Quartz from this remote locale is rather rare so it is even more impressive to find this doubly terminated 14.8 cm exemplar! The crystal is clear with only slight clouds towards the lower end. The tapered shape results in delicate striations from bottom to top which are especially beautiful on the highly lustrous front! The bottom itself is crystallized and shows beautiful structure. Very nice and of best quality with no damage anywhere!
The quality of this quartz is really like glass, highly lustrous and completely transparent. Looking inside through the large front face you look at beautiful inclusions of chlorite and rock but you can also see the backside where the quartz becomes more irregular. Turning the piece around you will find this irregular backside to be completely crystallized as well, resulting in this amazing landscape. This is a highly impressive quartz specimen in near flawless condition!
A combination of pericline and quartz on a rust-brown limonite matrix. The pericline are well defined crystals up to 2.6 cm tainted with some brown iron oxide. Quartz is arranged between the pericline, is transparent and with some iron oxide as well. The overall condition is very good with only minimal abrasions.
This gorgeous specimen is composed of a sharply developed and color-intensive amethyst sceptre head on a comparatively large quartz body. The body is translucent with chloritization and hematite microcrystals at the backside. The amethyst contrasts both in color and in quality. It is transparent, sharp and shows dark purple color.
This small quartz floater is a real jewel in respect of quality and shape. Nice glassy quartz with brilliant luster reflects the light on a multitude of crystal faces. The condition is virtually flawless. Even at close examination you will marvel over the multitude of perfectly crystallized details! Very attractive in person!
Extremely sharp and well defined hematite on a thin piece of mica matrix. Especially the front view shows very best metallic luster, a sharp hexagonal shape and a well detailed rosette towards the center. The condition is close to flawelss with only some micro-abrasions, visible only under magnification. An absolutely lovely specimen of striking quality!
This amazing quartz has brilliant quality and very unique and elegant aesthetics! The main crystal is all glassy and super-lustrous with some includions but which doesn't take anything from its beauty. It is accompanied by a smaller side-crystals, a doubly terminated quartz at the base. That side-crystal is repaired once but which is hardly visible at all. There is some residual rock matrix around the base, the rest is all nicely crystallized quartz in best condition.
A single fluorite octahedron is set on a characteristic granite matrix. The fluorite is in flawless condition, transparent and with very distinctive pink color. With a size of 2.1 cm in diameter it is rather remarkable considering its quality and design. A classic specimen of fluorite on matrix from the legendary Rufibach cleft!
The main crystal at this high quality smoky quartz specimen is a stocky exemplar of best luster and clarity with a distinctive brown color. The growth pattern is rather unusual, two parallelly intergrown crystals forming a single large and dominant quartz. It is prominently nested between a number of smaller crystals that display the same beautiful quality. A brilliant and highly attractive smoky quartz on matrix!
One single titanite is prominently set on a flat piece of very beautiful matrix that itself is completely covered in filigree feldspar and chlorite. The titanite is 2.3 cm long, sharp, transparent and with nice brown and green coloring. The overall looks of this specimen is just unique and it is in outstanding condition all around!
Hexagonal prisms of transparent calcite with nice luster and low pyramidal terminations are set on a grey matrix with a nice association of calcite micro-crystals. All crystals are in very good condition with only peripheral contacts.
This is an unusual combination of jet-black hematite and milky white adularia. The hematite comes as tabular, highly lustrous crystals in overall very good condition. Along the upper ridge is a group of white adularia which provides a very good contrast. The backside and bottom are completely crystallized as well leaving this as a very attractive specimen in best condition!
