for this eye-catching emerald crystal of 0.8 cm in length. A superb piece of excellent aesthetics.
Imposing, elegant and incredibly aesthetic, this is a masterly arranged combination of large cubic fluorite and flattened rhombic "nail-head" calcite on matrix. The calcite is milky white and up to 5 cm in diameter, providing great contrast for the dominant fluorite: pale green, 3.5 cm on edge and limpid to the core with nicely modified edges. The overall aesthetics is just dramatic in person with high class crystals - fluorite and calcite alike - on a beautiful, fine crystallized matrix. A weighty statue of elegance and pure beauty!
A highly aesthetic, heart shaped grey schist matrix with striking honey-yellow titanite. The main titanite crystal is a 1.8 cm long, gemmy and completely flawless "fishtail" twin. Scattered across the matrix there are a number of smaller titanites as well. The matrix itself is nicely crystallized with white feldspar on all sides and provides an appealing background for the main attraction of this piece. This is a shiny example for a high quality titanite on matrix from the Austrian Alps.
This hematite is a complete floater that shows one dominant rosette at the front and a conglomerate of several smaller ones with some white calcite matrix at the backside. The iron rose is thick and well developed with good, yet not very good luster, which might be about the only shortcoming on this otherwise lovely specimen that is overall appealing and in very best condition!
This thumbnail specimen is quite a joy, presenting a single translucent titanite crystal of striking shape, color and luster in combination with adularia crystals, covered in chlorite. A well balanced and aesthetic piece, with good color and charming all around.
The main apatite is prominently displayed on this lovely specimen in a way that offers the full hexagon! Around 1.3 cm in diameter and 0.5 cm thick the glassy crystal is not exceptionally large but well proportioned and of very good quality! It sits upon a piece of matrix that is a mix of feldspar, apatite, chlorite and even some muscovote at the backside. An attractive little floater with no damage!
This epidote from the worlds finest epidote deposit at Knappenwand shows good forest green color with the characteristic color-change to brown at the right angle. Especially at the larger 0.6 cm thick crystal this effect is well visible. This piece is in very good condition. The sides are contacted but rehealed. A typical Knappenwand epidote of nice Alpine elegance.
I love the aesthetics of this fine little specimen! A cubical fluorite dominantly and well centred sits on a supportive matrix of smaller fluorite. The crystal has bright candy yellow color, is lustrous and flawless. The whole piece is in best condition and perfectly attractive!
This is a beautiful cluster of quartz crystals, fanning out like a blossom. The crystals sit on a heavy galena matrix, covered in lovely pink rhodochrosite. Associated with the main crystals are smaller amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite. The quality of the quartz is all magnificent with no damage anywhere. A just lovely piece of 3-dimensional beauty!
This massive pyrite specimen consists of several modified cubes with bright golden color and beautiful striations on all sides. There are small issues present but which are limited to peripheral contacts and small abrasions. As you can see in our video, the backside is completely crystallized as well.
Very sharp, gemmy and dinstinctly apple green augelite crystals are arranged on a white, crystallized quartz matrix. The largest crystal has 0.9 cm on edge and is set prominently at the highest position. All augelite crystals are in best condition. A rough patch at the main crystals front face seems more like a contact than an actual damage. All edges, also on the smaller side-crystals, are razor-sharp! Nice specimen with unusually intensive color and very well developed crystals!
A rare combination of dioptase and smithsonite on white calcite matrix. The piece is dominant and attractive, with sparkling, gemmy dioptase covering the whole surface of this vug-like structure. Mint green smithsonite provides some icing on this cake but mostly yields the stage to the superb high quality dioptase. Of course the rock itself is broken at the sides and there are contacts at the periphery but the display face is completely unharmed and a true stunner! Very attractive in person!
