A monumental, bulky, alpine type diopside specimen showing marvelous luster and deep green color on a doubly terminated crystal on matrix. The main crystal is almost 7 cm long with a square profile of 1.5 x 1.3 cm, strongly reminding me of an Egyptian obelisk. Due to this extraordinary thickness backlight is blocked entirely but at direct illumination you can make out the typical dark green color. This whole piece is a floater, the matrix is covered in small diopside crystals and chlorite on all sides. Absolutely stunning in size and quality this specimen is totally unique!
A well defined specimen with a large main galena crystal nested between an array of side minerals. Metallic black sphalerite, glassy quartz, white calcite and some greenish yellow siderite are nicely arranged around the main crystal and strongly support the overall aesthetics of this piece. The bottom is partly broken but mostly crystallized. The main crystal is absolutely flawless and very well developed. A great miniature of classic Herja Mine character!
Baia Sprie is famous for its high class barite and supplies the market with pieces of a wide color variety. Most unusal and rare are BLUE barite specimens, especially if they are of such stunning quality. Superb luster, gemmy crystals and a striking, 3-dimensional arrangement on a white calcite matrix with some associated chalcopyrite. There are only few damaged crystals which does not destract from the overall beauty and elegance of this fine specimen. Have a look on our video for a better impression of the sparkling loveliness of this impressive piece!
This tourmaline is absolutely gorgeous! It shows very intensive, gemmy apple green coloring with a pink "sugar crusting" over the blueish termination. The piece is complete all around with a re-healed bottom and a perfect slanted termination. The backside shows stepped growth but is free of damage as well. Even at low light this specimen cuts a fine figure but the direct backlight releases a flash of bright green. This is a brilliant example of a single tourmaline crystal, all shiny and striking in person!
The copper sulphate chalcocite in considerable size and sharpness is already a rarity. In this case it pseudomorph transformed into tennantite which is super rare on the market! The piece is in perfect condition. The 3-dimensional shape with crystals standing out up to 2.5 cm is very much appealing on this uniformly grey to black piece. It's an elegant classic specimen from Tsumeb and where else would a rarity like this come from?
This is another very fine specimen of the recent find! The matrix has attached many very tiny titanites. This is hard to show on the photo and looks much better in person. The size of the main crystal is 1.5cm and the whole specimen is free of damage.
This is one perfect prehnite sphere on a contrasting white calcite matrix. The prehnite shows an appealing water-green color, is lustrous and translucent. The accessory calcite is partly transparent and slightly etched, with some quartz among it. All in all this is a piece of very fine aesthetics that features a remarakble 3 cm prehnite of flawless shape.
I love the luscious colors of this tourmaline! Ranging from a deep water-blue to an elegant green in several zones, the change of colors is truly fascinating. It needs some illumination from the back to be honest, but when provided this is absolutely worth a look! The specimen consists of two elongated crystals that are grown together. There is a contact and some edge wear to be found at the backside of the crystals, which is not visible from the front. A mesmerizing piece of unusually fine colors.
Perfect textbook composition and a striking outline highlight this marvelous quartz specimen. The prismatic main crystal is water-clear, sharp and highly lustrous on all sides. Side crystals are of matching quality and nicely arranged around the main crystal. The largest side crystal has a contacted termination, encrusted with some matrix, that is but completely free of damage. The matrix is crystallized at the bottom. All in all there is no considerable damage, only peripheral contacts and a tiny ding at the main crystal that is not visible from the front. A beautiful example for high class Alpine quartz!
A flash of pure aesthetics! Like a black sun with golden beams this fantastic specimen is more than just impressive. The massive core of hematite radiates fragile rutile needles to all sides in typical 60° agles. This piece is out of a smaller find from two years ago. Only few specimens arrive at the market these last years, so we are happy to present such a masterpiece. The whole piece is perfect all around and simply beautiful. Very dominant on a showcase shelf, it appears to be on fire as it is highly sparkling all around. An outstandingly brilliant piece of Brazilian rutile! Please note: Due to its fragility hand delivery is a must at this specimen. Please contact us, so we can arrange a meeting!
It is a highly attractive combination of white quartz with embedded olive-brown siderite rhombohedrons. The coronal arrangement of the sharp and lustrous siderite crystals makes for a very much enjoyable view in person! The high quality piece is in very good condition with no visible damage anywhere. Some rough edges are due to natural corrosion but not worn or damaged. This is a real classic and nicely aesthetic for sure!
The worlds best hübnerite doubtlessly comes from Peru where this very specimen is among its finest. A highly 3-dimensional piece of outstanding quality and aesthetics that shows no downsides. Hundreds of hübnerite crystals are clustered together, fanning out and gaining color and clarity towards the top. At backlight illumination intense red light practically explodes from the many hübnerite crystals. In contrast to this overwhelming spectacle a white quartz crystal calmly takes the other side of the distinct "V"-shape. Many smaller high quality quartz crystals are scattered across the hübnerite which even boosts the sparkling effect. This is a truly exceptional piece of stunning beauty!
