This convoluted quartz specimen is composed of several intergrown faden-quartz crystals which makes it an interesting look from all sides as you can very well see in the above pictures and our video. There are a few abrasions but most of the piece is in great condition. Even the bottom is completely re-crystallized.
This is an excellent topaz from Small Spitzkopje granite stock which is a classic locale for the mineral. The piece features a single main topaz crystal on a matrix of quartz and feldspar. The topaz is completely perfect, water clear, sharp-edged and shows a wonderful complex architecture! It is set in the middle of that very ncie and well crystallized matrix. An excellent piece for this classic topaz site!
The aesthetics of one single 1.4 cm bornite crystal on a well balanced contrasting quartz matrix is really exceptional here! Bornite as a mineral is relatively common as an ore deposit but hard to find as well shaped crystals or, as in this case, as aesthetically appealing specimens! This specimen is a complete floater of well crystallized white quartz. The single bornite is perfectly shaped and in superb condition.
This phantom quartz specimen strikes with exceptionally distinctive phantoms inside those glassy and sharp crystals. The hematite phantoms have strong purple and red color and are very sharp. We have seen many of those pieces but the quality here is really striking! Yes, there are small damages as well but it is near impossible to get pieces without at least small chips here and there. All in all, the quality and condition is very good and I see this as a striking and beautiful specimen!
