This fine tourmaline from Pyingyi Taung measures 3.6 cm and is a vibrant mix of pink tourmaline and white feldspar!
The tourmalines are brilliantly lustrous and colour-intensive. A light candy pink which is really attractive and doesn't need much illumination.
Rather unusual is also the combination of flat versus complex terminations which both occur on this fine little specimen.
The condition of the piece is top notch and without any damage!
While Brazil counts among the worlds richest sources for a variety of mineral species, there is one important mineral that is known to be scarce: fluorite.
This stunning piece was found as part of the same pocket as the large etched Topazes in 2017. This one-time find at a Farm near Fazenda do Centro (Espírito Santo) again yielded only a limited number of fluorites and was much better known for the Topazes.
This specimen features a perarlescent white piece of albite with lovely ocean-blue fluorites.
The main crystal has a maximum extension of 5.3 cm. It is an etched and modified cubic crystal with nice open blue color, great luster and transparency.
One side is flat but also this is not cleaved but nicely crystallized.
The condition of this whole specimen is incredibly good. It appears to be a complete floater and shows ideal aesthetics!
A titanite specimen from old finds in the Campo do Boa mine in Brazil. Titanites from this locale are rather remarkable, displaying fresh vibrant green color, gemmy quality and stunning crystal size! This specimen strikes with most beautiful surface structure and sharp development. A little feldspar matrix is present and adds much to the overall aesthetics! There is one small chip I need to mention. It is right at the tip and, although not too catchy on this vibrant piece, it certainly has an influence on the price. A brilliant little specimen!
The cactus amethysts from Boekenhoutshoek are really something special. This specimen shows distinctive aesthetics, it's highly lustrous, sharp-edged and flawless! In contrast to many pale specimens from the area, this pieces show a particularly rich purple color and first-class quality!
It’s an unusual sculpture of amethyst crystals on a single large quartz. What impresses me most on this specimen is the way these orange and purple amethyst crystals are grown all over the upper parts of the base-quartz like a fashionable scalf. There is really a lot going on on this specimen and all is in very best condition.
The main crystal is 2.3 cm long and is characterized by a vivid, open emerald green color that does not require any direct lighting.
Luster, clarity and color intensity are combined here in an impressive way!
In contrast to the white calcite matrix, the crystal stands out wonderfully.
If you look at the piece in detail, you can see that the main crystal and the second crystal further down were originally one crystal. However, due to tension and movements in growth, it broke and later completely re-healed.
The whole specimen is in excellent conditon. The main crystal has a contact at the back but is otherwise perfect.
A wonderful piece of very best quality on a beautifully crystallized calcite matrix!
Massive, sharp-edged, transparent and with a distinctive “faden” right through the middle. This is really a superb crystal!
The faden-quartz is 6.2 cm at its longest extent and is a good 1.5 cm thick.
It is nice how this striking crystal is freely presented on a group of delicate quartz like it was set on a base.
All of this is in excellent condition. The only small damage I can see is on the quartz vane at the bottom right. This vane is broken at the top, but complete at the bottom. Otherwise this is an excellent faden-quartz specimen!
An exceptionally transparent, lustrous and well developed calcite crystal of marvelous cream yellow color. The crystal is complete and undamaged. Even the underside, where there is some residual matrix, shows crystallized patches in between. If it wasn't for some internal cracks the calcite would be completely see-through with this appealing, open color. Absolutely lovely!
The quartzes from Ganesh Himal are known for their beautiful green chlorite inclusions.
But rarely are they so extraordinarily beautiful in their composition and quality!
What immediately catches the eye are the crystal-clear, sharp and flawless tips that rise three-dimensionally from the base. The interplay of transparency, shine and the green chlorite inclusions is impressively beautiful!
The apatite here is quite huge: 5.5 cm on its longest dimensions. The prism length is 4.2 cm. This main apatite is complete all around without even the smalles abrasion! It has a dark forest green color. The core is actually opaque but the outer layers have some transparency and a lighter, kind of yellowish color. And to be honest, the most stunning aspect on this specimen is the fantastic composition. The apatite is prominently set on a lovely matrix of crystallized white feldspar with a distinctive pinkish orthoclase crystal. As you can see in our video it is a complete and highly attractive floater without any damage or even contacts.
We recently had the opportunity to acquire part of a collection in Namibia. Among other things, it included this beautiful baryte. It is transparent, highly lustrous and has a beautiful honey-yellow colour.
Towards the top, the crystal branches out and forms two terminations, giving it a distinctive appearance.
The general condition is excellent. Near the right termination the crystal is repaired. Otherwise, however, there is no damage or wear.
Found in 2013
This amethyst is an impressively beautiful piece. The intensity of the color is truly extraordinary, even for this site. It is an excellent floater group made of pure amethyst. The arrangement of the crystals is interesting though. The amethysts in the lower area are slightly darker and have a matte surface. The upper crystals apparently belong to a second generation. They are highly lustrous and brilliant. This contrast makes the piece unique and very appealing! On the back there is a white thorn-like growth, also made of quartz.
The overall condition of the piece is very good, even if not one hundred percent perfect. Individual small damages can be seen, but nothing disturbing, as the overall picture is really fabulous!
