This excellent smoky quartz specimen shines with wonderful luster and completely glassy and undamaged crystals! The largest crystal has around 4 cm in length and stands out from the crowd of smaller but equally brilliant crystals. Quality is absolutely breathtaking here! The smokies are set on a piece of naturally broken rock matrix and show no downsides whatsoever!
With massive size and bright colors this is a majestic doubly terminated tourmaline specimen of highest grade! The translucent crystal shows satiated pink color with a sharp zone of ocean green near the termination which looks absolutely gorgeous! The upper termination is flat and somewhat frosted. The bottom termination is highly lustrous and also flat but with a bevel at one edge and with a small intergrown quartz crystal. The overall condition is just exceptional with only very limited edge-wear.
Absolutely fantastic, elegant and vibrant in person!
This epidote specimen is from a recent find in the western Pakistani Mountains that revealed a completely unique and highly aesthetic "bow tie" shape. Sprays of dark green, lustous epidote form this sharp clusters in a just lovely way. This is basically a singly "bow tie" cluster, distinctively developed and with bright luster! It is free of any damage with only one small contact at the lower backside. A piece of distinct shape and characteristics!
This single crystal is a complete, all terminated floater of transparent quartz. Its unique architecture produces unusual faces, odd angles and sharp edges all adding up to this distinctive jewel! A close inspection even shows very fine and beautiful surface patterns. Having only very small edge-wear this is an outstanding specimen of high quality and very much unique design!
Complex pink fluorite octahedron freestanding on a base of an etched quartz crystal. No significant damage to report, backside of the fluorite was attached to the cleft wall but is fully rehealed.
One sharply defined topaz crystal of exceptional design and quality comfortably sits on a sweeping matrix of milky quartz, surrounded by white feldspar. The crystal is completely glassy without even the slightest cracks or inclusions! The elegant champagne color is easily visible and contrasts to the white quartz. Most striking however is the polyhedral architecture that results in a large number of shiny faces in all different angles. Absolute perfection set on an appropriate scenery!
While this type of paragenesis is characteristic for Stak Nala, the beauty and aesthetics of this very specimen is extraordinary in person! It is a distinctively 3-dimensional composition of several high class tourmalines on a landscape of transparent quartz and sparkling white cleavelandite! The tourmalines' color goes from pink at the bottom to green with an opaque core. Towards the termination there is an open green zone and a layer of colorless toumaline at the top. The terminations themselves are flat but with nice bevelled corners. Very nice quality, embedded in a strikingly lovely surroundings! There is no damage present, only a stunning wealth of beauty!
Yes, there are much larger aegirine specimens from Mt. Malosa, the worlds most important source for this material, but the highly aesthetic composition of this miniature is unusually beautiful! The single elongated aegirine crystal is grown right through some translucent grey quartz crystals. Accompanied by white feldspar this is a well selected specimen in best condition!
Closed gwindel specimens are extremely rare and even more so in such exceptional quality and color! Characteristic for the locale the quartz shows warm brown color, encased in a surface of beautiful structure and brilliant luster. The crystal is encompassed by several smaller smokies, held together by a flat quartz aggregate that is completely crystallized on the backside. The whole specimen is damage-free with only some peripheral contacts but which are hardly visible. An absolutely striking and gorgeous closed gwindel specimen!
Not one but TWO high class gwindels are present and dominant on this unusually fine specimen! Our video gives a much better impression about the distinctly 3-dimensional shape than you could possible see in the flat picture. The two gwindels are arranged behind one another. The one at the back being more "classic" in shape, the one at the front showing a really dramatic twist of over 50°! Such a strong twist is extremely rare as it takes a slim yet long gwindel to achieve which is uncommon to say the least! Both crystals consist of glassy smoky quartz with a nice and warm brown color through and through. The surface is great with the top 2 cm of the front gwindel showing some chloritization but the rest being all lustrous, well structured and sharp! The gwindels are set on a piece of rock matrix accompanied by some smaller smoky quartz side-crystals. Absolutely stunning and highly aesthetic in person!
Hornspitze is a mountain right on the border between Austria and Italy (or, if you prefer, between North Tyrol and South Tyrol) that is surrounded by a harsh glacial landscape. Minerals from this locale are rare but this very specimen is just wonderful! The matrix is crystallized with feldspar and quartz micro-crystals on all sides, even the bottom, which makes this a floater specimen. Along the ridge there are several transparent quartz crystals up to 5.3 cm long and flawless. A lovely specimen with a distinctive outline and great quality overall!
This specimen shows very nice aesthetics and great condition all around. A single transparent fluorite cube with beautiful modifications is the main crystal. It is accompanied by a pink apatite cluster that adds a distinctive color patch. The base is a mix of silvery muscovite and white albite, all nicely crystallized. This is a well focused specimen of appealing aesthetics in best condition!
