Best golden pyrite in excellent condition in combination with contrasting white quartz. The largest pyrite is a 3 cm cube that is set at the very top and has mirroring luster and very nice surface striations. Directly beneath it there are some smaller pyrites and a array of elongated white quartz crystals in a sweeping jackstraws assembly. The backside is dominated by well cristallized pyrite which is nicely visible in our video. The condition is extremely good all around with only very minor and hardly recognizable issues but mostly just perfect crystals and stunning aesthetics!
Wow, this is something I haven't seen before!
A stocky aquamarine, 1.9 cm long and up to 2.3 cm in diameter, is balanced right atop a single tourmaline crystal. The tourmaline itself is very characteristic for the locale. A dark, almost black crystal with a nice green cap and some intergrown albite at the side. The doubly terminated flawless aquamarine is set at a 30° angle right at the tourmaline's top which makes for this absolutely unique and stunning aesthetics! The crystal is translucent with very nice blue color, just like in the pictures.
A single spray of forest green atacamite crystals is set on a sparkling quartz covered rock matrix. The cluster has a diameter of around 2 cm with individual crystals reaching close to 1 cm. Under direct light you will find the crystals to be rather gemmy and sparkling and there are only very minimal abrasions present. A nice specimen for this rare material!
This lovely sky-blue single crystal tourmaline is an elegant exemplar that has glassy quality, nice luster and most importantly an intriguing stepped termination. It is not repaired and in best condition.
The color is in fact a combination of beautiful pastel pink towards the terminations and blue at the center. Not as striking at first glance but even the more lovely if you give it a closer look.
A single spinel octahedron of bright red color, great clarity and sharp development sits on a snow white, contrasting calcite matrix. The crystal strikes with amazing color that is not pink but actual strawberry red which is extremely rare! The surface is highly lustrous with lovely structures at closer inspection. Deeper inside the crystal is gemmy and just brilliant. With a size of 1.8 cm in diameter it is a superb crystal on a very nice matrix!
A beautiful composition of absolutely brilliant fluorite octahedrons and white short prismatic quartz. The fluorites are situated at the upper ridge which lets them really shine with intensive green color even at roomlight illumination. The condition is outstanding all around!
The main crystal on this impressive Sweetwater Mine galena specimen
has stunning 7.5 cm on edge! It is in outstainding condition, very well developed and shows bright mirroring luster all around!
The galena is set on a marvelous matrix that is a mix of smaller galena crystals, chalcopyrite and dolomite with larger scalenohedral calcite in a sweeping jackstraw assembly.
This specimen has absolutely impressive aesthetics and great showcase presence due to size and contrast!
The condition is overall great with no visible damage anywhere.
This absolutely lovely tourmaline is an aesthetic combination of one pink single crystal with some lepidolite at both sides. The crystal is gemmy and shows intensive color. An amazing and very much unusual aspect is the termination which shows an intriguing and highly lustrous structure. It might look broken at first glance but it isn't as you can definitely tell at closer sight where you can see distinctive triangular shapes. Also the fact that the color changes to blue right at the termination is a clue that this is all natural and flawless. Very attractive in person!
This wonderful floater specimen of dark andradite is a super-elegant exemplar from this classic locale as you won't find alike! It is completely crystallized with well developed trapezohedral garnets with a nice silky surface. What looks black in normal light becomes a dark and satiated red when provided with direct backlight - at least at the edges, where smaller crystals are more easily lit. Between the garnet there is also some hematite but which is the only association on this specimen. Condition is overall extremely good. There are two contacts but no acutal damage or even abrasions.
Rose quartz, the lovely pink variety of quartz, is the rarest and thus highest valued of the quartz family. But of course its not only the rarity but most of all the striking beauty that makes this species so treasured among collectors!
This lovely specimen features a solid cluster of short prismatic rose quartz crystals with best sparkling luster and intensive pink color! Very nice and in best condition!
It's a smaller but very attractive topaz floater from the unique find at Fazenda do Centro. The quality is abolutely amazing. The water clear topaz is encompassed by a beautifully structured etched surface in overall very good condition. There is minor edge-wear present but which is hardly discernible on this fascinating specimen. The shape is like a vivid flame as you can see in our video!
Crystals from this locale are known for their remarkable color that exceeds virtually everything that has been seen before 2008, when the material from Astor Valley first appeard. The single tetragonal crystal shows impressive, gemmy cherry red color and is distinctly developed. With a size of 1.5 cm on edge and a total length considerably over 2 cm it is a formidable crystal and very well situated on matrix.
Specimens of such excellent aesthetics and crystal quality are hard to come by and a gain for every showcase!
