The main crystal that sits atop the natural rock matrix is 4.5 cm long, well defined, lustrous and transparent. The lower end is also terminated although intergrown with residual feldspar matrix. I like the way this crystal is prominently presented. The condition is very good. There is a tiny chip at the back, the rest is unharmed.

YS513 - Smoky Quartz with Adularia - 190€

Size: 7.8 x 5.5 x 3.4 cm

The first thing that catches the eye is the strong contrast of dark brown smoky quartz and bright white adularia. But once you realize that every surface on the underside and the back is fully re-crystallized and flawless this piece gets really amazing. A complete floater of unique character!

AC488 - Titanite and Pericline - 1150€
Bruchgraben, Hollersbach valley, Hohe Tauern, Salzburg, Austria
Size: 12.2 x 9 x 2.2 cm

Itn't it beautiful? That combination of grass green titanites on a bed of crystallized white pericline?
It's a thin plate of rock that is completely covered in this enchanting miniature landscape. The largest titanite is about 1.4 cm long but that's hardly the main feature of this specimen. Much more significant is the exceptional green color, the beautiful quality and, which I cannot stress enough, the lovely overall composition. Absolutely amazing in person!

This piece combines three very different glassy quartz crystals. An elongated one, a thick short prismatic one and one that is just a shard but with nice bevelled edges. The luster is phenomenal all around and there is no damage present. Even the backside, as you can see in the second picture, is completely crystallised and spectacularly beautiful. The short prismatic crystal on the right has a small ding, the rest is perfect.

This is a fascinating quartz that convinces not only with its massive size but also with its brilliance. The piece consists of two parallel fused quartz crystals whose pyramidal terminations stand out clearly at the top. The whole piece is in very best condition from top to bottom. As you can see from the pictures, there are internal stress cracks, but no external damage. The underside is also not broken, but completely crystallized, as can be seen on our video. To unveil the full beauty of this rock it's best to hold it up in natural daylight and let the light play on the complex surface and bring the transparent crystal body to life!

TZ618 - Hematite with Rutile - 550€
Cavradi, Val Curnera, Tujetsch, Graubünden, Switzerland
Size: 3.1 x 2.8 x 1.5 cm
Watch Video

This small hematite specimen shows a nice and very distinctive composition. A small piece of Feldspar matrix is set with highly lustrous black hematite, which provides a striking contrast. The individual hematites are sharply crystallized, unusually thick and largely perfect. On the back, which is crystallized as well, small breaks can be identified at close inspection, but those are hardly discernible at all. The main view is distinctively composed and also set with small rutiles and quartz. A really nice little piece of high quality and appealing aestehtics.

LT318 - Smoky Quartz - 950€
Zinggenstock, Grimsel area, Hasli valley, Berner Oberland, Switzerland
Size: 6.5 x 5.1 x 4.5 cm

The beauty of this specimen lies both in the first-class quality, known for Zinggenstock quartz, as well as in the beautiful overall composition. The longest crystal is a good 4 cm long and nicely nested between smaller equally high quality smoky quartz crystals. The condition is also quite impressive with no damage anywhere to find! A look at our video immediately shows the high quality and the all-round beautiful and spatial arrangement of the crystals.

Schrammacher, Zillertaler Alpen, Nordtirol, Austria

Fluorites from Schrammacher - a remote mountaintop in the Zillertal mountains in the very south of Austria - are exceedingly hard to come by yet represent some of the finest fluorites from our beautiful country. This one is a single crystal fluorite with a lovely pink color and some green chlorite inclusions. It is very well developed and in very best condition all around. The backside has some contacts but all is nicely re-crystallized. It is a magnificent specimen from this reputable locale.

VS184 - Strontianite - 480€
Oberdorf an der Laming, Bruck an der Mur, Styria, Austria

This rich translucent beige strontianite specimen shows unusually appealing and surprisingly symmetric composition. Like a bouquet of flowers or an artfully crafted brooche. Hundreds of well shaped and undamaged pointed crystals, all showing excellent luster. The backside is contacted but the main view looks just lovely!

UW243 - Smoky Quartz with Adularia - 275€
St Gotthard Massif, Tessin, Switzerland
Size: 8.4 x 5.5 x 4 cm
Watch Video

This dark brown smoky quartz crystal is associated with an exceptionally well defined adularia crystal of impressive quality, visible at the specimen's bottom. This combination, as well as a growth of tabular mica at the backside, makes the piece special. The smoky quartz itself has a brilliantly lustrous front, it is well defined and in very well condition with only some abrasions at the backside. As you can see in the picture there are some internal cracks and inclusions but apart from that the crystal body is transparent and has a nice and warm brown color.

IG532 - Quartz with Pericline - 1100€

It's a combination of quartz on periklin from Grieswies area. The 7.2 cm long main crystal is set on a vibrant 17.5 cm long piece of natural feldspar matrix. The quartz show very nice transparency and, especially on the front, quite brilliant luster. The right crystal is damaged on the back, but this is not visible from the front. The matrix is an all-natural mixture of blocky periclines with smaller quartz and green chlorite, as well as a group of pyrites on the back. The underside is also completely crystallized and natural.

Large and blocky porcellaine-like pericline crystals with a contrasting structure of orange-brown limonite and small pyrites. It has a wonderfully appealing aesthetic that emphasizes the exceptional size of the crystals, the largest of which is 1.6 cm thick. The condition is virtually perfect all around.
