PE241 - Amethyst - 5000€
Guerrero, Mexico
Size: 9.9 x 8.8 x 4.7 cm
Watch Video

This amethyst shows superb aesthetics and very intensive dark purple color! I totally love the “V”-shaped composition of brilliant amethyst crystals on a white, quartz covered matrix! The up to 8.5 cm long crystals are sharp, gemmy, highly lustrous and largely flawless with only very minimal abrasions. The intensive purple color transitions into milky white towards the pointed terminations as is typical for the region in Mexico and very attractive in person!

NL09 - Quartz Sceptre - 1900€
Diamantina, Jequitinhonha valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Size: 6.7 x 3.3 x 3.2 cm

Diamantina is well known for its quartz specimens with inclusions of rutile, hematite or chlorite. However, this very distinctive smoky quartz sceptre is a brilliant exception. The aesthetics is very straight forward: A large head of nice smoky color is grown on a colorless stem, both of which show very fine luster and sharp development. At the touching point between stem and head there is a dark zone that is particularly smoky! The overall condition is very good with only a contact at the backside and some contact induced rough edges. No damage!

FR377 - Schorl - 1100€
Erongo Mts., Karibib Constituency, Namibia

While schorl from Erongo is not exactly rare, this remarkable piece strikes with dominant size and a beautiful sweeping aesthetics! It has thick crystals that are arranged like the fingers on a hand which looks totally unique! The schorl crystals are all flawless and show beautiful stepped growth. The surface is highly lustrous, sharp and partially covered in white feldspar which adds a very nice contrast! On the backside is one broken crystal but which is not visible from the front. It is an outstanding specimen for its size, quality and aesthetics!

Sharp bright blue azurites are accompanied by shiny green malachite which makes for a fantastic color contrast! The crystals are all in perfect condition and of high end quality! Superb luster, strong color and perfectly sharp developed crystals! A perfect exemplar from this uncommon site in Laos!

XBCC - Chalcopyrite on Tetrahedrite with Bournonite with Quartz - 4850€
Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province, China
Size: 5.2 x 4.7 x 4 cm
Watch Video

This is one of the more unusual combinations I have seen in a while. A doubly terminated quartz, translucent and highly lustrous, piggybacks two tetrahedrite crystals with a coating of golden shimmering chalcopyrite micro-crystals and an association of metallic bournonite that has grown all over it. There is no damage visible anywhere on this fine specimen of pure beauty. Filled between the gaps there is even some calcite and feldspar present, perfecting the picture. All in all this is a brilliantly aesthetic, utterly unique piece of combination, contrast and 360° of perfection!

OZ1 - Tourmaline - 470€

What this single tourmaline crystal has to offer is uttermost brilliance, sharpness and very nice colors! The tourmaline is completely glassy from bottom to top where it ends in a sharply cut polyhedral termination. Absolutely lovely in person!

The single anatase crystal on this natural matrix specimen is 1.5 cm long and has a characteristic sharp bi-pyramidal shape. It has a small chip at the lower side, the upper termination as well as the rest of the crystal is perfect. The anatase is set on a mix of white matrix and quartz, some of which has chlorite inclusions. The matrix is crystallized all over and has some smaller anatase on the bottom as well. A very nice specimen if you have an eye for the more naturally developed specimens!
